In this video, I have started a new series called Minecraft Odd Run Out. This is the first rendition of it, featuring my friends Couriway + Feinberg + Fulham participating in this Minecraft challenge. Can I fool them with a fake speedrun world record? Or will they find the cheater?

You sounded like you liked spamton skin man (3rd run) a lot
idea: do this but instead of top runners guessing the runs do less skilled runners instead (like 17-14min pb range runners), and also have the faked run made by a less skilled runner too
I’d be perfect for that xD
The faked run needs to be done by someone that knows what they are doing tho, the pros know all the tricks

@@knightofcarrion7358 More often you'll see pros submit cheated runs! It's an actual thing. Newer players are super easy to sus out as they don't understand the game well enough to fake it well, pros however understand the game mechanics thus know what'll look realistic making them much harder and much more likely to fake a run.

it's so funny to hear one person go "wow this is so suspicious" and then the other person says "that's not suspicious at all that's great" ahahahaha
also man I'd love to hear from the fakers their strategy for making the videos for this challenge
I would really love if you went into detail about each cheat in the run, like what makes that run fake. It would be a really interesting addition
what makes the run fake is the fact that its set seed OMEGA

the fact that the viewers know that Cube faked the run made this one pretty easy to sus out (even as someone who isn't familiar with cube's playstyle, it was clear run #2 was full of high-skill gameplay + weird mistakes)
And also cube has a 5900x and a rtx 3060 so watching his f3 info kinda gives it away for the viewer

It would be cool if you spent more time going into what exactly the faked speedrun faked, how you'd be able to tell and whatnot.
@Christian Kent If it takes a world record holder to be able to tell, then I have no chance of being able to tell. It'd be cool if Nerdi said like, "you can tell this one's fake because of this this and this"

The fact that you told us viewers that it was faked by Cube definitely helped a lot. Run number 1 would have required so much effort for the timers and other stuff. Run number 3 had low fov and Cube uses pretty high fov so number 2 for those reasons. Also the playing style looked similar to Cube's.
Edit: Also, Cube used left hand, which he sometimes had on streams.
He did switch to left-hand, so I don't know if I'd go off of something like FOV. That's really easy to switch up. But yeah. That run had Cube's quirks all over it. I think if the three had known who it was doing the fake run they wouldn't have had even a second's hesitation.
@@BlueCyann Actually I forgot to mention in the comment, that Cube used to have a channel points purchase option in his twitch chat, where you could switch to left hand for like 10 minutes.

I only figured it out because of the overlay. The other 2 had instances on the screen, while Cube uses wall.
@@cupcake7.-. I thought about that but it's easy to setup, if that would be the only thing to change. If you have many of them such as downloading livesplit and editing timer settings, it's harder.

I'd probably cut the words leading up to the reveal of Cube's name the 2nd & 3rd time, but you were probably on a tight deadline and needed to be finished with it. I went and subbed to Cube on YT; can't believe I hadn't done it before.

You should get two leaderboard players to pretend to be beginner speedrunners and get an actual beginner speedrunner to complete a run and get people to guess who's actually a beginner

This should have some short explanation from the runners of every runs after revealing the fake one. It would be interesting/funny to hear what they were thinking atm ,what made them do weird/stupid decision in the real runs, their plan to make the fake run look legit

Been enjoying this series, finally decided to sub when I heard the banger torna battle theme come in and I knew you were a man of culture.
Still enjoying the content. And love the change up to get cube to run the game seed. So much fun!
Still, though, I would like to see some interaction between the runners that are trying to figure out which one is faked. For instance, if they were arguing about why one was faked rather than another, that would create tension for the reveal. Cause right now the tension before reveal is really low. If you can ratchet that up, you'll really have something special.

I knew the whole time that it was run 2 cuz the computer specs gave it away you can tell for cubes F3 and run 2 F3 within the computer specs area.

can anyone explain what feinberg is on about? I find it interesting how he thinks mathematically but I can’t really put all this math terms into perspective for minecraft speedruns (like at 12:17 he mentions standard deviations and percentages).
