Dark. *Yeah grave clobber was just because of necessity. *Pit boss is undead for the exact same reason as rattle shake. However pit boss is also a necromancer in universe, which makes him absolutely of the undead element. Also none of it really matters, considering we were going to get metal mage as an air Skylander.
Wow! Roller Brawl is my favorite Skylanders of all time, but I never know that she's a vampire. O_O But now that I see her teeths in her design, now that's makes sense. I wonder if she mentionned that she's a vampire in Skylanders Academy (the TV Show on Netflix). I never watched the show but I know that almost all Skylanders are present.
Blast zone is not a robot. It is specifically stated that he is a furnace knight, which is a specific race. It’s like saying ignitor is a robot, When neither of them are. They are fire spirits inhabiting suits of armor
Even without that, the 'double standard' of him saying Blast Zone uses fire but looks like tech, while Roller Brawl uses roller blades but looks like undead, one after the other is wild. Like, if looks matter enough to change a brawler's type, then Roller Brawl is fine. Otherwise Blast Zone is fine and Roller Brawl isn't.
Man, why are you like 'Golden Queen: Yeah, her design might be gold, which'd make her earth element, but she uses light attacks! She should've been light element!' 'Blaster Tron: Yeah, it might use lasers as attacks, which'd make it light element, but it's design is a robot! It should've been tech element!' Like dude, make up your mind also as a side note, you found the colour scheme for Blaster Tron weird for a light element while you're constantly complaining that skylanders are just an element because they use that element primairy colour scheme
Not to diss on him but the double-standard is really showing Masker Mind is exteemely pink, yet he complains he isn't Magic Wallop is brown, yet he says he could be any element if colored differently Either apply the logic to all or apply it to no one
absolutely bro like i don’t wanna hate fr but like the takes he gave were js so stupid like countdown and especially blast zone🤦🏾♂️(not too mention roller brawl, and pit boss, and a lot of others😭)
For Krypt King while his floating sword totally gives magic vibes, locust swarms are associated with famine and death in Egyptian mythology so I think that edges him over to the undead element a bit more.
I swear to god... ROLLER BRAWL IS A VAMPIRE!!!! SHE IS THE SAME SPECIES AS NIGHT SHIFT!!!!! IF YOU TOOK OUT NIGHT SHIFTS BITE ATTACK YOU COULD GIVE HIM PRACTICALLY THE SAME REASONING AS ROLLER BRAWL!!!!!
Hello, Artist and character designer here (just in general, not for any official Skylanders games)! I think the elements of the Skylanders are less based around a single idea of "earth powers" or "water powers", and more based around all-around vibes and more general themes for each element. - MAGIC: Pretty self explanatory, Magic is based around the idea of arcane power as a whole, with elements of Space, Time, Wishes, Shamanistic practice, and other broadly "magical" powers such as Splat's ink. - EARTH: Most of the Earth element's core traits come from things you would usually find within the earth. Rocks (obviously), crystals and Minerals, fossils and dinosaurs, and ancient civilizations. Golden Queen could be earth simply due to her thematic ties to Ancient Egypt. There also seems to be a general theme of Strength in the earth element, which could explain why Wallop and Head Rush are here. - WATER: Water is one of the more simple elements of Skylanders, mostly just being Skylanders who are thematically tied to water and other forms of H2O. Things like The Ocean, Freshwater like rivers and lakes, Ice, and in Lob Star's case, Steam. Grave Clobber being here could be a reference not just to his lore, but also to the idea of a desert Oasis. - FIRE: another simple element, Fire is thematically based around heat, be it actual fire, lava, explosions, molten metal, and other such things. as to why Blast Zone is here, Well... - TECH: Tech has an overall theme of invention, machinery, and more high-tech weaponry. And yes, while it would make sense for all the robot characters to go into Tech, it would greatly hinder the freedom of design for their characters, as they'd have to have a reason as to why this robot wields water hoses as weapons, or this one has fire coming out of it. Not to mention, there would be way too many Skylanders in this element if all the robots were in tech. Also, while Countdown could theoretically fit into fire, Thematically he's a lot more of a mechanical construct and a lot less of a pyrotechnic himself. In other words, he wouldn't use bombs if he wasn't built that way. - UNDEAD: Undead is the catch-all Horror/Paranormal/Death element, so a lot of Skylanders end up in this element on concept alone. Classic monsters like Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts and Witches, as well as general Ghostly magic in the case of Hex. If I recall, Roller Brawl is a Vampire, and as for Pit Boss, Pit Vipers are deadly venomous, and venomous snakes as a whole are deadly, and pretty scary to some folks, wouldn't you agree? - AIR: the air element is often associated with the sky, which explains why there are so many Skylanders with electric powers in this element instead of Tech. We got wind, flying creatures like birds, different aircrafts, clouds, storms, rainbows, etc. Most Skylanders in this element basically share a general theme of Air magic and/or Flying. - LIFE: Honestly, I gotta give it to the Skylanders Devs for naming this element Life instead of plant, grass or wood, because Life is exactly the kind of broad term that Skylanders elements are supposed to be. we got all kinds of Life in this element! Plants, Trees, Fungi, Animals, Fruits and Vegetables, and even some like Stealth Elf who share more of a symbolism with life than just an elemental similarity. - LIGHT & DARK: Putting these two together because they're basically two of a pair, both in design and in function. Light and Dark are design around each other in a common theme of Duality. Bright Lights Vs Dark Shadows, Day time vs. Night time, Etc. in fact, that last one could be what Starcast is supposed to be, as his cosmic body does closely resemble the night sky. All in all, I believe Activision & Toys for Bob had a solid grasp of what Skylanders they made in each element and why. And honestly, I think they did a pretty good job! As for Skylanders that changed elements, that's something I'm interested to see, just as a storytelling experiment if nothing else! In conclusion, It's not about filling a check box of "elemental magic" but more towards a central Theme of each Skylander's respective element. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk, and enjoy the rest of your day! ^_^
> Clickbait Thumbnail > All of His Points are due to Lack of Research Yep, this guy's a fake fan WAIT, HOW DOES HE HAVE MORE LIKES THAN DISLIKES?!?!?!?
