- Skylanders Imaginators is notoriously expensive, but as someone who absolutely loves it, today I will be breaking down the prices of the senseis, and which you should actually buy to get the most out of your money, and out of imaginators

It is important to know that both cortex and crash need each other to unlock their soul gems, so if you want their full experience you maybe should buy both
Both are great & fun too
I remember I was lucky and found a pack with both em in a Five Below so I walked out spending $5 on 2 sensei figures
My brother who’s a hardcore skylanders collector, said that the problem with imaginators is that if you compare the sensei’s to the SSA Skylanders, they are no longer cartoony and less detailed, but are now more realistic and detailed, and if you didn’t know what imaginators was, the figures wouldn’t look like skylanders
Tl;dr Skylanders progressively looked less and less like skylanders
as og player i can agree. Thats why i always forget senseis that arent villains from trap team.
@@lohialli4205the only skylanders from imaginators I ever remember are kingpin because he’s in that one Netflix show and pain-yatta since he is my favourite skylander
I also remember what that imaginator that was voiced by Dantdm looked liked but I don’t remember their name (but he was a creation and not a Sensei)
To sum it up, they are kind of forgettable
Personally I think pain yatta is worth getting the other two can’t hold a candle to how cool and good he is
Skylanders was my childhood
Last week, I went to a thrift store and got a bunch of in box imaginations figures all ranging from 3-5 dollars each. The figures were.

This is very helpful as someone that needs one of each element so I can do all the special stuff like in TT. So far I only have Ro-Bo and Golden Queen so this will help me for future finds

honestly I feel like it's more practical to just get NFC cards of the entire roster. I personally would never pay more than $50 on a single figure from a dead game. I was lucky enough to have most of the physical Senseis from when the game came out, including all of the adventure pack characters, most Trap Team villains except for Chompy Mage, and Kaos. For collectors' sake, I understand the appeal of having the figures, and honestly anyone is free to spend their money as they please, but I feel like it's a much more sound investment to go with NFC cards.
Lucky for me I have a good maturity of the Imaginators figure, even Wild Storm and Robow I got in store for regular price before they were expensive. But that Dark Element is the only thing I’m missing, I’m SO CLOSE to having the game %100 but I just need a Dark sensei to unlock the dark realm so I can beat it. And of course that’s the one ware the figures are more expensive. Lol
I will say Hood Sickle is somewhat difficult to use him properly and to his full potential. So for the average skylander player they should get star cast because he is easier to use than hood sickle.

I've only bought outside from starterpack are Hood Sickle and Dr Krankcase for 8€ each + 3€ Ambush. Everyone are in great condition too.
Please give your starcast a cast for his arm, its not safe to have a wound that big exposed😔
Here in europe every sensei cost around 20-25€+ and to add more an atleast 10€ shipping but most of the time you will find them at 30. I checked some US deals and the prices are really like you said. Here in europe it's always been a scam buying senseis

Well, I had no idea wild storm was that much I got him and I thought he was only around $80 for resell and I got them at the thrift store for three dollars plus another character

I started playing the game and I live the game. But I do want to get TidePool for some reason. Maybe I will pick up her up after I get a sensei of each class first. All these wasted years. Creating my character is just too much fun. I’m playing on expert mode to unlock nightmare mode. When I have enough skylanders. I also have my first giant too.

We may not get a new skylanders game at summer game fest but we can hope for 2025 but it might be a remaster collection Spyros adventure giants and swap force and it’s gonna be digital instead of the toys I’m okay with that as long as there’s new skylanders that we never seen before
Still imaginators is very costly you can get most of the games full roster of the price of a band minimum in imaginators
I got lucky and found Blaster Tron for 25 dollars
buckshot is ass dont get him,mysticat is so underrated and powerful,mysticat combines lots of the invisible and sneak skylanders into one AND doesnt feel weak or slow in any way,mysticat along with pitboss go under the radar every time and its dumb cos people just either dont give them a chance or they just suck at using them to get their full potential
I think mysticat is underrated and really fun to play

As a collector, highest difficulty player and 100% achiever this is the only game I don’t have every character as they ain’t that fun and the game is meh, but I managed to find everyone in store so yeah I’m one of those lucky few.
I have:
Wildstorm he’s kinda boring, I hate transformation characters and specially when it’s the soul gem where no of my upgrades synergies with it
Airstrike is also kind boring, he’s fast and the falcon trainer gimmick is cool but it only do so much
Golden queen really like her, wish tho gold was attracted to her and gave you health, sadly again transformation soul gem
Ember is a must have she’s amazing
Flairwolf is mid
Kingpen is kinda bad unless you spam snowballs
Boom bloom is another must have she’s awesome
Crash is pretty good and his life gimmick is fun, but the drop rate of lifes even if you only use tnt is like never
Wolfgang is tricky as his weapon is for long range but neither his speed or the game’s mechanics allows for that
Robow is ok, his arrows doesn’t work on small or big enemies, using laser is risky and the ball is difficult to control, jump attack is useless and the two transformations are high risk low reward
Krankcase is really good, I recommend the hat path instead tho
Painyata is decent and it’s really satisfying to create piñata chain explosions but it’s kinda a lot of a moveset
Aurora is very bland
Starcast I don’t see the appeal of, feels clunky and not very concentrated for a lot of set up for barley any reward, still do get with the rift stars dose
As for imaginators I have
Air bazooker, tornado and drop mines is a good combo
Earth smasher
Fire swashbuckler the dash and the slam are great for dealing with multiple enemies and to dodge, can change primary according to situations
Water brawler
Life ninja
Undead knight the skull and the R2 attack gives great buffs
Tech sharp shot bounty hunter and single line of fire can kill Kaos in 3 seconds
Magic magician
Light sentinel
Dark bowslinger the shadow dash is great to creat distance from targets
Hi, i'll start playing imaginators for the first time soon! Do you NEED senseis to play/continue the game?
I grew up with the first 3 games, now got the last 3 with all the skylanders and items from the games except for imaginators
There are no elemental portals in Imaginators, you only really need the senseis to unlock special zones for each element, that are like a seperate level but a bit shorter. You need a sensei of each element to complete the 100% tho.

@@hoppizz You probably mean NFC cards. Yeah they are the cheapest way to get all the figures you want, although ofc collecting actual figures is way more fun.
@@xfabian21 Yes, those. I have every figure and i'm happy with my purchase, but i feel like they are really expensive figures, which can only be used in 1/6 games unfortunatly

it’s really up to you. He doesn’t unlock any sort of secret technique, sensei realm, or expansion pack, and considering he is on the more expensive side, it’s probably not worth it. But because he’s so iconic that a lot of people are still gonna want him
