- In this video, the Porsche Experience Center in Silverstone gets an unusual visitor: the Porsche 935. Since the 935 was first introduced in 1976, the car won over 150 races worldwide until 1984. Gordon Robertson, Porsche's Chief Driving Consultant, gets behind the wheel of this iconic car and finds out how 760 bhp on full-boost feel on the track.

Probably the coolest car ever made and probably the dumbest idea in video editing history to put that music in the clip. Let the car speak for it self.

IMO The BEST Raw Horsepower Porsche Ever and Best Looking With That Slant Nose! Nothing Like This Turbo Widebody! Great Historic Vid. I just recorded some of these machines racing at Laguna Seca, what a thrill to watch and hear!

The music at the end sounds exactly like NFS Porsche Unleased! If I recall correctly the 935 was the ultimate car in the game, although a 993 turbo that had a full list of modifications would win on almost all occasions.

This is what I love with the older models: the handling. I mean the newer ones handle fine, but they are always mushy in comparison. New porshe's are more and more about power, and people forget about the perfect balance ratio porsche has, so they rely on power to get them through the corners and down the track; they forget how to drive and feel the car on the road I guess you could say
rear engined porsches handle better today than they ever have done, you're obviously forgetting the famously crude concrete and lead bumper cars, porsche added weight to the front to try and crudely improve distribution. I personally prefer the old crude beasts but they are inferior by a long way to their modern counterparts.
porsche even tried to replace the 911 with the 928 as it was a far more capable chassis but everyone loved the big backside of the 911 so much more, 928 sales couldn't compete. so they spent years and years making the rear engined 911 work properly on the road. they mastered the track years earlier but roads are a lot more tricky (rain, snow, potholes, thousands of miles a year, and the numpty behind the wheel has to control it).
great stuff. Saw these race at Sebring when you could stand about 10 feet from the track, and for the 24 hours at Daytona. Good times, great cars. Nothing compares. Next time use the gas pedal!
what a car!!! porsche, please put some of your cars in gran turismo, its the only chance most of us have to drive them!

OMG THAT CAR IS AWESOME!
If I may offer some advice: I would have enjoyed the video a lot more if there was (at least) 15 seconds of pure acceleration, downshifting, and just all-round hard driving! Such a beautiful car though, and I loved the camera angles. The sound editing just wasn't pure enough, and the music was too prominent. Cheers!

I agree with the comments on the 'flashy' editing and the 'groovy' soundtrack. Best to leave that out next time. It's also a pity that Mr Robertson didn't really floor it, although that's better understandable!

Car videos should include subtitles alone, no "music" , and no narration. Just a dream I know. I want to hear the sounds of the cars and only the cars. I'm selfish.
I can do without the music, but sometimes narration is needed to get the full picture.

porsche is good stuff. young for a german company compared to horch or wanderer, or daimler benz. but still a good company.
Next time, every classic road and race car, do not put any kind of music. We all Porsche fans want to hear the pure sound of the engine and gear-changes. Apart from that, the rest is as good as always.

I realy love the 935, those typical late 70s big wings, flat nose and wide body. among racecars this has to be one of the absolute coolest looking and sounding ones ever made. I got a 1 of 24 scale kit version of its ultimate version the moby dick.