for Stealth Elf elves for the longest time, in fairy tales, legends, mythology, have been closely connected to nature and forests and for Spyro I don't think it's a case of him being purple, rather that he has been in previous games, where in the classic Spyro games and the Legends games, purple dragons were always described as the rarest and most magical of all dragon species also, Roller Brawl she's a vampire, and Undead is not always abotu the undead, it's just about general spooky stuff
Also, Krypt King is associated with locusts, commonly seen with the dead. Blast Zone is a dude on fire like Ignitor. Countdown is a bomb construct, obviously he’ll be tech. Flashwing was made before Light was even a thing and she has crystals like Prism Break. Wallop as well has his hammers physically cause fisures in the ground. Chomp Chest… dude… buried treasure. Golden Queen is literally golden, she has a Midas touch ability, light =/= Light element. Blaster Tron is made out of Light. Tae Kwon Crow, NINJA HE IS A NINJA. Starcast comes from the stars and is literally supposed to be a being with light on him but he’s supposed to be dark, it’s in his name, he’s a star in the night sky.
Golden Queen's light attack isnt light at all, its her magic gold spell that turns people into gold, its the same attack the trapped version uses that turns people into gold. I dont think she fits light at all, like that would make no sense whatsoever. Krypt King's attacks are themes around death and famine, Blast Zone is NOT a robot, he is the same species as Ignitor. Not every robot has to be tech, Blastertron is perfect as a light skylander since he always had lazer attacks. Roller brawl is a vampire, you're argument can be used for night shift in the exact same way. These are the craziest takes i have ever seen
Flashwing: is earth because crystals are stones, which are rocks, which is earth. (light wouldn't be a thing for 2 games.) BlastZone: is not a robot he is a sentient suit of armor like ignitor, filled with elemental fire. Rollerbrawl: is a vampire. I don't need to elaborate. Countdown: is a sentient "Time Bomb" he isn't just explosive but the clockwork and mechanical parts that make a bomb function. thus Tech. I am going to just disregard anything you just said about TrapTeam entirely because that's not worth discussion period. Splat: is Magic because of her paints. (and no she is not a "Rip-off" of Splatoon, there is not relation between a goat with a paintbrush and squids with waterguns.) Blastertron: is a holographic AI from the far future. lasers and light go hand in hand. Golden Queen: isn't using light, she is petrifying enemies, turning them into solid gold. also gold is inherently a earthen metal, thus the earth element. Starcast: isn't just stars he is a vast void of space. thus Dark. Grave Clobber: isn't just water because undead and earth were taken for those villain spots, is you listen he has a surfer theme to his intro music and he lariat is of a Crocodile, a aquatic creature. it isn't because he is blue, as its far deeper if you bothered to understand what make each element unique. Pitboss: isn't just a normal ordinary snake, if anything he takes alot of inspirations from jormungandr, of norse mythology. the great world serpent sibling to Fenrir and Hel. a better video would have been to look at relations and inspirations that skylanders have with real life or fantasy or even pop culture. but this. . . . This ain't it chief.
The only ones I disagree with are Graveclobber and Pitboss(because of reasoning), he was originally an Earth villain and it made sense because he was Egyptian themed, he was a mummy it never made sense that he was now all of a sudden water Skylander. And let's be honest you were pulling straws to find a reason. And Pitboss is a necromancer, and you're pretty knowledgeable when it comes to mythology and Skylanders so I don't feel the need to explain
2:45 Boomer has explosives, your argument for Countdown is invalid 3:25 Wrong. He is living armor with fire. And we’ve seen that same thing with Ignitor!
Golden Queen: I know she’s made of gold, but she should be light element because some of her attacks are light! Blastertron: I know he uses light based attacks, but he should be tech element because he’s a robot! Logic.
