    Thank you so much for the guide, especially how you walk us through the links between traits and skills as a new player!

    Thank you for the great guide. Tanking on this build are much more comfortable than with Heal Firebrand and Heal Tempest and I've used this to clear Wing 6 for the first time yesterday. Plus, the passive boon application of this one has given me a lot of downtime to observe and learn the mechanic better.

      You're very welcome! So glad you enjoyed the guide. This and Heal Herald are the two builds I have the easiest time tanking on. Having such easy access to boons means you can focus more on the actual boss so it's fantastic when you're still getting used to the fights.

    I just wanted to remind people that the traits "Cleansing Synergy" and "Reconstruction Enclosure" from the Inventions trailine has no effect on Mechanist because the healing skill on med kit is on the Toolbelt skill "Bandage Self" that does not exist on this elite spec.

    One question, I don't see any skills that do burst self-heal. WTD if you need a huge burst heal when been targetted by a boss?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's very few skills that give you burst healing with this build, but you do have a huge amount of passive sustained healing with the buffed Regeneration, Backpack Regenerator and Medical Dispersion Field. With this you can use Shield 5 for a channeled block or use Barrier Signet to protect yourself while the passive regen works in the background to heal you. I play both this and HFB quite a lot and honestly, it's much easier for me to tank on Heal Mech just due to the shear amount of passive healing and barrier you get.

    Hi! How does this work now when relics came into game? And what relic is there to use?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya! It works more or less the same with Relics now. Just slap on relic of the monk and you're good to go.

    I haven't played for a loong time. I started a new class to relearn the game. The engineer healer is something I'd like to try.. but is looking confusing. Can you run this solo or will it not put out enough dmg ?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  ปีที่แล้ว

      Welcome back! I don't recommend running a full healer build when solo. Things just take too long to kill and gives you (I think) a worse gameplay experience. You can run Celestial Gear which will function as an acceptable healer while still dealing good enough damage for solo content.

    4:41 'just keep your mech close and you won't have to worry about this change either way.' and how do we do that?
    does it mean to periodically press _F7_ ? or do we assign him a target with the _F6_ command and then hug the mech regardless of what happens?
    and while we are at it: the video didn't elaborate on how to use the *Mech Command skils 1 -3* . is it feasable to press them manually when needed or should they all be set to _auto-attack_ ?

    • @tornadofist08
      @tornadofist08 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Set f1 to autocast. Dont autocast f2 or f3. Use F2 when your sub is in the range of your mech. Use f3 when your sub is in range of your mech AND you will probably stay for a few seconds at the same spot (dont use it while moving, since it pulses the barrier and boons). By default the mech will attack the enemy you are attacking. Nonetheless keep an eye on it, if it is far away from your allies you either recall it to you with the command and then make it attack the boss again (manually) OR just use the shift signet so it instantly will tp to the signets location (useful to instantly activate f2 and f3 after)

    • @embreis2257
      @embreis2257 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tornadofist08 thx. it means always to press manually F2/F3/F7 and F6 on top of the normal skills and the 15 additional skills from the med kit, elixir gun and the elite mortar kit.
      it means this build wants you to juggle 26 different skills besides the kit activation itself. so just setting F1 on autocast doesn't make much of a difference in complexity. looks suspiciously more like playing piano and demands you to be on top of your game

    • @Vietcongster
      @Vietcongster ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@embreis2257 To be fair, most skills you only need to use situationally, and some you don't use at all. For example you almost never use Mortar Kit 2 or 3. And if you count the skills for the other viable healers, it isn't much lower than that either. Healbrand for example has 25 different skills to juggle (2 weapon sets + utilities + F2 and F3 skill sets). Healing can be a somewhat demanding job since you need to adapt yourself to the fight.

    Mech skins when? I love the idea of a giant robot on my engineer but the aesthetic and color kill it for me... give me a Charr war machine, hell I'd rather have an old Asura golem than these goofy bubbly looking green things we got.

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Being able to dye or further customize your mech would be incredible. The gold/green color scheme is a bit of an acquired taste haha.

      @gailbrookhart1777 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@connorconcarne Right. Just the ability to put one or two channels of dye on our jade mech would be great. When I'm at a fight with several mechs, it becomes hard to see which mech is mine and stay confident of our position relative to each other.

  • @Thorrnn
    @Thorrnn ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How often are you going to be critting with a heal build?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  ปีที่แล้ว

      With Fury you should still end up around 30% crit. Given Sigil of Water has an internal cooldown of 5 seconds then you will still get decent value from it.

      if the cd stays at 5 sec with alacrity that shouldnt be a problem

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was a sneaky nerf haha. With the level of boon duration Heal Mech runs though you could even remove barrier from your weapons and it would still be fine for alacrity though.
