They tried to brute force Barkion to give up on their goal and their love life entirely just to be with them. Sure, they may not be mature by then. But from that to openly admitting they *somehow* know about something you didn't tell ANYONE in the guild, it's just.. not right. I understand Barkion. It's true Barkion could have talked it out as well, but Zoroark really had that coming to them.
Barkion could've also offered Zoroark to come along...even though it would still turn out the same from feeling like a third wheel in the relationship!
@Drago9545 as i mentioned, Barkion could have also talked it out with Zoroark. And I don't think it's the feeling of being a third wheel. Zoroark wasn't jealous, they were scared of losing Barkion. They wanted to be with Barkion still. Notice how they blindly attacked the other team members of Barkion. Yes, they think that Braixen took Barkion away, but if Barkion had been clear from the start or if Zoroark had been nicer about it, they would likely get along very well. I see her making both of them realize what they did wrong and make them reconnect in the next episode to be honest

You know the thing is... I don't think it would have worked out too well. Barkion's team is just fighting types. Ditto isn't a fighting type. Neither is Zoroark.

My god that was so awesome to see it all unfold! I really anticipate how it all ends in part 4 where the exam unfolds and how Zoroark's transition to sheer madness began the day Barkion moves away. Great stuff Bow!
I really like how Zoroark is handled, the whole “Ditto are genderless so it’s and IT” conversation really hit home for me as I have a non-binary friend who has had a very similar experience to that, being referred to as “it”. But I do also find it kinda silly that everyone is just listening to Zoroark pour their heart out and Gus just says “that’s a you problem” very nice episode.
First off, maaaannn, it's been too long since I've last seen an episode like this (although I've yet to see what happens to the other crew that has yet to figure out where the heck the magnezone and the valuable items went to take some of the Pokemon back to the human world apparently). So seeing this episode here, I'm glad you were able to make one after a three year hiatus from your fan stories I've read in the past. I originally was going to post my comment at one point when this episode came out on Christmas day 2024. However, when I closed out my browser, I realized I accidentally left my comment unposted, so all of the stuff I've typed up is completely gone now. So I have to re-type this up again. As for this episode, while watching this whole thing, Barkan really sounds like as if he just made a friend, but she had no clue the partner she was with this entire time, will be leaving to go back to his Delphox/Braxien lover. And yet, not a single person in the guild loves that person that much, and thus treat her like crap. That's gotta suck to know that, and considering I would rather see her evolve into a Yveltal at some point in the future to cause out lash and anger towards someone or something, I don't know how the Lucario is going to feel with having to deal with this person, even though Barkan has no clue this Lucario has already married his Delphox lover for years prior to Barkan.... Again, thank you so much BlackRaveBow for this episode, and I definitely look forward to seeing how this ends up.

The zoroark struggle is try to find a place to call home, issue would be that that giving too much importance too what others think of them plus over rely on Barkion turn it the unhinged mode, but I guess we'll have to see how the story concludes to understand what happened. Tough luck they didn't to the dinner, and sadly the Spinda's Cafe is not still a thing.

Unhinged, and honestly if that wasnt a good enough reason for him to be after her, she's in a way, to him, the source of his separation from bark. It will be exceedingly hard to get Zoroark to let go of either of them. I'm a little too certain this will end violently unless the trauma of his "imposter" syndrome can get resolved by a village of people who can show they care. Not likely while he's doing this..
I missed seeing this series. It's great getting another episode While I see what Zoroark did wrong, I can understand why. I could not imagine how bad it would feel to not be comfortable as yourself. There's probably a lot of conflicting emotions and feelings.

still uncertain who's at fall i mean misconduct on zoroarks part but i think its a little on bark for not saying from the start, they've been nothing but supportive, diddo/z didn't know what they wanted from the world or what to be in it and only just found that out recently this episode it feels and lost it in that same time span, can't be more then what you are or any less then what people expect of you is a very good trope and this wrighting is astonishing and i love it looking forward to more X3c

zoroark feels very trans allegory or alterhuman/otherkin allegory. as someone who is both, i feel that both of them are at fault here. zoroark should not have been so obsessive and expected something in return, and barkion should have told zoroark about why he was an explorer. i hope that they can sort this out peacefully!
