    I have super tight wrists and just started doing this practice whenever I got time before my workouts. Gotta adapt some poses because there's no way in hell I can stay in tabletop with my hands turned around for example, but I'm already noticing a slight improvement in mobility after doing the routine ~5-6 times. Definitely gonna keep this one in my steady rotation!

    Wow these felt amazing! I was used to your usual wrist warmups at the start of your other videos yet adding just a few more minutes of focus on stretching them more intensely goes a looong way. I was starting to feel discomfort in my wrist and hand joints from a bad habit of joint cracking 🤪 and these took the tension and discomfort out right away. Definitely making this a daily routine! Thanks tons Flo! Sending both of you positivity from Vancouver Island, Canada! 😁 Namaste!

    Are these safe for people with hypermobility ? I actually hurt my wrists doing a wrist warm up at a yoga class. Now I’m trying to let it rest and find new safer versions for myself

    These warm ups have been helpful and I wonder about the surface one is doing yoga on. Certain surfaces are harder on one’s body. I love doing yoga on my porch or driveway to be outside but is this dangerous for my hands and wrists? I do use a yoga mat; perhaps I should invest in a thicker one. Thank you Flo 🙏🏼

    I appreciate this so much. Thank you! My wrists see a lot of use between exercise, yoga and work as a massage therapist. This video is going to be revisited quite a bit! Also...my cat (who is normally not interested in the TV and does not like men) was completely entranced by this!

    Hello guys, I really like your videos. I have been learning a lot following you, so I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would also like to know which is the right position of the arms when the hands are on the ground, for example in downward facing dog, cat-cow, plank, should they be external rotated with the elbows looking a little more towards the inside? I am quite sure they should be like that in downward facing dog, but not so sure about the other positions.
    Anyway thank you a lot for your dedication and your lessons, I wish you the best.
    Michele

    I injured my left wrist many years back & got surgery to fix it back then. So now i have difficulties to do the wrist warm up which facing the palm upside. It feels like my left wrist is not as flexible as my right. Is there any option to warm up in my case?

      we challenge you to ask yourself why. do you have wrist issues? is the solution then to avoid the problem or to actually work on the wrists to get them back on track? but to your question, yes we will produce some more but this will be very limited 🙏

    Nice video! I am struggling with this for years, due to wrist exercises, and that's what keeps me out of yoga. Wrist pain is hard. Thanks ;)

    • @BreatheAndFlow
      @BreatheAndFlow  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! Yes wrist pain is difficult and especially since we are on our hands so much in yoga it is important to keep them healthy. There are also several types of pain, in simple terms, if the pain is on the outside of the hands, meaning on the side where the pinky finger is then it is not good. This is mostly due to wrong hand placement and weight distribution while practicing. If the pain is on the inside of the hand, at the wrist on the side where the thumb is then it is ok and just means that your wrists are getting stronger and adjust. But of course even then you need to listen to your body and take rest days and breaks when appropriate. We are happy it helped!

      @@BreatheAndFlow What about wrist pain centered on the inside of the wrist? The wrist pain has been bad for about three or four months now through too much vinyasa practice and having naturally weak wrists.

    That was way more thorough than I expected and eye-opening as to how inflexible my wrists currently are - (shouldnt be a surprise because i found this video while trying to recover from a wrist sprain). I found this helpful, thanks. Could you explain what breath into the wrists means, please? That'd be super helpful. Thanks again :)

      Hey guys. So I'm getting back to this after becoming inconsistent with it. (Wrist sprain is better but still get tightness esp in the other wrist, probably from too much phone usage??). Anyways, was wondering if you could clarify - is it important to work flexion before extension or is it ok to start with the flexion stretches first?
