    I found a 150 with the Tyro stock from a seller in the Netherlands. I bought it! Can't wait till it arrives! Really enjoyed your viseo.

      Nice one, the tyro stocks make all the difference, especially for standers. Probably why they banned them for competition back in the day. Enjoy!

    Had to watch this video again, since I have been shooting my 150 with the Tyro stock. I am not a professional shooter but using H&N match pellets I've shot some amazing groups, at 10m. Five pellets into a hole 1/4". These guns are mechanical marvels!

      Amazing aren’t they? Nearly 60 years old and shoot like pcp’s. Fantastic airguns.

    Excellent video. Never seen a FWB 110 - now realise why - only around 180 made! A minor criticism of the test would be the use of shoot'n'c type targets which do not allow precise measurements of the groups, flaking of the paint material in a non consistent manner may give false impression of the actual group size. I do see that those targets make much better viewing on the video. Good shooting though. Interesting conclusion. Would be could to compare the finalised and perfected 300 model to the earlier models.

    Both beautiful rifles and good shooting. I don't own one of these fine target rifles but you video has heightened my interested in purchasing one. I own mostly magnum springer. Thanks

      Thanks, I have a 1985 Feinwerkbau Sport 124 which was one of the first Magnum springers, it is an awesome air rifle…There is something very satisfying about shooting a 6ftlb match rifle though, I can highly recommend getting one. Cheers

    Great video, thank you for sharing! Love the design of the 110.
    As you say, shooting the 150/300(s) isn't much 'fun', which is why I sold the specimens I had. A springer should recoil, even if it's just a little, and the shooter's skill should contribute to the (small) size of the group as much as the airgun and pellets, IMHO.

    • @dkjngl1
      @dkjngl1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you 100%, with a springer it feels like team work between you and the gun when you shoot them accurately. It’s very Zen.

  • @redpillnibbler4423

    Interesting that,nice looking rifles too.It would be interesting to see longer range groups using a scope.To me a recoil less spring piston action would have real advantages in the hunting field.
    John Bowkett made one I remember,it had opposing pistons - ingenious.
    I assume manufacturers havn’t gone down that route because it’s not cost effective plus the weight increase of such a rifle.

    • @dkjngl1
      @dkjngl1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, these days you can make two or three PCP’s in the time it takes to make one quality springer so no ones going to bother. The Stirling Armaments dual piston prototype we all got excited about recently never came to fruition, shame really. Cheers.

    Hi, nice video, I just wanted to ask you what differences (if any) are between the two recoilless FWB 150 and 300. I've seen quite a few 150s and a lot more 300s on an auction website (egun) and was wondering if it's worth buying one over the other, and why.
    Cheers mate

    • @dkjngl1
      @dkjngl1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I got both my 150 and 110 from that same German auction site too, it's a great place for vintage German airguns.
      The 150, 300 and 300S all have the same mechanism but they got progressively heavier and the stocks evolved to a much more target style stock in the later 300S.
      The early 300's look very similar to the 150, but the 150 has a sleek sporter style stock and the slimmer barrelled version I have is quite light in comparison to the later 300S which is very heavy!
      For pure target shooting the 300S is probably best but from a vintage collecting point of view I love the 150, especially with the Tyrolean stock. Great to shoot too.
      Probably best to get them all!
      Cheers

    Nice video. Which one would you Take for target and plinking sessions with metallic silhouettes ? The fwb 300 or the 300s?

    • @dkjngl1
      @dkjngl1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both work the same but the earlier 300 would be lighter than the 300s, so that might be a better choice for multiple rapid silhouette shooting if shot standing. From a bench then the heavier 300s might be a bit more stable. Cheers!
