Every day I get older, the more relatable D-Fens gets.
All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy.
This was great. Very nice. Now let's see Paul Allen's Falling Down Tribute
The more realistic Postal movie
I heard that this movie was an inspiration for Postal 2. You are just trying to do normal things and you are forced to, well, d-fens
I'm not saying what he did was right
What i'm saying is...
I understand.
what wrong was it that he did? i dont see he did anything wrong people seem to forget that lack of violence and roughness is why we are in this state of constant depression and sadness.
@@thought-provoking795 violence? who wants violence man, that isnt the reason people are in a state of depression, that shit is due to the medial life we are forced to live, nobody wants to be a slave to higher people
I believe that ultra violence is needed sometimes to shock the world, but regular violence only makes people live in fear
His ex-wife was the real villian of the movie. She was preventing a man from seeing his own daughter. That's wrong. All he wanted was to bring her a present and see his daughter on her birthday. That's all he wanted. The chance to be a part of her life again. In that car, he realized in that moment that was what he needed to keep on going. He needed to know that he would be able to see his daughter. That's why he went to the phone straight away. It was never his intention to kill them. They were all he cared about. Killing them made no sense. I think the worst thing he would have done is kill his wife potentially. But not his daughter. No way. He chose to force the cop to shoot him so she'd get the life insurance money. They showed that he hit Prendergast in the face with the water pistol, implying that if had a real gun, he'd have won that duel.
It was never said in the movie, but it was heavily implied he probably was in the army reserves or something like that before getting into the defense industry, which is typical as they tend to try to hire people who are military preferentially.
@@thought-provoking795 the point of the film is to point at how ripped the "American dream" became he lost everything his house, family, the dog and finally his car the world was changing to fast for him and he didn't want to lose the memories he has with to new ones so he snapped i can understand him but the way he reacted made a change reaction of horrible things he still cares for kids seeing how he protected the little boy from the blast and was scared when he thought he hurt the little girl but like his wife stated he has a temper that went out of control that changed everything he is basically the common man that was promised the American dream but you know how dreams are they don't last forever
@@thought-provoking795 We're in this state of "constant violence and depression" because of violence and rough callous attitudes.
If you think I'm wrong, go ahead and lash out when things don't go your way and when people treat you like a little man, you'll soon find out that things continue to get harder and harder, because nobody knows what you've been through and nobody wants to bow down to a bully.
He wasn't the bad guy, don't care what anyone says. He's not the good guy, but he's not the bad guy. He's just a guy having a REALLY bad day...
What is so sad is the fact that there was a time where Foster lived the perfect life; a time where someone wouldn’t get harassed for sitting on a pile of rubble, a time where men could negotiate for an ideal price for an item, a time where workers didn’t have to do unnecessary work just to meet their work quotas, a time where people weren’t constantly stuck in traffic, a time where everything was perfect.
not perfect i get what you mean tho. theres always a better time, a better place and other people ruin it and make bad days that make bad guys
Non era perfetto.
Legendary Michael Douglas 😊❤❤❤
The most sane American worker
underrated movie
30 years later and society has only gotten worse at taking kids from their fathers. People who fight that system aren't the bad guy...
have you watched the movie he was a very shitty father
really
He snapped. He became the bad guy; but he is probably more mentally ill than really bad.
dude what are you talking about in the end it literally came out that he was an asshole to his wife and kid
@@bobsonisepic How so? By just wanting an ice cream?????
*A classic movie!*
"You've been putting it up your whole life, you just didn't know it." - Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men)
" I going Home.... " And that's all great movie how human van lose Control 😎
W movie and w edit
This has to be the best film I have never seen.
I remember that I saw the movie only, and the truth is that there are situations both the movie and real life to me, it's almost identical.
Absolute Masterpiece 🗿👌
D-Fens knew... He knew... He was us going on that rampage across L.A.
I always thought "falling down" would make a great video game. Even though we all know what would happen, it would still be fun to play.
So gta
Postal took inspiration from this movie

Middle class version of American Psycho
@Bartosz Patrick Bateman and William Foster both share significant commonalities that made me draw the connection. The characters both go through similar arcs which relate to their social and economic class, with each character suffering from their respective societal stratums which serve as the catalyst for the twos progressively deteriorating mental conditions which prompts them both towards nihilistic violence in their manic search for meaning.
I think your analysis of these characters Is quite shallow. For instance, yes, Bateman has mental problems but what caused them? yes, Foster lost his family but why did he? asking and answering these questions will find you more similarities than none between the seemingly incompatible characters.
This movie was like American Psycho = Very Nice
Front:
At Some Point, You Will Be the NEXT PERSON on Earth to DIE.
Back:
Sobering thought, isn't it? You may not have realized it, but every second, two people die. What happens then? Is there a Heaven and Hell? Are you "good enough" to get to Heaven? Look at the Ten Commandments. Have you ever lied or stolen? (regardless of value) Ever looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? (see Matthew 5:28) You may see these as "no big deal" but God takes them seriously. He is Holy and said, "be Holy, for I am Holy." God sent His Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we never could. He took God's wrath on the cross for sinners. Jesus took the punishment of His people’s sins against God, then He rose from the dead. Cry out to God for mercy, confessing and forsaking your sins. Put your trust in Jesus (rather than "good works") to save you. Read your Bible daily and obey what you read.
what is this ripoff of where is my mind
Anyone who demeans or belittles the concept of D-fens is the villain.
