@yourjoking Right Dood - I'd moan and be making orgasmic facial expressions as well if I was sitting in Vienna and munching on those cakes...... And I wouldn't have a problem being presented with that sausage platter either!
chaserkitty we were stymied in Poland as Thomas got viral gastro a couple of days after we arrived 😝 BUT we’re heading back in a couple of weeks and will pick up the series back up then 😄 Watch this space! Thanks for watching chaserkitty, hope you enjoyed this one. Cheers, Sheena
I have to admit this is the first time I see food-vloggers not being ripped off and instead showing legitimate places ;) Although in my 30 years visiting Leo´s, I have never seen the silver platter. Maybe we always had too many beers ;)
😂 easy enough to do! Thanks for your kind words Martin Smarda- we always like to get off the trail and eat as local as possible. Looking forward to returning to Vienna one day soon- we had a brilliant time and ate very well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
omg that was unreal. Absolutely amazing! I wish we'd had room for about 3 portions each 😂 Thanks very much for watching this one and we hope you enjoyed it. Cheers, Thomas 😀
So glad you enjoyed it mate! It’s a lovely city right? We had an amazing time just wandering and eating and taking it all in. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
It’s just stunning isn’t it? We loved it too. We only had 3 days in Vienna though as it was so expensive to visit but I hope we can return one day. When were you last there Susan? Thanks for watching and commenting on this one. Cheers, Sheena
Chasing a Plate - Thomas & Sheena It was at least 6 years ago for us, we love to travel across Europe in our van whenever we can . So many places to visit though. 😊🙏
Chasing a Plate - Thomas & Sheena Hiya, yes it’s the best way for us anyway, we have been travelling all over Europe and the UK for the last 28 years 😁🥰
I love Vienna. I’m thinking of spending Christmas there this year so I’m happy to have a couple of new recommendations for eats! Thanks for the lovely tour. (Poor Thomas does look a bit wan in this one. What a trooper!)
Wow Christmas there would be spectacular. We’d love to spend a Christmas in this part of the world one day soon. Glad we can help with a few places to eat. We highly recommend everything in this video. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Thomas 😀 ps feeling much better thanks!
Thanks so much for watching Sabrina! Your city is so special- we loved our time there. Hope we can return one day soon. Thanks for taking the time to say hi 👋 Cheers, Sheena
😆😆😆 i hope we can all get on the road again soon. Vienna was such a beautiful city, hope you can make it there soon. Thanks for watching and commenting Dixie. Cheers, Sheena
😂 I can't believe you guys did the Big Mama! Haha. *_Würstelstand LEO_* - I ordered a frankfurter, a bratwurst and a meatloaf sandwich but declined the roll and the bread that comes with the sausages because I wanted to sample just the meats. The gent insisted that I have at least one slice of dark bread, a dollop of sauerkraut and some sauces to get the full experience. Very cool fellow. *_apfelstrudel_* - Mmm, mmm. I _forced_ myself to try a few while in Vienna and seem to recall that they had walnuts and/or raisins. Yours looked all apples. Beautiful. *_wiener schnitzel_* - I agree wholeheartedly about the potato salad. So simple and surprisingly delicious. Seriously. Vienna is such a fantastic city...breathtakingly beautiful at night. Excellent start to the series!
