Hi mam,I tried mysorepa recipe yesterday.but it came out as mysorepak .but taste was very yummy .I would have missed the correct padam in the last stage.the ghee started separating even before I could add full amount of ghee.what could be the reason?take Ur own time to reply.u ll be busy now.i used the pressure cooker pan to do this.ur tips are so helpful.maavu Katti thattavae illa.just perfect.

For Mysorepak you have to heat and melt the ghee. Add hot ghee little by little. If it is boiling hot Mysore pak will turn out dark. If it is just melted colour will be light. Correct temperature gives best results

My mother was a big fan of yours... I have a doubt. Shouldn't we dry roast besan before making the Mysore Pak?
You can dry roast lightly.No harm in it.But it is not compulsary.

You can use karuppatti.I have given that recipe also.Please see under heading Sweets in my check list.
Palm sugar is called karuppati.Jaggery is made from sugarcane.

Depends upon the quantity. Approximately 7 to 10 minutes.Depends upin your vessel also.