Here is a break down of every character I disagree with. Blast zone isn't even a robot, he is a knight with armour. Roller Brawl is a vampire. Masker Mind fits undead, it's just like with other characters that if you switch their colors they fit that element, if Masker mind was grey it they would look more undead. Golden Queen fits earth so well, your only reasoning for the light element here is she has attacks that use light. You made the light point with Flashwing but she only had a single attack with light. Not to mention your reasoning for Golden Queen being light is a single attack she used in a cutscene. Splat does have magic vibes and I believe her paint is magical. For Starcast dark is the closest fitting thing to space. For Blaster Tron doesn't mean every robot has to be tech, I mean you said yourself with Countdown about how he doesn't fit tech, but he is a robot. I do agree with Grave Clobber, his backstory started to be more about water so they could add him in, but they couldn't keep him earth to keep the one villain one element thing going. As much as I love him they should have added a actual water villain over him. Finally Stealth Self, her back story.
Countdown is not a robot, he's a bomb. Blast Zone use bombs to attack and he's Fire, but the bomb himself isn't Fire which is weird to me. EDIT: I forgot about Boomer who uses Dynamite, and is also Tech like Countdown.
Bro 90% of these is just saying it dosnt fit its element and not giving an alternative like they did the best ones also you don't agnolge lore for a bunch of these but you do for golden queen in the cuteness thats just stupid also you said twice a skylander should be light if it has a bunch of lasers for golden queen that should undermine the much more fitting one for her design that being earth so by that logic blaster tron fits light perfectly and golden queen turns enemies to gold how is that not earth over all you constant undermined youre own points and other times was just saying stuff to be contravesl
I feel a big one you missed is swarm, like he’s a bee so I can understand him flying being an air thing but that’s kind of it, bees would fit way more into the life element.
Ever since a few months ago, I realized that Wolfgang doesn't fit the Undead Element at all to me. I get it, he has a BONE harp and BONES coming out of his back, but when you think of werewolves, what's the first thing that comes to mind? For me, it's the full moon thing, so I think Wolfgang should have been a Dark Skylander while Hood Sickle remained Undead.
Blaster-Tron makes sense to be light element because he’s from the future and is mainly powered up by light, tech does exist in future skylanders but I can totally see why he’s light
Yeah and iirc she has a health steal ability, sure it’s a headbutt and not a bite like night shift, but her moveset _does_ incorporate a vampire ability at the end of the day
Yes, the Trap Team villains make the least sense in their elements, brawlrus technology when it should be water and bomb shell magic when it should be fire.
already I think this video missed the point of the elements entirely, also Spyro is Magic because Magic is actually the default element, and if you bothered to play the actual Spyro games you'd understand why he is magic instead of fire. this video boils down to nit picks and one sided opinions.
Funny how you put flashwing on the list and not prism break, i don’t think either of them should be though since even though they use light, crystals are just as much earth as stones are
On top of Krypt King having just the design aspects of an undead Skylander, being an Arkeyan, he is also in lore essentially a corpse. He is an outside spirit who is inhabiting an Arkeyan body, technically just referred to as a suit of armor but it also has the bones other Arkeyans do and is infested with bugs so either the body is dead or something inside of it is dead. Either way, both the spirit and something about the body are dead themselves, making them a primary prospect for the undead element
Dreamcatchers were named dreamcatchers, because it used to be thought that the wind carried dreams both good and bad, so they would let the good dreams blow through them, but stop the bad dreams.
6:23 I feel like it’s life because of the Shredder part, like cutting down trees, & I absolutely forgot Shrednaught wasn’t life, but if it was I think it would make a bit more sense
Just to know why Krypt king is undead is actually obvious by his pharaoh like design is in as he an undead pharaoh like character as it makes sense why he an undead element to me anyway.
Dark Spyro being a Dark Element in Ring of Heroes fit him more than being a Magic Element in the mainline games. I understand that they couldn't change his element appropriately once the Light and Dark elements were introduced because his toy is hardcoded to be the Magic element in order to maintain compatibility with prior games.
- Krypt King's swarm are a reference to the plague of locusts that swept over Egypt in the bible. They're also not explicitly stated to be bees anywhere as far as I can find, so hell they might even be locusts anyway. - If Wallop was Life he'd be treading on Stump Smash's toes, and there's nothing to say he was designed then assigned an element, they may have been wanting an Earth trap master and thought of a hammer man. - Sand is part of the Earth element and Egypt is pretty sandy. Also the devs may have wanted players to be able to capture/use GQ from the get-go without having to wait for the Light and Dark elements to be revealed - Again the assumption that the dev team arbitrarily assigned elements to Skylanders instead of designing Skylanders with specific elements/roles in mind. Sounds like you just don't like Splat - By that same logic Star Strike should be Light or Starcast should be Magic - "Why is he water? It's because of his backstory" you just answered your own question my guy
I'd like to point out a skylander that stands out to me for being an element that doesn't necessary fit, that being Hood sickle in imaginators. He very obviously has a lot of grim reaper inspiration, in fact, I'm not sure how good of a source this is, but Hood sickles species is even listed as a reaper on the skylanders wiki. So much is pointing him to the undead element, which he is in trap team, and yet in imaginators he's a dark element. While not game breaking to me, it certainly stands out way more than many of the skylanders discussed here.
