A bit of en error with the carno tame. When the "smoke" comming off of the animal is red, it will still attack you (You were in god mode, that's why it ignored you). If the "smoke" is blue, it is safe to approach the animal.

Q) Does this replace regular taming methods?
A) The mod offers a alternative to regular taming. All dinos can be still be tamed their normal way, but the mod allows an option to disable vanilla taming.

This is really cool mod, I love the "blood shot" it would be soooo usual in normal vanilla taming. I'm saving for a PC, and imma use this mod in my "modded single player" ark. Thanks for the video!

Animals that require combat taming... From what I was reading you don't necessarily have to fight it. Instead you could wait until it's fighting something else and help it in its fight.
Like wait until the Rex was fighting a trike, then attack the trike. Also, apparently after a certain amount of trust it will actually defend you from attackers, which also increases the taming.
However, for all I know that stuff could all be new. This was one of the first videos I found though.

I tamed up a diplocaulus it walked towards me i cafully fed it scraps of mutton soon it trusted me now I have a new friend called Flaffy he is green and his fins are orange kinda like the dossier if you take a look a the dossier you can imagen how he looks like then it said diplocaulus granted you a present and it was 5 metal that was really generous from him then a Karpov lunged at him eagerly then I killed the Kapro then it said diplocaulus level 42 is grateful that you defeated its enemy now I’m best friends with flaffy a beginning of a friendship

I love this mod, but I'm like you. I'd prefer a choice to either tame Vanilla ark or be able to immersive tame creatures.
Do you think this would make taming too easy in some circumstances? Like for example it’s easier to unlock bait than it is the proper tranq equipment. And with modded worlds the creatures don’t have trophies and what not
I don't know if i would say easier. I think its an equal alternative for lower end tames. But for the bigger stuff, there is a decent amount of things that must be done. For instance, the needing of a trophy and multiple baits for a potiential tame. On top of the fact that bait that is placed needs to be guarded so other animals dont grab it. All in all i think the difficulty is a little higher with Immersive Taming but it does come down to server settings.
@@HarvsCorner I think that’s true but if you’re willing to sacrifice a lot of time you can get a low tier carnivore early game that’s you wouldn’t usually be able to get
@@digi3391 you get bolas, tranq arrows, and narcs pretty early in game so i disagree. Not to mention you can make a taming pen quite early as well. I do see what you're saying, but i don't think it gives you a leg up...just adds another avenue of approach

Yes it will. I believe there are ini configs for which methods you want or don't want
That's cool and all... but you didn't cover the other other taming process through Immersive Taming. The Immersive Knock Out taming... Still haven't found a video explaining it.
Sorry, never seen knock out taming that was any different from normal.
How are you using mods on console or can you use mods on Xbox!?!?
I am using a xbox controller (just what im comfortable with). But this is all PC

what happens when it gets hit by something is it untamable now? it tamed something i didnt want cuz this game is dumb a lot of the times and it attacked the guy

I don't think you are quite right when you say in the very beginning of the video that this mod makes taming more challenging. From what I've seen, it actually makes it Easier. Let me explain:
1. Dodos are usually hard to tame, because half the time I end up killing them when trying to knock them out! Bait solves this problem.
2. Creatures with a "skittish" temperament, such as parasaurs, start running as soon as you attack. Catching up with them is difficult even when you run, and you risk aggroing more dangerous dinos in the process. Once again, bait solves the problem.
3. If your taming rates are set high enough, chances are that low-level carnivores (dilos, raptors) will stop attacking you after just one bite of the bait.
4. Trikes have insane knockback. With bait, you don't aggro them at all.
5. Even carnivores which require combat taming are guaranteed to leave you alone after getting down to 50% health, after which it's essentially a passive tame.
Yes, i need to go back and do an updated video on this. A lot has actually changed since we recorded.
@@HarvsCorner I have installed the mod and it Does make taming easier. Here are some things it let me do, which you could demonstrate in your next video on the mod:
1. Taming a pteranodon without a bola. It flew away mid-tame, but came back before any taming progress was lost.
2. Taming an otter with ordinary fish bait. If I remember rightly, I also nearly tamed a coelacanth with it, but it got killed very quickly
3. Taming a moschops with ordinary berry bait. According to the taming journal, it also works on equus.
4. Also according to the journal, spiders take spoiled meat baits.
5. There is an item (I believe it is called "carnivore scent") that makes sure that carnivores don't aggro on you. Could you test that in the video? It requires human hair to make.
It depends. With my mobile taming pen, I managed to tame two spinos, a bunch of cărnos and raptors. Just pump speed and build stone raft trap. With this, though, high tier carnivores are much harder to do.
And it saves the bother of having a kibble farm.
And it is actually the more natural way to tame.
The best immersive one is Alemia's - adults are not tameable, with a few exceptions. Tames are obtainable only by hatching eggs, or taming a baby.

The chili pepper skin is actually gotten from the aberration map. Boss fights i believe
