Bought my white on white one, a 2011 with 23,000miles on it!!!! A year later and NOTHING has gone wrong - needed tyres but they arent bad prices and had it up to 164mph on the German autobahn with ease....will be keeping this forever. Now want to add a LC500 to the collection....
Thank you for such a thorough, in-depth review! I'm currently looking at 08 F. This kind of description is exactly what I was looking for! BTW the initial sight of two child seats helps my confidence, as I will also be hauling two youngins. Cheers
I have a six and a half year old girl and a 5 yr old son and they fit. Not well but well enough to go to dinner and movies. They always like taking my car. We always make "big turns"lol and they love the exhaust
I just recently bought my best friends 2013 ISF in ultrasonic blue it has Hayward and Scott exhaust. I love the car so far I’ve had it for about a month. I’m out of Sacramento. Some things I don’t like about it is the driver seating position. I wish they gave you an option to lower the seat but I think they wanted to keep you up high to see over the front end of the car I just wish they gave you that option. I just recently changed the engine oil and transmission and differential. I use the Penzoil ultra platinum for the engine oil and then I used the Toyota WS fluid, which I think you can get for much cheaper through rock auto. With the Aisan brand. For the differential I used redline 75-90 the car has 64,000 miles and I don’t think the differential was ever been changed and the transmission fluid differential wasn’t too bad really transmission fluid was a little darker than I like to see but I’m anal on service enroll on my other car….
Carlos Castañeda How's it holding up for you so far? I hear the 08 models have the most issues and the ride is harsher, but they're the only models you can find for good mileage and price.
Jon S this car ages insanely well. 42k miles and 21 track days now and all I have ever had to do is tighten the driver's seat because it was squeaking lols God bless lexus engineers
Thank you for this review! I've been wondering what will come after my STi and the IS-F is a strong contender. Really appreciate your comprehensive collection of thoughts and warnings!
xwray1 thanks so much buddy ! I really appreciate the feedback. It's a great car! Very very strong, reliable, and the service experience is on another level. I just came back from Nevada for my 20th track day and track day 21 has been scheduled !
i have a ISF with 130k miles on it and the only major thing i had to replace was the starter which was quite expensive $2600 at the dealership and brake and rotor replacement for a little over 2grand but other then that its a great daily driver little bumpy but its fun oh and save money for tires need to replace them almost every year
Calvin Madden yeah. The tires go like crazy. I met an ex owner at Spring Mountain Raceway and when I asked why he sold his F he said he was tired of the new tires every year.i don't mind. I'm used to it lol
I see that a lot of owners are swapping the old two-gauge cluster for the newer one-gauge cluster but I also like the older one a lot more. In the LFA and the newer IS-s, the digital mono-gauge looks pretty neat but the analog one they put in the ISF just seemed empty and... cheap.
I have a wrx too and was looking to getting a V8 car I've always liked the ISF but, I'm not convinced by the 8 speed auto I really enjoy driving a manual transmission a lot, I'm looking for either an STI or a V8 sedan did you end up getting the ISF?
Recalls aren't bad.. IT's a company keeping their cars up to date after release. Some company can not recall unless it's only safety stuff, and they look more reliable but they're really not. Hard to test like having 100k of the cars driving around.
im looking at one is f with 130000 miles, and m5 e60 with 60000 miles.Which one?Im kinda hesitant about m5 bc of unreliability but lexus has some miles on it as well.
Hey bud, was wondering if you can also help me out aswell, I’m currently looking into getting an 08 ISF with like 70kish miles.. anything major I should be looking at specifically. Thanks
Hey brotha, the only ones I can find at a decent mileage and price are 08 models. Would you ever consider buying a 08, cause I've heard 10 and up are the ones to go for.
Jon S 08s are still amazing especially if your not going to track the car. Make sure interior checks out and there's no leaks and you are good. Let me know if you have any questions. The 10s and up have the LSD . 10 also has infotainment upgrade. Not the end of the world if your not gonna track and you don't mind using an iPod wire
Has anybody ever had rattling issue with the ISFs? I went over weekend to try once, and damn on the inner streets it was terrible, it was worse then Camaros, and I am really shocked that lexus would have that build quality, if not that particular one.
Like most factory tuned cars they are based on lower end models. It can buzz if there is an exhaust and it’s super cold. I had a light buzzing from my driver door panel. I live in AZ so it is never cold and we have glass smooth roads
Yeah I’ve had my 2011 ISF for a month and the cluster rattled really bad especially in cold weather. The solution? Took everything apart and put felt in the area. Problem = Solved.