Blast Zone isn't a robot; he's a walking/flying oven known as a furnace knight. It would be a good idea to check the characters backstories before making claims like that 😂 And for Krypt King, he's a spirit of a knight that possessed an Arkeyan suit of armor. His floating sword is known as the haunted sword (as per the upgrade menu), so it's not just a floating sword. If floating and being see-through/incorporeal means it should be magic, then Ghost Roaster should be magic, too. Also, they aren't bees, they're "undead insects" lol
Also, saying Golden Queen should be Light because she uses light-based attacks even though she's made of gold is the exact opposite of saying that Blastertron should be Tech because he's a robot even though he uses light-based attacks...
Video idea: picking a new element for each skylander and giving them 0, 1, 2, or 3 stars based on how well they fit, such as moving Spyro to Fire or moving Flashwing to Light, etc
Going back to stealth elf, Flameslinger is also the same elf race as stealth elf, meaning that the colour didn’t really matter for the chosen element. Now she could be life element, because ninjas use their sarrounds to hide themselves in plain sight. Well that’s my guess anyway.
I feel like the one that I mostly agree with here is Flash Wing since they feel mych more Light related but Ground also works too as well cause of the crystal deal but the rest idk how to feel for them-
Rollerbrawl is a vampire and comes from the underworld. Hance her undead element. As for Flashwing, i disagree. Just because there are no rock related attack/effects doesn't mean she doesn't fit. Crystals reflect light, but earth has its own energy aswell. It's kinda like Prism Break and Crusher. They also use crystals and light based attacks. Aswell as some Skylanders from the Magic using flashy light attacks. Golden Queen, gold is a mineral hance her earh element. Having attacks similat to that of an other element, doesn't mean that the elemental enegy is the same. Look at all the skylanders using electrical attacks. All arcross the elements. And the reasons you give for one is then counterd by what you say about another one. Although i see where you are comming from, it feels like you make some big jumps???
the only skylanders i think are out of their element are the villains and returning villains from trap team, but these actually do have a reason. for the regular villains it was intended that there would be an even number of villains for each element, but villains also have to fit the level theme or else they will feel out of place. that's why some of the villikins have weird elements, they were designed with willikin workshop in mind but couldn't all be put in life or earth or else the elements would be thrown off balance. in the case of the returning villains, since there was supposed to be 10 villains, each having a battleclass and element no other returning villain had, they couldn't have someone like grave clobber be in the earth element when it was already taken. that's why villains had element swaps, it was just so they could fit evenly alongside other villains. EDIT: the reason regular skylanders don't have this problem is because they didn't need to be designed with a specific level in mind, they could just pick an element and design a skylander who would fit it
Roller brawl could have been light because the speed of light is a thing and she is fast. Also golden queen could have been magic. Like dude, her main weapon is a staff wand thing that she use’s to spawn minions
I thought it was interesting that if Pit Boss got mentioned as not being very "Undead", that the same argument wasn't also applied to Rattle Shake. Also this is an obvious one but Trap Shadow makes sense for Dark, even though it wasn't out yet (since the Flashwing/light element thing was mentioned). Also I've realised that bees are in a few Skylanders' attacks aside from Krypt King's and they're in a few different elements (if I remember correctly, Hot Dog, Swarm and Bumble Blast all also have bees in their attacks).
7:00 His 2 moves are digging and metal, detecting the ground. And he's a treasure chest, something people Bury underground. Why wouldn't he be an Earth element?🤨
For flashwing earth makes sense cause her body made of crystal which they grow underground. That’s Reason she’s earth. Remember a crystal is a mineral of earth
Imagine if they introduce the concept of Skylanders with two or three elements together, Blastertron would definitely have BOTH light & tech elements, whilst those Crosscrow should just stick to air, and if they’ve introduced dark & light in the first Skylanders game, Stealth Elf would be perfect on having the dark element!!!
To be fair with blaster tron, astro blast in superchargers showed that not only do radiant, heavenly light constitutes for a light type, but the future, laser beams and space is also good for liht type, so i think blaster tron gets a pass.
With krypt king, he does fit undead since with the sword, I think the description words it so he possesses the sword, and locusts are supposed to represent famine and death which also leads back to undead (not sure about the first one I haven't played skylanders in years)
I found this really interesting and agree with a lot of the Skylanders brought up. But why was Rattle Shake left out with Pitboss being included? Rattle Shake is the same thing as Pitboss with only a few moves that fit undead.
@@axelnilsson5124 2 points 1 the original Skylanders game is called spyros adventure and was named that specifically so that they'd have long time Spyro fans coming to check it out early Skylanders was a gamble because there wasnt a presedent for the toys to life genre so they had to have something to guarantee cash flow 2 if you look at his character bio in swap force or the collection books it says he is as well
Yeah krypt kings move set is based not on his element but what he is he’s a pharaoh he has magic powers to control his dead sword and has the bees as well to represent a pharaohs curse
You could say the same thing for headrush you did for wallop, although I’ve never read they’re backstories so there could be something missing that could link them to the earth element.
