Plenty of that in USA and Mexico!

I watched it and the "message" I picked up on was that lonely gamer dudes are actually cowardly narcissistic control freaks full of impotent resentment and they can't handle a "real" woman being independent and AI is going to turn on us because they want to use it to stroke their own egos.
But you know... just "undertones" of that (except for when Iris pretty much spells this out towards the end).
    Cute movie.

Sounds like the plot of ex-machina, except that one had no undertones whatsoever.

I liked the part where you talked about emotional availability and someone randomly started screaming

Thanks to your comment I was on the lookout for that and probably enjoyed it than I should have...

That last part about transactional relationships got me thinking it's amusing timing for the movie to come out as the Destiny scandal is slowly gaining steam.
Not just in terms of him sexually exploiting others, but his willingness to bring down many other internet personalities if he goes down.

The 20 other streamers thing is probably the most direct example of a crab-bucket mentality I’ve ever seen.

Isn't the modern world rich Gammas and poor gammas calling each other gammas and trying to overcome each other?

Yes, yes it is. What's something more to consider is how gammization occurs to rich people with a variety of resources at hand.

9:29 wait, if Iris doesn't know that she's a robot how does she go about changing her own settings? That doesn't make any sense. Nothing we can do but I digress I suppose...

I was wondering what the heck this movie was gonna be. Probably more subversive suburbia.

9;20 is that a reference to EMJ's big gay disco?

Voxday needlessly created a bunch of unnecessary and ridiculous male archetypes.
Just keep it to alphas and betas and use actual words to describe characters instead of cringe voxday trash

If it's male positive I wanna see it now, regardless of RR

15:15 well isn't that the point of science fiction as social commentary? to use robots or aliens to critique how humans are or treat each other?

had to look up the movie, of course the Gamma male is played by Dennis Quaid's Failson.
