Harriet has a empty grave because at the time they had to buy 3 graves. Dred Scott had to be buried in the middle of 3 graves because they didn't want to bury him next to a white person.
I was born in St. Louis in 1951. I lived in STL for the greater part of my life. I take GREAT pride in that fact. I wish the "tour guide" showed a little more respect.

I HATE this cemetery, some crazy hillbilly guy chased me out of this cemetery because he thought I was a devil worshipper because i was wearing a red costume.
@@m.h.8914 Yep. I just did Calvary and Bellefontaine...even made it over to the Velodrome and Penrose Park. It felt as safe as any place in STL. Keep your wits and don't be stupid, and you can travel anywhere.
@@m.h.8914 Me too. There is so much to see if you know what you are looking at. I've been walking and exploring all over old N. STL this summer. Fascinating, sad, but fascinating. That said there are places I'll walk at 9am, not too many at 9pm. Situational awareness indeed. Enjoy
@@m.h.8914 Something cool - While walking around Penrose Park and the velodrome, I encountered the Lindenwood bike team practicing. They were cool as heck, and told me there is real racing on Thursday nights. An excuse to get back up there and do a little exploring before the races. GO LINDENWOOD!
As a person from St Louis, I thank you for showing the city in a positive light.
Thank You for the video!!!
Very interesting. Born in St Louis. But left in 1959 as a child. Have a lot of relatives buried there.
My mom and dad are buried here ❤
5:38 Doesn't "Nez perce" mean sharp nose or pointy nose in French?😊
I don't think so, not according to Google translator. In a Native American language it means We the People

@@jamie49868 I agree. My rule is situational awareness and if it feels wonky, get out. I travel all around the city.