I really would love new game where there are skylander that swap most skylanders elemental alignment. It would be fun to have a new kit as a version of Whirlwind that is Fire Element, or a Wrecking ball that is Undead(Wrecking Skull lol)
Gotta disagree for Blast Zone, he's not a robot but like a suit of armor possessed by a fire spirit, works perfectly as is and personally I think Dreamcatcher should have been Magic not Air.
1. Stealth elf is in life because elf’s in any mythology or game they are in very nature attuned. 2. It’s a magic dragon, dragons breathe fire. 3. The crystals (which are rocks) she has on her body are what Makes her rock(stone whatever) element. 4.count down in the body, not the bomb. Because he can move without the head. 5. Blast zone is just fire in armor. Why would he be tech 6.roller brawl. Could be any element. 7.krypt king is biased of a mummy. His abilities are biased(from what i😂can tell) of the biblical bug swarm. It’s not bees. The sword is another thing. 8.wallop seems to be biased off of some type of underground bug. Some type of beetle, because of his head crest 9. Cross crow. Yeah 10. Shield shredder. Yeah 11. Masker mind. Necromancy is death magic 12. Chimo chest . Yeah 11. Tussle. Yeah 13. Golden queen gold. Ones from the ground. And Isn’t her stuff biased off of king mitas 14.yeah, idk why dark element 15. Yeah Supper chargers 16. Its magic is because she summons paint. To use 17. Blaster tron is a robot. But then to many mechs would be tec.
What about Lob Star, He has basically the Same Story as Krypt King, where Lob Star's Design Fits the Water Element but his Moveset I feel Like Fits the Fire Element more than Water
Blast zone is not a robot, wdym? It's ignitor on crack, a fire soul that doesnt leave the metal armor (Besides, fire ring, fire trail, blazing bomb, fire dash, the one thing that he is other than fire is not tech, it's overpowered)
The fact that he ignores so many skylanders with the EXACT SAME CONCEPTS is wierd. Ignitor, Prism Break, and Rattle Shake are ignored, yet Blast Zone ,Flash Wing, and Pit Boss are brought up.
Explanations for everyone:
*Stealth Elf is an elf, and elves are always associated with nature. The reason why some of the other Skylanders elves aren't life is because they're dead.
*Spyro is of the magic element because in the first reboot of spyro, they made his main element Aether which is essentially magic. *As for flashwing, prison break also uses light themed attacks, but considering crystals are very clearly considered Earth in Skylanders, it makes sense. Also which means she's definitely earth.
*Countdown is a cyborg. He's half machine. You have a very high chance of being a tech character. Also, boomer exists.
*Blast zone is not a robot. He is in fact simply just armor possessed by a spirit made out of fire. He's a specific race of skylanders.
*Rollerbrawl is a vampire. Vampires are undead.

*Wallop is based on animals that burrow. He's also known to do stonemasonry.
*Cross Crow and shield Shredder were mainly just made that because of necessity.
*Masker mind is a necromancer. The wizardry art of commanding the dead, bringing the dead back to life, and absorbing this souls of the dead. Not in that order.
*Buried treasure.
*Chompies were originally of the Earth element, and tussle sprout is a root vegetable.
*Golden Queen is earth because she was originally designed as a Golem, and she was redesigned before they had decided to make light and dark. They kept her that way as a reference. Her main Power is petrification which is absolutely an Earth spell.
*He's supposedly the meanest of the evilikins. That is his official reasoning.
*As for splat I'm pretty sure magic is the element used for Skylanders that don't fit any other element. Also her paint is specifically stated to be magic.
*Blaster Tron is of the light element it's because he was originally a built as a disco robot, what was repurposed and made into an evil robot that shoots light beams. He also fires off neon lasers, and is powered by light.
*He's based on the night sky. The night sky. Dark.
*Yeah grave clobber was just because of necessity.
*Pit boss is undead for the exact same reason as rattle shake. However pit boss is also a necromancer in universe, which makes him absolutely of the undead element.
Also none of it really matters, considering we were going to get metal mage as an air Skylander.
very good explanations
THANK YOU, I was going to say the exact same thing
Don't forget there's a green elf skylander that's fire
@@shadefelblade he doesn't count because he makes sense why he's fire element. He doesn't really need an explanation.
Wow! Roller Brawl is my favorite Skylanders of all time, but I never know that she's a vampire. O_O
But now that I see her teeths in her design, now that's makes sense.
I wonder if she mentionned that she's a vampire in Skylanders Academy (the TV Show on Netflix).

Blast zone is not a robot. It is specifically stated that he is a furnace knight, which is a specific race. It’s like saying ignitor is a robot, When neither of them are. They are fire spirits inhabiting suits of armor
exactly
Yeah, I mean one of his attacks is literally the fire spirit coming out of the suit
Man, why are you like
'Golden Queen: Yeah, her design might be gold, which'd make her earth element, but she uses light attacks! She should've been light element!'
'Blaster Tron: Yeah, it might use lasers as attacks, which'd make it light element, but it's design is a robot! It should've been tech element!'
