Great video, man! It's a rather underappreciated mod for all the stuff it adds and improves. I reckon the mod-maker is always striving to make Ark's creatures better. I particularly love how all creatures get to be useful in some way or another; I love how easy it is modify to even more.

I know I am kind of late, but I just downloaded this mod because in my singleplayer I love the torpor inducing dinos and irl as well am fascinated with snakes so I used things like the scorpions, spiders and boas behind me in vanilla to do most bosses and general play like a basilisk stamina monster with a scuba tank + gas mask on in the desert just going around wrecking things from underground. So I read the notes in the guide about the changes to the Araneo and Basilisk and wanted to give them a go. Thanks for giving me some more insight into the mod, I think I am gonna love it
This mod is almost mandatory for me now, its awesome!
Got to say that this is one of my favorite mods (been using it for years), wouldn't play ark without it (also it is being continuouly updated and added to, lots of ini options)

Using a controller for Ark PC? Isn't that a pain? Anyway awesome vid! I got this mod solely for Araneo's climbing but have come to love all the changes.
I played Ark on console for SO long, its the only game where i still use a controller. I cannot for the life of me get used to mouse and keyboard. This mod and insects + really give some much needed love to the Ark bugs
@@HarvsCorner Well, I can see that. I still use a controller for third person shooters and action-adventure like games so don't feel too bad.
@@HarvsCorner I sometimes use it, so I can relax my back on the couch. Was especially handy when I was playing the Windows Store version (buyer's remorse) but now I have access to the Steam Workshop. So, YAY! Autorun mod! :D

This is one of my favorite mods. The Achatina and fish are also now much more useful as tames since they can eat out of a feeding trough after taming (no more veggie cakes after taming) and the fish can give you resources or items in their inventory that may not always be easy to get or make, especially at low level.
Oh yeah! Currently using it on our Genesis server.
Harv's Corner the best thing is that you can now tame mantis in genesis cause of the karkinos change
@@haeuth684 Do you know if this affects the mantis on Extinction? I know devs removed the corrupt deathworm, but I can spawn in a few just for the experience/fun of taming properly, instead of just taming in a tamed mantis.
Does the veggie cake apply to Ovis too? If so... mwaaahaaa haaa! I only ever pumped the Achatina's points into food and weight so they could hold more Organic Poly. Soo.... I guess the food points will start going to speed, to have snail races! :D

The pachyrino could actually be a viable support creature for bosses.
I definitely need to implement this mod to my ark gameplay, especially the araneo and the pachy......

I tamed an araneo years ago. So excited to have a spider... just to realize I would never use it! So, now you can easily use them to tame anything near a wall, since you can use weapons from back. Might make Ichthyornis easier to cope with too.
if i apply this mod to my singleplayer, which ive already made a lot of progress on, do i need to use destroywilddinos so that the better dinos spawn? will it also affect my tames?
Your tames will be vanilla. You can hold E on those tames and go to options and convert them to the KBD version. You can also change them back that way too. For wild dinos, you'll need to do a dino wipe

I need to know do Trilobites passively produce black pearls by using this mod?
In my experience, very very rarely. Taming the sea lobsters is a better bet if thats what you are looking for
@@HarvsCornerto clarify I'm asking if the tamed Trilobites passively generate black pearls. I think there is an issue with spawns on my single player game because I went out before and after turning on the mod and couldn't find a single angler fish. And yes I did a destroy wild dinos command. I did find and kill 4 Ammonites but only got 4 BPs from them. Farming for Black Pearls on the Island map sucks. I'm not willing to transfer my character to other maps where they are easier to find for just that one resource
@@ecobasetech4558 Understood. Trilobites i believe passively produce them, just very very rarely. The Eury's passively produce black pearls once tamed. Also, i believe Coel fish produce a lot of random resources when tamed as well. Black Pearls might be on the list
@@HarvsCorner the coel fish too huh? OK, I can test that out. I heard or read somewhere that Otters even without the mod can sometimes get black pearls from killing fish, so maybe that's where the coel fish come in too. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding otters too. Though I have not looked since the last Dino wipe. Anyway, thanks for the tips.
@@HarvsCorner Well unfortunately, I have to stop using this mod. It's just my luck that I would find a bug like this. But basically, there are certain dinos that won't imprint properly while using the S+ Nanny. Specifially the Megatherium and the Thylacoleo. I had bread a single pair of each and normally every few percent of maturation, the imprinting process will catch up to the maturation percentage. But it wasn't happening. One of them had reached about 17% maturation and the other a little less than 30% and they were still both at 0% imprinting. I could have waited to see if the imprint would have been applied at the end but didn't want to take the chance. So I exited the game, turned off the mod went back in, uncryo'd the dinos and the imprint caught up to the maturation rate after a minute or 2. Anyone else have this happen?

we jumped on a server with it last night i tamed a stego this morning cos it was the only plus 100 i could find and it surprised me we normal steer clear of stegos cos there normal slow and pretty much useless compere to the trike this fill better than the normal trike can not wait to try a bd trike lol

Do mods like this interfere with mods like Extinctions core or Ark Additions?
I dont think so no, the problem is that they would only effect the vanilla dinos and not the added ones

Crazy cool also u rly should put chapters of the group of items or the dino u review for the viewers as we wouldnt want to just watch 33 minutes to remember 1 dino

Did you find size 1.3 hyenaedons, you can ride them but i didn't find any
They are super rare but yes i have found them. What i havent tested is breeding them to see if its possible to get them that way

@@haeuth684 I typically found them in the mountains around Green OB and a few here and there in the desert.
Harv's Corner by the way when breeding them you get a random size, i even got twins with different sizes, i didn't get size 1.3 yet but i'm going to try to get it later

Take a look into the Ark forums as well as the steam forums. Usually people will advertise their servers and lists the mods they are using.

ark content creators need to start scripting their videos and stop this "lets stare at my character for 5 minutes" before getting into the video.
Being a new content creator and learning how to edit video/audio as I go with no previous experience doing it can be daunting already. Sorry for the frustration but I'm learning.
@@HarvsCorner nah my bad for lashin out at you. Its just frustrating to see so many channels fo the same thing everyone else does in terms of how the video flows. And that camera focused on the ark character is terrible for getting any meaningful content out of. My bad you are new though.