It was the silver platter and all those condiments that cinched the deal Tosh 🤣 Good job on getting a range to try- which was your favourite? This apfel strudel was fantastic- and yes all apples no raisins or walnuts. I loved it. I couldn’t get over the potato salad- what a perfect accompaniment to the schnitzel. Where did you eat schnitzel? Only the one video from Vienna unfortunately- it sort of broke the budget but we were desperate to get there so had to keep it super short 😝 Hope we can get back soon. Thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
Very rare moment when we're on TH-cam at the same time. We usually miss each other by a day or two. 😂 One video yet you captured the essence of Vienna I must say...well done. 👍 *_favorite sausage?_* - I'm looking at the pic I took at LEO to jog my memory but I got nothing. I _probably_ liked the bratwurst the best. They are always packed with flavor but not too spicy. *_How about you two?_* *_Wiener Schnitzel_* - At the time the most often recommended places were Figlmüller, Schnitzelwirt and Pöschl but I skipped all three, Sheena. Different reasons. Did you guys try any of those places? I'm quite sure they are excellent. Anyway, my favorite was Gasthaus Quell in a neighborhood north of Schonbrunn Palace. I also had really great schnitzel at the Naschmarkt at Zur Eisernen Zeit. And of course, tasty schnitzel at my hotel. Not an extensive list I know... *_Typical comment alert_* - I hope you took the short train ride to Bratislava since you were right there.
Tosh T 😄 guess where the only other schnitzel we ate was from? Gasthaus Quell! I loved that one- the only reason we didn’t film it was because it was pork and we wanted to eat the veal one for the video. We both really enjoyed our lunch there. Kasekrainer and Debrizener were our favourite sausages of the trip 🤤 Argh Bratislava- we actually went from Bratislava to Vienna but we hardly left the house for a week as Thomas had bad viral gastro- had to go to the hospital and everything. We only ate out a couple of times and didn’t manage to film. Such a shame 😝
*_Bratislava_* - Thomas was knocked down it sounds like. Damn. 😬 Glad he's on the mend obviously. I really liked Bratislava. It's very dependent on tourists from Vienna or stopover travelers in-between Budapest and Vienna but still a cool, laid back capital city I think.
*_Gasthaus Quell_* - 😂👍 I love you guys. Sincerely. It doesn't surprise me that we end up at the same place. I bet if you filmed there, no one would have peeped that they also found that spot. The entire experience for me was so cool. I got there at an off hour (which is my standard practice) and the waitress took an interest in me as a traveler and talked my ear off as I was trying to leave. Ha. Asked me a ton of questions about U.S. dining etiquette and gave me lessons on how it's done in Austria. Haha. So much fun, Sheena.
I just watched this video on Vienna and the restaurant am Nordpol 3. I was so excited to see that this restaurant is a 10 minute walk from the airbnb we will be staying at in May. I have tried some of your recommendations in Berlin in the past. They were great as well
Do Vienna Right - it is the next most excellent city in Europe (next to Paris) if you do it right. You cannot be an ass in Vienna, like you can be in most other European cities. Vienna still thinks that it is the center of European Culture. Wear a hat. Be respectful. Speak as much German as you know (they are very forgiving if you make the effort.) And then drink and drink - that is how they connect. Sure - do all of the tourist things, and see all of the art - but the best thing about Vienna is the regular Viennese way of life, like coffee houses. It is very special. And Note - one of the best schnizles that you will ever ea is from a fast food place called "Die Schitzle Haus. Have fun (note - Viennese food has a lot of salt in it).
Hi June, thanks so much for watching and we’re so happy you are enjoying our content! We ate so well in Europe- hope you like what we have coming up on the channel. Cheers, Sheena
June Leano big love to you in the UAE, hope your family and friends are okay in the Philippines and the Manila lockdown hasn’t affected them too much. Sending 💕
WOW! Austria is really beautiful. I’ve always wanted to visit there. Thanks for allowing me to experience it vicariously through y’all! Interesting how colder cultures don’t eat much spicy food while warmer cultures seem to love spices. I suppose you eat what you’re surrounded with. Can’t wait to see more. Best wishes. ❤️
So glad you enjoyed this one C Phillips! Vienna was such a beautiful city to explore. Spice and the way it has or hasn’t travelled around the world is fascinating right? It has been a change for our palates what with being in Asia for so long before Europe. Thanks for watching and commenting, hope you like what we have coming up! Cheers, Sheena
So glad you’re enjoying them GMJ! Thanks for watching and commenting! Hope it’s not too long before we can all get back out there again. Cheers, Sheena
We always want our viewers to be able to experience these places for themselves if they visit 😄 thanks for watching mate, hope you enjoyed the video! Cheers, Sheena
Great couple, energetic and loving Vienna's great food traditions. Competant, classically fabby, enjoy awesome, lovely loving kiwi style... Aroha. Love this great, honest love this vid. Nik.
