    How did u drift when it's a 4WD

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LABGaming45 it's actually easier to drift a 4wd rc car than a rear wheel. rear wheel rc usually spin out if you give too much throttle so it requires much more skill

      Yes, you can can the body, don't know about HPI bodies, you just need to check up on dimensions and wheel span

    Is the body and wheel changeable?

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, everything is replaceable in the car. Watch my other videos I have made with this car. I show this car at the skate park and also show mechanical tests on it.

    im considering buying this. please tell me about it, does it have any issues, and is it worth my money?

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +datstocklyfe Hey, so I bought this car for $130 AUD. I think it is well worth the money seeing that other RC cars can be 500+. Max speed is around 40km/h (25 mph). Range is really good too. I'd say around 100m or more. Drifting is really good too. I have improved a lot since this video.
      In the car I am able to adjust the shocks and camber. Everything inside is also waterproof. I have once accidentally fully submerged the car under water and it still works perfectly.
      You can also change the tires to on road tires, which with make the car easier to accelerate and control.
      An issue i've had is that if a wall hits the car side on (right side) the motor may come loose off the gears (check the gears section in my other video). To fix this you have to take the plastic gear covering off then move the motor back in and tighten the screws.
      Another small issue is the adhesive on the receiver. After driving it in the water it started to come loose. So I recommend using some hot glue.
      Once I was driving at top speed and crashed straight into a wall and it bent one of the axels in the car. But because the car is built a special way the wheels will still turn if the axels are bent a little bit.
      Another thing to note is on the controller, to reverse you have to push the lever up twice. The first time you push it, it brakes then the next time it starts going backwards.
      On the controller you can control the sensitivity of the steering. You can also reverse the forward and backward motion, trim the steering (if the car is slightly steering left or right).
      However I do not recommend driving this car in the dirt (see my dirt drifting video). Although it was really fun and looked cool, it ruined and worn out the plastic gear (the motor has a metal gear but the second one is plastic). So now I am unable to use the car. I CAN fix it if I buy the parts but it looks like that I will have to take most of the car apart to replace it. I may fix it when I have time.
      The car is very durable and can survive high impact crashes. A good thing is that mostly everything in the car is replaceable and you can find these parts online. You can also replace most plastic parts with metal parts (this will make it stronger but also heavier)
      Thanks, Aidan

      Thanks for taking the time to explain those to me, i very much appreciate it. also, where would i be able to buy spare parts for the car? I'm in australia. also, i might consider buying one of those cars, but i just dont want to buy it and only be able to play with it for a short amount of time before things stop working and start breaking.

      +datstocklyfe Hey, I bought my car from www.technophobealley.com just search up flying fish. When you receive the car you'll get a sheet with all the parts and part numbers. If something brakes you can look for the part number then search it up on the website. I also recommend buying an extra battery as this can be very useful. It is a very durable car but you have to be careful with getting dirt in it at it can get into the gears. If you just drive with it on hard surfaces such as asphalt, concrete or pathways it will last a very long time. The only main thing you will probably have to replace are the wheels. Once the wheels start wearing out drifting gets harder although it still can drift.

    How long is charge time?

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +IzaK Jamez For a 2700 mAh battery, charging time is around 4-5 hours. I have also bought an extra battery so I have more continuos play time.

    are flying fish cars good for a newbie?

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are. This was my first real RC car and it didn't take long for me to get used to it. It definitely is much easier to control when you have road tires not drift tires but once you get the hang of it it will be fun.

    • @wiseshibe3487
      @wiseshibe3487 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aidan Kwan thats great to hear, do you have any tips tire wise for me?

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Building Velociraptor When you buy the car you should receive drift tires and I think these are great whenever you want to drift but it is also good if you have road tires whenever you want to go faster and have more control. I bought road tires because I wanted to race a friend but usually I just use drift tires as its much cooler.

    • @wiseshibe3487
      @wiseshibe3487 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aidan Kwan so it is easy to swap from drift to grip?

    • @Aidankwan
      @Aidankwan  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Building Velociraptor yep so basically like changing a tire on a real car but there is only one hex screw for each wheel. At first I just used pliers but you can buy hex tools that work too.