Like dude, make up your mind
also as a side note, you found the colour scheme for Blaster Tron weird for a light element while you're constantly complaining that skylanders are just an element because they use that element primairy colour scheme
Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought that was dumb 😭
This is the guy who said nightshade should be a magic brawler, I don’t think he has the best grasp of the elements
Not to diss on him but the double-standard is really showing
Masker Mind is exteemely pink, yet he complains he isn't Magic
Wallop is brown, yet he says he could be any element if colored differently
Either apply the logic to all or apply it to no one

absolutely bro like i don’t wanna hate fr but like the takes he gave were js so stupid like countdown and especially blast zone🤦🏾♂️(not too mention roller brawl, and pit boss, and a lot of others😭)
For Krypt King while his floating sword totally gives magic vibes, locust swarms are associated with famine and death in Egyptian mythology so I think that edges him over to the undead element a bit more.
When is your next video?
Egyptian culture history lesson with krypt krusher
dude studied Egyptian culture to learn about his favorite skylander, gotta respect that
Yeah and the sword ability is undead too, haunting objects, posession etc.
yooo i found you in another comment also i love history so really nice of you to write this
I'm gonna disagree about blast zone here. He's not a robot he's more like a suit of armor that's on fire kind of like Ignitor.
Had the exact same thought
He's a knight
That's his description
Not a robot
His description start with "young fire knight"
He is a KNIGHT, not a robot
I thought Blast Zone was like the Fire Gear Golems just smaller
No he isn't the armor he's the fire spirt inside the armor, (like you pointed out) just like ignitor because they're from the same race
I think chomp chest is earth because of buried treasure

Not just that, iirc roller brawl has a health steal ability just like night shift lol, it’s just a headbutt instead of a bite

This was super informative my guy! 🙏😅
Thanks for the visit, and the nice explanation 👌🏿
This is great stuff for understanding the design philosophy. I’m definitely going to consider and maybe explore this “broader categories” idea.
Blast zone is also a fire spirit in a suit of armor, not a robot, so that contributes a lot to his fire element
cloud breaker not understanding skylanders' design an backstory
It feels like you agree with almost all of the elements but you needed more terrible takes for the video

Yep, this guy's a fake fan
WAIT, HOW DOES HE HAVE MORE LIKES THAN DISLIKES?!?!?!?
Agreed
Being labeled fake skylanders fan gotta be worse than banishment
@@conniefan123no it's the leakers saying that there's going to be a sequel
for Stealth Elf
elves for the longest time, in fairy tales, legends, mythology, have been closely connected to nature and forests
and for Spyro
I don't think it's a case of him being purple, rather that he has been in previous games, where in the classic Spyro games and the Legends games, purple dragons were always described as the rarest and most magical of all dragon species
also, Roller Brawl
she's a vampire, and Undead is not always abotu the undead, it's just about general spooky stuff
That, and vampires are dead bodies in mythology
Starcast comes from the stars and is literally supposed to be a being with light on him but he’s supposed to be dark, it’s in his name, he’s a star in the night sky.
plus Roller Brawl's Superchargers kit leans slightly more into her vampirism with the draining kiss move
(light wouldn't be a thing for 2 games.)
BlastZone: is not a robot he is a sentient suit of armor like ignitor, filled with elemental fire.
(and no she is not a "Rip-off" of Splatoon, there is not relation between a goat with a paintbrush and squids with waterguns.)
Blastertron: is a holographic AI from the far future. lasers and light go hand in hand.
Agreed with flashwing seems like someone does not understood how or where crystal come from lol
2:45 Boomer has explosives, your argument for Countdown is invalid
3:25 Wrong. He is living armor with fire. And we’ve seen that same thing with Ignitor!
He ain't the armor he's the fire spirt inside the armor like ignitor because they're from the same race
Possessed swords are a common thing, and the “bees” are SCARABS, which are associated with mummies. Roller Brawl is a vampire.
Golden Queen: I know she’s made of gold, but she should be light element because some of her attacks are light!
Blastertron: I know he uses light based attacks, but he should be tech element because he’s a robot!
Logic.
Those were not bees
Those were locusts

@@frostless9072si
This guy probably "but if it's associated with Egyptian culture, doesn't that make him Earth then?"
Locusts are also commonly associated with death and famine, something fitting undead quite well imo
Would not be surprised if this guy said that kaos is a dark element rather than the Kaos element
Blast Zone is not a robot, he is a fire spirit inside a knight's armor.
Blast Zone isn't a robot either
@@aurorawizard7045 yeah, Blast Zone is basically just a humanoid fire construct waring armour.
Isn't blast zone a furnace😅😅😅😅
Bro 90% of these is just saying it dosnt fit its element and not giving an alternative like they did the best ones also you don't agnolge lore for a bunch of these but you do for golden queen in the cuteness thats just stupid also you said twice a skylander should be light if it has a bunch of lasers for golden queen that should undermine the much more fitting one for her design that being earth so by that logic blaster tron fits light perfectly and golden queen turns enemies to gold how is that not earth over all you constant undermined youre own points and other times was just saying stuff to be contravesl
Seem like either they don’t read lore or have not Played the games right.
