Brings back a lot of memories, painted these guys around 2004. When I started in 2003, it took me 30 minutes to say "done" and be happy (mostly Goblins), then as I got better it took more and more with tiny details and such increasing overall quality of work. Last mini I painted was around 2006, it was Aragon-Elessar on horse, took me couple evenings over one week and...I never painted again since. Not that it was not fun, I just thought to myself I still have around 100 unpainted minis (had already done around 350 by that time) and I thought to myself I dont want to do them "worse" than I did Aragon but I also done have that much time on me. Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome! Yeah these minis bring me right back to the Peter Jackson movies around Xmas time. I’ve never played MESBG - just starting right now, but I really like how relatively simple yet nostalgic these minis are. They’ve been really fun and refreshing to paint (compared to Warhammer)!
To be 100% honest you get what you pay for with GW. I think GW’s paints are among the best out there. I used them for over 10+ years. But their prices are high and getting higher and their paint pots are annoying because paint dries out so fast in them. What I like about army painter is they’re much cheaper, and perform very well (and I’ve painted with them a LOT). Also I love their dropper bottles. I have 3-4 year old paint that’s as new as the day I bought them. And I can meter very finite amounts of paint onto my palette and not waste anything.

Awesome work ! Very helpful, Thanks !
Nice job man! My Osgiliath set came in yesterday. I’m currently painting Mordor Orcs.
Awesome! It’s a great set and a lot of fun to paint.
What’s your next video? I’ve been converting some of my Minas Tirith Warriors into veterans. I must say it’s been tedious. Happy painting man!
Nice! I think I’m going to work on the Troll next. It may be Friday or Saturday before that one comes out. Happy converting and painting!
Great Video. I will be painting up around 100 of these guys in the coming weeks and this video will help with my plans.
Thank you! I’m happy that it was helpful!
You use a lot of army painter products. Do you find these are better than GW paints?
