There were 2 cars in the parking lot when we got there last time. Def pays to go at the end of fall than in the summer. Although the bridge over the falls were icy

That sounds awesome. Was it flowing pretty good that time of year?

Love this place! You should try the hot spring too since you're in that area.

Go to northern Washington, take the scenic Chuckanut Drive between Bow and Bellingham. Also stop there and hike Oyster Dome. You'll get a great view of the San Juan islands. Then make your trip over to Anacortes and get on the ferry and go out to the San Juan islands. Visit Friday harbor, Roche Harbor on Lopez Island. You may see killer whales along the way. When you get back into Anacortes, go west to Oak Harbor and stop off at deception pass along the way. A MUST STOP is the Shrimp Shack between deception Pass and Anacortes, the BEST Clam Chowder and fresh shrimp in the Northwest. You can buy the shrimp by the pound freshly cooked and you just peel and eat out of a paper bag.

Just wonder if this is 0.8 or 1.8 or 2.8 miles trail? I heard differently

We clocked it at right around 3 miles roundtrip to the falls and back

Sol Duc Road is now closed during the winter, so unless you bike out there or walk the 14+ miles to the falls, the best flows that are accessible are in the Spring.

If you go early, like an hour after sunrise, you will see the sun rays through the mist kicked up by the falls. This makes for rainbows surrounding you, which is really magical. Be warned though. This is werewolf country.

Woah! Sounds like something we will have to check out next time! I forget are werewolf's scared of silver spikes or garlic? 🤣
