*Gold pulls out his first Pokéball ready to battle*
This is no ordinary battle against a normal trainer, you are fighting a champion, no... *A legend*
So the question remains, *Are you ready?* Because *RED WANTS TO BATTLE!*
Red is so badass that with those "...", with *that* only he meant everything of your whole comment, epic and dramatic. He is as chill as fuck, the coolest ever.
In Masters, he says this: "Words are unnecessary"

I like how it goes back and forth between them. It's almost like the themes are having a battle too.
Strange how just the addition of the Gen 2 *Ding* ! for when an opponent slides into position across from your character, suddenly makes the song go from intense to "Game's gotten *REAL* intense".
Honestly, the fact the composers made them in the same key and rhythm so mashups like this could exist is a really nice touch
It makes sense because HGSS is a remake of Gold and Silver so the new OST has to be close to the original
I doubt they did this for the sake of mashups. They just keep the same key and rhythm because its a remake of an old song and they want to stay true to the old theme.
@@KjSucksAtGames Maybe also because of the GB Sounds item which changes the music from the DS to the original Gameboy versions which if the music changes during gameplay it should be at the same tempo.
The instruments surronding the Bits makes it sound like it was reborn.

This is by far, my favorite champion theme.
but the mashup makes it even better.
this right here... i duno why but it hits me so hard to the point of wanting to cry from nostgia. i remember being 5 years old and talking about pokemon and evolutions like it was really important to know, or how to reach ericas gym like it was an important secret, or sabrinas gym like that was a secret treasure (pokemon yellow) and hearing the perfect mix of what is an amazing modern theme of trainer red, blended nicely with the classic... it just makes it all feel like pokemon has changed so much, but it still has always kept to core the same things, basically only adding to it.
Despite the title stating that this is a mashup of only the Johto versions, you decided to add in the BW2 version near the end? You clever and sneaky bastard. I love you so much(no homo).

I like red more than lance tbh. I mean come on, Look at him. He's the chillest character. While lance talks about how invincible his dragons are, red is over here like: "...." *Throws out Charizard* and GG. Truly the best trainer in my book.

Some parts of Red's theme sound as if they are underscore, unusually quiet. This is part of the reason of why this is so good; the themes just complement eachother.

Man memories. Friend always bragged he was better a pokemon. Took him around 50 tries and 60 hours of level grinding to win. It took me 3 battles to win. He is till salty to this day.