This was an outstanding video. There was a lot of good information here. Thanks bud.
John Vu thanks so much ! Means a lot

Feel the genuine review, cheers👍
I got a 2010 ISF too, great review. Buy it while you can. It's like a Supra but better.
Arnak Danielian yes sir !!
Currently in the market for an IS-F you video was a huge help thanks a lot man. Keep up the great content!!

Love the isf I have a 2008 oil change $90 it's because of ten quarts of oil.
Carlos Castañeda How's it holding up for you so far? I hear the 08 models have the most issues and the ride is harsher, but they're the only models you can find for good mileage and price.
Love it so far . It's a fun car to drive. Hard to not get on it 60000 miles . Time to get spark plugs changed. Keep up the great vids🚙👍🏼
Jon S It does ride rough when the roads are bad.
Jon S 08-10 have the harsher ride but I don't mind at all.
Jon S this car ages insanely well. 42k miles and 21 track days now and all I have ever had to do is tighten the driver's seat because it was squeaking lols God bless lexus engineers

Calvin Madden yeah. The tires go like crazy. I met an ex owner at Spring Mountain Raceway and when I asked why he sold his F he said he was tired of the new tires every year.i don't mind. I'm used to it lol
I8ABMR yeah i really dont mind its worth it
Replaced a starter for $2600.00 noooo way.
Starter should be 400.
Oil change cost 217 at Lexus in fort worth TX.
Thanks for the information man! I’ll be 19 when I get mine own

So basically, i should just basically buy an ISF....basically
Good information. Thank you.
I want to get an ISF but not sure if I am willing to let go of my manual 2015 WRX. I make videos on it too so cheers!! Keep it up :)
Jesse Fung thanks bud! Will check it out !
let's see some interior exterior shots!
Lol I had a 2015 wrx 6speed. I sold it and got a 12 ISF. Best decisions ever. Insurance was about 30% cheaper on the ISF than the WRX! lol
I have a wrx too and was looking to getting a V8 car I've always liked the ISF but, I'm not convinced by the 8 speed auto I really enjoy driving a manual transmission a lot, I'm looking for either an STI or a V8 sedan did you end up getting the ISF?
Keep the WRX! Subarus are fun to drive.
I looked at one today. I'm on the fence. Your suspension looks like its beating you up.
08-10 have the harder suspension. 2011 and up use different spring and damp rates
Did you buy one? I hope so

You Used an LS460 at the track? very interested to know how that went? and mods you did?
My ISF is $89 bucks at the dealer. NO sales tax.
you can get good mpg if you put your car in snow mode, thats how people do it.
Right on !!
Twin gauges are best. I love mine.
Love the vids I also have a matador red mica isf :)
Best color !
hi man! is the Lexus IS F "v8" a good daily driver? good reliablility and so on? :)
2013 ISF here. Car is very strong and built very well.
Very good reliability but just make sure the valley plate is not leaking and water pump is good
im looking at one is f with 130000 miles, and m5 e60 with 60000 miles.Which one?Im kinda hesitant about m5 bc of unreliability but lexus has some miles on it as well.
I'm on the fence the 15-16 mpg is my biggest issue
You can drive it easy
What fun would that be 😆
Would you recommend buying a high mile 08 ISF?
Yes! They are very solid. How high ?
@@the_track_enthusiast 143k miles, they want 15k for it. What do you think? any advice, Thanks

this vd is unwatchable, i had to mute it and watch the subtitles and thats annoy af
@@the_track_enthusiast why so tilted?

Said the word “basically” about 1000 times.... lol Good vid tho.
Basically ! 😂🤷🏽♂️
Could barely hear you over the drone
Yes, I also thought the exhaust was load and the car was maybe in the wrong gear.
Take a shot every time he says "basically" and trust me you will be drunk in less than 5 minutes
Basically
yo tammer
cody bersick hey 👋🏽 buddy
This is good stuff bro!!!! Keep it coming!!!
