Bro. do u ever wash yiur setup after fishing in saltwater ? i go fishing everyday and never any of my reels becane like that. i most of the tine wash my whole setup when i get hone. one of my reels is megatron 6k. it is in mint condition 1 year of use. i got daiwa ninja , sakura ceos, kastking megatron and a penn spinfisherV5. megatron , by far , is the best reel i have used tbh. All that gimmick about penn waterproof and stuff is just waste. i do my own full servicing and repairing for all my setups even repair rods for myself and other people . so yeh huge experience in that field. Megatron best ever purchase . value for money ? no... --> toooo much value for little money. this reel should be in the Penn price range. 5carbon washers. who even gives u that . smooth drag even for super big fishes. tested max drag-> goes up to 17 kgs (my own test) could go even a bit higher. (on the box its written 19kg but i didnt go further than 17kg ) Still smooth Ball bearings never gave up or rust or anythjng ( though keep in mind i do servicing once every 3-4 months on every reel and wssh them after use .
Thanks mate - what can I say - You are just great. I wash my reels any time I go on the boat in salt water. I have dropped 5 of my reels right into 10m off the pier once and pulled them by line sinker and hooks which was lucky, but the corrosion on the outside of Kastking happened mainly through normal use and normal wash. As you can see in the video the shaft and and screws aren't corroded but the handle is. Also in comparison to the other 6 rods and reels that I take, let me tell you, this is the only one that had this issue - which says a lot when the conditions are equal with other reels. Never the less, this particular castking definitely is worth the money hence why I made a video to share my views. Too many people in the USA get paid a dollar to give positive reviews or just use in freshwater, here I am in Melbourne Australia where this brand is not known making a separate subjective video. I service different reels if I think there is a need. I am not fussed about losing a $50 reel after 5 years of use but till this date, in 18 years of fishing in salt water I have never had reel seize or not work as intended.
bro, hugged!)
They state the washers are carbon ?? Wtf are they lying?