Spyro used to have all kinds of elemental attacks in his own games, i just wish they'd put them in the general skylander games
4:00 roller brawl is a vampire which is probably why she's undead
Yeah her whole design is definitely undead
@peabrain6872 yeah especially bone bash
Golden Queens design is based off Midas, the guy that touches stuff to turn them into gold
Blaster-Tron makes sense to be light element because he’s from the future and is mainly powered up by light, tech does exist in future skylanders but I can totally see why he’s light
I could have sworn Roller Brawl was a vampire…
Yeah and iirc she has a health steal ability, sure it’s a headbutt and not a bite like night shift, but her moveset _does_ incorporate a vampire ability at the end of the day
Yes, the Trap Team villains make the least sense in their elements, brawlrus technology when it should be water and bomb shell magic when it should be fire.
Wasn't Splat supposed to be dark, with her design to be more in line with ink from epic Mickey or Bendy and the ink machine.
She looked so much cooler too, would’ve rather had her as the dark skylander of that game
Chomp Chest Searches the Earth and Digs.
already I think this video missed the point of the elements entirely, also Spyro is Magic because Magic is actually the default element, and if you bothered to play the actual Spyro games you'd understand why he is magic instead of fire.
this video boils down to nit picks and one sided opinions.
I never knew that Krypt King was going to be the magic giant initially. The more you know 😌
you forgot dreamcatcher. her whole gimmick is stealing dreams that gives off magic vibes. the only reason she's air is because she levitates
I'd also make a case for dark bc nightmare conjuration is a bit EVIILLL but magic is such a good element for her
She uses dream tornadoes
Dreamcatchers were named dreamcatchers, because it used to be thought that the wind carried dreams both good and bad, so they would let the good dreams blow through them, but stop the bad dreams.
5:04 crypt king shoots locusts not bees
This hurts to watch...
6:23 I feel like it’s life because of the Shredder part, like cutting down trees, & I absolutely forgot Shrednaught wasn’t life, but if it was I think it would make a bit more sense
Fisticuffs is a play on lights out as he’s giving a black eye with the big fist.
Just to know why Krypt king is undead is actually obvious by his pharaoh like design is in as he an undead pharaoh like character as it makes sense why he an undead element to me anyway.
Blast zone is like ignitor, I wouldn’t say they’re robots, more like armor filled with flames or smthn like that
Dark Spyro being a Dark Element in Ring of Heroes fit him more than being a Magic Element in the mainline games.
Also the devs may have wanted players to be able to capture/use GQ from the get-go without having to wait for the Light and Dark elements to be revealed
- Again the assumption that the dev team arbitrarily assigned elements to Skylanders instead of designing Skylanders with specific elements/roles in mind. Sounds like you just don't like Splat
- By that same logic Star Strike should be Light or Starcast should be Magic
- "Why is he water? It's because of his backstory" you just answered your own question my guy
I'd like to point out a skylander that stands out to me for being an element that doesn't necessary fit, that being Hood sickle in imaginators. He very obviously has a lot of grim reaper inspiration, in fact, I'm not sure how good of a source this is, but Hood sickles species is even listed as a reaper on the skylanders wiki. So much is pointing him to the undead element, which he is in trap team, and yet in imaginators he's a dark element. While not game breaking to me, it certainly stands out way more than many of the skylanders discussed here.
“Roller Braw doesn’t fit Undead”
My Brother In Christ, SHE’S A VAMPIRE!
it would make things WAY more boring if every robot skylander was just tech type
Blast Zone isn't a robot; he's a walking/flying oven known as a furnace knight. It would be a good idea to check the characters backstories before making claims like that 😂
And for Krypt King, he's a spirit of a knight that possessed an Arkeyan suit of armor.
One of them is Ice.
One of them is Bug.
I think you forgot to talk about the undead swap force skylander Rattle Shake.
I wish I brought the undead crystal as a kid, never had the chance though
Mentioned Pit Boss for being a living snake but no mention of Rattle Shake for doing the same thing first
Going back to stealth elf, Flameslinger is also the same elf race as stealth elf, meaning that the colour didn’t really matter for the chosen element.
This video has so much bad takes
No, most of them are valid.
the only skylanders i think are out of their element are the villains and returning villains from trap team, but these actually do have a reason.
for the regular villains it was intended that there would be an even number of villains for each element, but villains also have to fit the level theme or else they will feel out of place. that's why some of the villikins have weird elements, they were designed with willikin workshop in mind but couldn't all be put in life or earth or else the elements would be thrown off balance. in the case of the returning villains, since there was supposed to be 10 villains, each having a battleclass and element no other returning villain had, they couldn't have someone like grave clobber be in the earth element when it was already taken. that's why villains had element swaps, it was just so they could fit evenly alongside other villains.
Fun fact krypt king doesn’t have a bee attack it’s locusts which are symbols of death!
@@puppetmarrynate4968 Thank you, I didn't realise this but that makes so much more sense to me now
how come you mention pit boss and not rattle snake?
