Just bought mine today. Pick it up Saturday. I was going to go with the Gray fade, but when I got to the dealer I saw the Magnetic Gray and Wineberry and it absolutely kills in the light. I am pumped!!

I prefer the grey on its own. Simple is better. I’d also suggest to HD to paint the plastic engine air deflector near the seat and make it std across the whole range. You pay enough for any bike and it would be a nice touch to finish it off with the bike colour. Great vid thanks Matt.
I have to agree with the magnetic grey, blacked out, with Kahuna. This bike is awesome. I would consider it hands down returning to the states from being stationed overseas. I was looking in the 35K range, but this bike has me thinking. Thanks Matt.
Love my Indian Springfield - was looking into the Roadmaster but this bike is a masterpiece and since I decided to spend all my money rather than leave anything to my 7 "kids" I may have to buy more than one of these. One for Saturday and One for Sunday!! :-P

I am a Harley owner - The Ultra CVO’s are very nice - I want one - but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a benchmark for all touring bikes - It does things in the Harley way which Harley riders love. But there are a number of other equally impressive high end touring bikes out there which do some things better and some worse!

Yep it is but some folks have it, some don't. Have you priced new full size trucks lately? Some folks have it, some don't. So the rest of us buy something within our budget and have the same amount of fun going down the road.
Your videos are by far the best Matt hope you keep on making them. Wish they would put stretch bag on or option. Love the Crome but not the brown. My choice would be mag and wine with Crome and black Crome or nickel. Oh ya not an option. It would be nice to site on one but the ones that come in are already sold.
I really like the silver fade as #1, then the silver /two tone red#2. The root beer float brown is a bit retro to the 70s to appeal to the baby boomer crowd so there offerings are for a wider / possibility more financially distinguished audience 💵💰

The Silver Ultra Limited CVO is the coolest. I know it's called magnetic gray but looks silver to me. Don't order the brown/chrome. That combo just doesn't pop or qualify as a CVO color.
@@MattLaidlaw Do they have bike shows for the public? When i lived in NY we would go to the car shows at the Javitts Center every year. It would be great if they had something like that for bikes for the public.
A little off this topic, when you have a chance, would be great to get your perception, or perhaps one of your shorter colleagues at Laidlaw's to compare the new narrower outer primary fitted to the 2019 Softails compared to the stock fitted to the 2018 models. Does it really make a difference? It seems that no one is talking about this change on the 2019s. When I put my left foot down (when stopped) on my 2018 FXLR, I can't help but for my left leg to be up against the outer primary. Thks.

I prefer the models with two tone paint. But personally I like the models blacked out. The bourbon and brown is nice so is the red and gray but the one I like most is the black and gray. The solid color is ok but not a big fan.
The service police bikes are available in the Road king or Electra Glide standard. Other than the two things you mentioned, there is a different plate for the police tour pack in the back, ABS standard, no radio, different mirrors, the electrical harness is different to accommodate the extra lighting accessories, wheels maybe different.
So, I have a question for you. I LOVE riding with my boyfriend but eventually I want to stop being a passenger and be the rider. The problem is that I am only 5’0 on a good day. So far, all the ones that I like the look of, I don’t fit on. I can’t reach the ground or the bars or both. I know I will have to lower one but I have no idea which one that would be best for me that when I lower, it won’t mess with the smoothness of the ride too much. What would be your recommendation for me?
At 5 feet that’s a tough fit. I’ve had luck with a lowered forty eight. Yes the ride does suffer though. You can lower any Sportster really. When you get up to high speeds then there is very little travel to absorb the impact. You’re gonna have a rough ride. It might be okay around town for you though
Matt Laidlaw How much will dealerships work with someone like me to make sure I get the right fit before I buy? Will they make suspension adjustment and bar adjustments to make sure it will be rideable for me before I sign on the dotted line?
I would buy that in solid black but not these colors, last new bike was '03 flht had to buy a standard to not get all the pinstriped parts which NOBODY wants
CVO's are beautiful but is it just me or do they not hold up over time? Seems like I see a 2014 or 2015 CVO and it looks really old to me. It's like the paint schemes get dated really fast. That might be why they're offering more of the solid paint schemes. Those should hold up longer.
I hope they do a 4th mid model color. Not fond of the "Blacked Out" bikes are really hard to keep clean. The brown limited is probably the ugliest (unless you work for UPS).

I have the grey. Best bike I’ve ever owned-price aside😒 Love it though! Commute 100 miles round trip every weekday and this bike makes it tolerable.

I've never understood why they don't have the extended bags on them. I think it's just adds cleaner lines to the bike overall.

look into the drop seat kit from fat baggers inc if your interested in a touring bike.
