Its time to add another durability test to the TH-cams. This time its the Motorola G4. This phone was released mid 2016, but it has been heavily requested in the comments of my other videos. And as you know, I do test the phones that get mentioned most often.

Remco Bosma take a minus head screw driver, smallest bit. then keep angle of 45 degrees, and scratch the entire coating off. it will take time, around 20 mins or so if you keep scratching continuously. Remember do not put too much pressure. be gentle and patiently keep scratching it. u said it has a scratch proof camera glass...but my phone's camera glass has lot of scratches...are u sure it is scratch proof? how should i fix it?

This is my actual phone. I've always liked your videos, specially because of how short and well made they're. I was so sick of those long tutorials, and although ifixit is great, they don't cover all phones as well or as fast as you do. Durability is a key feature to have in mind, before buying. I'll never buy another phone, without seeing your durability test and disassembly first. Thanks Zach . Your videos really help me, and many others. Keep making great videos.

It amazes me how much Motorola is able to accomplish with such a small price tag. I recommended this phone to my dad and he loves it.

Used g4+ for 4+ years. Pretty solid phone. The display went dead after that. Strangely enough the only major issue I faced was scratches on the back of camera glass. Also with occasional ghost touches.

I have had one for over 2 years now, and it has lasted longer than other phones ive had. very good. It just shuts off by itself sometimes which is a hassle.
I must add that I dropped my G4 in the canal (while switched on) last winter. It took a couple of minutes to jump in and find it. I then had to quickly dry it and use it immediately for work. I'm still using it now with no side effects.

I've got a Moto G4 plus and the only issues I've had was it glitching when I turn the brightness up, my power button button popped out but I glued back in with ease, and the corners are nicked but that's because my clumsy ass drops it 24/7 yet the screen isn't cracked or scratched and I don't use a phone case either. This thing is the best phone I've ever had honesty. You can throw this puppy around and it'll be fine.

my g4 plus is two years old and its been thrown and dropped from various heights, swam in ocean for more than 30mins and still works very well. its pretty rugged phone.
A lot of users of this phone complain about the camera glass prone to get scratches. This phone doesn'tgot scratched at all. That's confusing.

Hey jerry, actually these flexes are not cool primarily because of warranty issues. The phone is made out of soft plastic that bends easily (too easily in fact) but doesn't break. However, if your phone is even a little bit bent it would disqualify for a warranty. Happened to me.

After this video, I'm really glad I have this phone. The best phone I have as of now. Sadly, I got some small scratches on my rear camera's glass, but at least it doesn't affect the quality of my photos and videos. I highly recommend a protective case to avoid any hits.

i came here to see how much the phone is able to survive, because mines has both the power and volume buttons really messed up with just normal use (and 1 fall from the bed), it surprises me that it actually survives the bend test.
Nothing as solid as a CAT S60 can take the ultimate challenge.. Do a test on that phone please

There is, however, something that I'd like know from you as a native English speaker ... I always tell my students that it is "number of" if what you refer to something that is countable. You say "a surprising amount of people have requested ..." (at the very beginning of this video). Since I am no native speaker, does it strike you as odd that you say "amount of people" instead of "number of people"?
I know that this question is entirely beside the point of your video but I'm interested in what you think anyway.