Most of these could all be wrapped up into “skylanders should be able to have multiple elements.”
I have a skylander book and roller brawl have fangs; which could mean that she’s a vampire, which are undead
7:00 His 2 moves are digging and metal, detecting the ground.
And he's a treasure chest, something people Bury underground. Why wouldn't he be an Earth element?🤨
Stealth elf being a ninja makes her work as a dark element because ninjas primarily work in the shadows.
Krypt king used to be a magic giant and had a figure but got scraped and was put in trap team
“Each element has a bunch of skylanders”
Light and dark having 5 each (that’s less than I’m pretty sure each of the other elements…combined).
For flashwing earth makes sense cause her body made of crystal which they grow underground. That’s Reason she’s earth. Remember a crystal is a mineral of earth
I always thought that Blast zone were a firesoul that just got this armor on to have a physical appearance
Roller Brawl is actually a vampire
That's why she is in the undead element
Roller Brawl is literally a VAMPIRE, how can she not be Undead.
Thank you for giving me such a nostalgic feeling
Imagine if they introduce the concept of Skylanders with two or three elements together, Blastertron would definitely have BOTH light & tech elements, whilst those Crosscrow should just stick to air, and if they’ve introduced dark & light in the first Skylanders game, Stealth Elf would be perfect on having the dark element!!!
Crispy king, he is a mummie, who uses a magic sword, and spits out locusts. Seems primarily Egypt themed to me
I feel like krypt king does fit the undead element, his sword could be seen as haunted sword and the bees could be a reference to the candy man
To be fair with blaster tron, astro blast in superchargers showed that not only do radiant, heavenly light constitutes for a light type, but the future, laser beams and space is also good for liht type, so i think blaster tron gets a pass.
Rattleshake always confused me cuz bro is just a rattlesnake desperado…ain’t nothing dead about him
Splat is magic because you are creative when painting
Question: How did you configure cemu/which tutorial did you use or can you make one?
This could use some work
With krypt king, he does fit undead since with the sword, I think the description words it so he possesses the sword, and locusts are supposed to represent famine and death which also leads back to undead (not sure about the first one I haven't played skylanders in years)
You're telling me Bomb Shell, the strapped turtle that somehow got the magic element, didn't make it onto this list? Insanity.
Blastzone is in my oppinion a living armour. Armour that is hosting fire spirit. Tech doesn't fit as it is not a robot.
maybe the bugs on crypt king are based on the fact the he is a decomposed skeleton and bugs decompose living matter?
I found this really interesting and agree with a lot of the Skylanders brought up. But why was Rattle Shake left out with Pitboss being included? Rattle Shake is the same thing as Pitboss with only a few moves that fit undead.
Id say Spyro there's a reason in his video game the type of dragon he is is a purple magic dragon that's the main thing
But it’s never hinted at in-universe and some people who played these games never played Spyros games
@@axelnilsson5124 2 points 1 the original Skylanders game is called spyros adventure and was named that specifically so that they'd have long time Spyro fans coming to check it out early Skylanders was a gamble because there wasnt a presedent for the toys to life genre so they had to have something to guarantee cash flow 2 if you look at his character bio in swap force or the collection books it says he is as well
@@axelnilsson5124okay. Here’s a reason for people who didn’t know. In both Western and Eastern folklore, Dragons are beings of magic, not fire.
Personally I thought wallop was based off of a Hercules beetle or something so earth seemed fitting
I really would love new game where there are skylander that swap most skylanders elemental alignment. It would be fun to have a new kit as a version of Whirlwind that is Fire Element, or a Wrecking ball that is Undead(Wrecking Skull lol)
Roller Brawl is also a vampire
Krypt King doesn’t have bees it’s more like Locust
Is nobody gonna talk about that fact that chompy MAGE is a life elemental?
Pretty sure Roller Brawl is undead because she's a vampire...and stealth elf is Life because she's a wood elf
Pit boss was more or less inspired by the look of a necromancer, no? I think that’s why he’s more or less in the undead category
Why would he be tech
6.roller brawl. Could be any element.
7.krypt king is biased of a mummy. His abilities are biased(from what i😂can tell) of the biblical bug swarm. It’s not bees. The sword is another thing.
8.wallop seems to be biased off of some type of underground bug. Some type of beetle, because of his head crest
9. Cross crow. Yeah
10. Shield shredder. Yeah
11. Masker mind. Necromancy is death magic
12. Chimo chest . Yeah
11. Tussle. Yeah
13. Golden queen gold. Ones from the ground. And Isn’t her stuff biased off of king mitas
14.yeah, idk why dark element
15. Yeah
Supper chargers
16. Its magic is because she summons paint. To use
It's ignitor on crack, a fire soul that doesnt leave the metal armor
(Besides, fire ring, fire trail, blazing bomb, fire dash, the one thing that he is other than fire is not tech, it's overpowered)
The fact that he ignores so many skylanders with the EXACT SAME CONCEPTS is wierd. Ignitor, Prism Break, and Rattle Shake are ignored, yet Blast Zone ,Flash Wing, and Pit Boss are brought up.
