Love you guys so much! This is one I wrote years ago. I added the outro to try and make it a bit more epic haha I want to be a man of integrity. Over anything else. I've been writing a lot about that lately. The struggle of a broken man trying to overcome his instincts for iniquity. I think I may turn that concept into an album ;) Thank you so much for listening! I could not be more grateful!

I appreciate the internal exploration expressed in your art. Your voice sounds built for such "alone in the dark" themes.
I do however want to offer a word of caution best expressed by the philosopher Nietzsche "When you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you." Take care that you do not lose yourself whilst soul searching.

Nathan told me the other day he wanted his music to be a genuine expression of himself and not just in the sense where he builds his brand on simply giving a false appearance of being genuine but truly going for it and trying to be honest in expressing his true thoughts and emotions. There's such frustration and sadness in this... like, I can see someone holding their head in their hands in sadness in the beginning, then tearing at their hair in frustration while screaming... then tears. Also like an inner struggle put to words...powerful. It's very visual. Amazing, as usual. You emulate my motto: music is life, that is why the heart has a beat.
Someone should do a dance to the instrumental portion. I can see it in my head... I'm not a dancer, but it should be done.

Hearing this song I must ask you if you ever have heard of high sensibility? To me the text explains the complicity of being highsensible and living around people who are projecting their bad feelings and energy on you. I know this from my own life. I want to point out high sensibility is not a disorder, not a sickness. It is a type of personal characteristics. If you never heard of it I would dearly recommend to read about it. It may come as a very big „aha“ moment.
Anyhow this text is a blessing for all highly sensitive and on the behalf of us : thank you Nathan for that. 🤗
So many have no idea that they are high sensitive and think therefor they are crazy. It is very important to spread information about it and reach out to people who still suffer in scilence (🤔uh think my next song will be titled that😅🤣).. anyway I got a really good tip for everyone who have problems shutting other people’s feelings out, their negative expectations and energy. And that is to give it back.
Ask yourself: „Are these my own feelings, thoughts or pain? Or is it inflicted and projected on me from someone who knows me and doesn’t want me to be happy?“ Then say out loud: „Who ever this shit belongs to, let it go back to them.“
If it isn’t your own than within minutes it will go away. If not then it s your own. If I don’t know about I’m high sensibla then I might blame myself and the person who is tormenting me can go on. Preventing me from freeing myself. Sometimes only distance is the way to protect oneself from them. Unless giving it back works.

Your songs have all been wonderful inspiration for the stories I’m writing haha. This song reminds me of the ex-villain in my story named Mal. He’s had a hard time accepting and forgiving himself, and he also has to deal with his old “master” constantly trying to manipulate him back to her side by telling him he’ll never be good enough to be on the hero side. Great work on this, thank you so much for what you’re doing :)
