    I own a couple of them and have been so happy with it. Even had a few buddies get it.

    I just ordered the 3000 for my telescoping rod to keep in my work truck. I deliver bait to all over Northern California bait shops... I’m drive thru the delta country every day... stripers are here!

    I own one and have it paired with my 9 foot surf rod and I have never done any maintenance on it besides washing it with fresh water and drying it

    These reels are a carbon copy of the Teben GTS III
    They both have the same metsl foot and specs.
    The only issue I have is with the metal foot after awhile the chrome plating will start to peel off and corroid so I fixed that problem by scrapping off all the platting and sanding it back to bare aluminium then prime and paint good to go.
    Then the handle after awhile stats to come lose from the small screw so you can get an after market handle.. Once they have been fixed you have a pretty decent reel.

    Would the 4000 size match a 7 foot medium heavy, fast action rod?

    Would the 6000 match a Kastking Blackhawk ll telescopic spinning rod, 2.44m MH action?

    I’m deciding on getting this, how is it doing now, reviewers say it’s not good for the salt

      Is it good for salt?

      @famousfishingcaliforniadelta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't used it in salt water but if you make sure to flush it after each use, you should be good to go.

    Its always difficult to trust a review when the reviewer is deck out in the products merchandise.

      I hear you Daniel. I feel the same way about other reviews. But you know, lots of reviews are done by people who are sponsored by the products they review... they just wear plain clothes. You really have to try the products ouit for your self and make your own determination. Thanks for stoppin by and commenting!

      @@famousfishingcaliforniadelta I did end up buying a 3000 series of the reel, it's on the way now. I'll give it a try for a few months of saltwater stripe bass fishing and leave a comment about what I think about it.

      @@famousfishingcaliforniadelta So far so good, I don't really have any complaints with the reel. I think I should of bought one size bigger. The 3000 size feels a little small. I should of took it out on the boat with me the other day to really test it out because its been a slow fishing season from shore. We were getting 33" blue fish and stripe bass off the boat though.

    Wtf. Why is every review on this reel by a guy wearing kastking gear?

    • @famousfishingcaliforniadelta
      @famousfishingcaliforniadelta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI there Ace, and thanks for stopping by and listening to the review. There are many people who review Kastking reels who are not sponsored by them like I am. Rest assured, I would not have the Kastking shirt on if I didn't truly believe in the products I talk about. Keep checking the Kastking reviews and if there is any specific information you need about them just let me know and I will make sure I get your questions answered or if not, I will find someone who can. Again thanks for stopping by!

    red ear and crappie on a 5000 but Striper on a 6000 WTF lol!! Zero credibility after that statement.

    • @davidcarrillo6318
      @davidcarrillo6318 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2000 feels too heavy for a 3k drop shot. That carber fiber drag has I believe 30#’s on the 2000, so if you are going for big bluegills you’ll need a bigger reel like he said the 4 or 5k

      @@davidcarrillo6318 LOL!!! Megatron 5000 holds 410 yards of 12lb test on its lowest line size spool rating with 39.5 lbs of alleged drag. 5000 on striper Yes Blue gill and Red ear on a 5000 megaton is ridiculous

      @@davidcarrillo6318 KK products are knock offs using cheap Chinese and Malaysian grade parts. Some companies use Chinese parts as well but the difference is they use high grade parts vs cheap. Bearing quality can be .50 cent bearings or $40.00 a piece bearings and made by the same manufacture. KK uses the cheapest they can find

      @@jimbo4612 Yea, the sweet spot for me as I said was the 5K series (stripers, large Redear)- But if your doing smaller bluegill or smaller redder a 2K or 3K is just fine.
