You should react to their results.
1:57, pretty sure that athlete for them was Kyle Dake, dude was already a highly successful wrestler before using functional patterns training and once he began using their training he pretty much became the face of their brand. Coach Chong Xie did the same using Zhang Weili to advertise his hyperarch fascia training. Another interesting point to note is that functional patterns training itself is based on the idea that all movements fall into 1 of 4 categories: Standing, walking, running and throwing, which completely neglects pressing, pulling, gripping etc
Great insight
but then what about their results, most of their clients are the average person and they get better results then most rehab/physical therapy practices
This rabbit hole goes so deep
😳 haven't seen them around for a while and not interested enough to go thaaaaat deep 😅
What are your take on barefoot lifting for fighters normally fighting barefooted? Seems like someone like Phil Daru is an advocate for it, and i can see, on the surface at least, it makes some sense.
Used to do all my lifting barefoot. Great if you have no flat soled shoes. Obviously lift dependent as you're not gonna power clean barefoot. But if you've got the ankle mobility doing your squats etc I believe is a good idea. Cushiony running shoes aren't great options for lower body lifting. Would also not go straight to plyometric training barefoot
Fictional Patterns
🤭
the cult like mentality of fictional patterns trainees is absolutely insane and ridiculous