Thanks so much for the kind words mate! Vienna was a beautiful city to explore. Hope you enjoy the kiwi series we have coming up! We’re out and about filming now 😄 Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
That’s so awesome to hear mate! Hope you enjoyed it- I’d definitely return to all of these spots the next time we’re in Vienna. Thanks for watching 😄 Cheers, Sheena
Good lord that tray at the beginning with the sausage platter looked insane! OMG the food there in Vienna is fabulous, fresh and vibrant too. Love your videos so much guys
Thanks so much FitAussieAngie! Oh my goodness that sausage platter was epic 🤤 Thanks for watching this one, so glad you are enjoying the videos! Cheers, Sheena
That was one of the dishes we missed and I was so gutted! BUT it’s gives us a reason to return 😍 Thanks for watching and commenting mama mia, hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Sheena
We absolutely loved the weiner schnitzel restaurant you guys dined at. Such a cozy atmosphere and great food! Loved this tour and can’t wait to see more as Vienna is one of our favorite cities outside the U.S.
It was super local- we loved it! The staff were so friendly and everyone just looked like they were having a wonderful evening and eating super well. Only one video filmed in Vienna this time- it was too expensive for us to stay longer so had to zip in and out!
Chasing a Plate - Thomas & Sheena that is too bad you couldn’t stay longer as there are so many amazing cafes and restaurants and small little shops to explore. But is indeed expensive (especially hotels) just like our hometown of NYC. We were actually very surprised about how much we loved the city as we initially had planned on staying just a short while and then going to Bratislava which is considerably cheaper...but we absolutely loved Vienna so much that we canceled our trip to Bratislava and instead stayed 5 days in Vienna 💕
Impressive. Never heard of that platter with the Käsekreiner, bread, etc. By looking at the Leberkässemmel, color-wise it looks a bit different from the one in Bavaria, Germany. In Bavaria (Munich) it is traditionally eaten with a sweet mustard. You can of course also get it with any other mustard. A little tidbit, it is only called a Wiener Schnitzel if it is made from veal. Any other meat it is "just" a Schnitzel. The breading is so light and airy, because you don't pat it down, (first a light coating of flour, then beaten egg and then in finely milled breadcrumbs) and it then needs to swim in Butterschmalz (Ghee) in a pan, NEVER in a fryer!
Indeed! We ate a lot of other schnitzel- pork and chicken mainly. Very tasty indeed but we had to share the classic Wiener schnitzel in this video- it would be wrong not to! Thanks for watching and commenting wmf831. Hope you enjoyed the video! Cheers, Sheena
Leberkäse does not taste the same in Austria. In Germany it tastes the same as Leberaufstrich. Thats not at all the fact in Austria. Its more airy and faty. Also Austrian do not fry the Schnitzel in Butterschmalz. I must say i didnt like the butterschmalz at all. Austrians mostly fry it in sunflower oil or frying oil. Also we dont add any sauce on our schnitzels. 😅 We always serve Kartoffelsalat, sometimes even dip in it, some people eat it with jam or Ketchup.
How fantastic...Kaffee Haus with Streudel! The best in Vienna. Love the architecture and how everyone is on bicycles even in the bitter cold. Strong and bitter is the perfect description Sheena for Viennese coffee. I always love how you always show the popular and famous teas everywhere you go! Great time and dishes...great job!!! Love and hugs.
So happy you liked this one Jo! Argh those coffeehouses were fantastic- I could have just hung around in them all day drinking coffee, eating and reading. Especially in that cold weather. Vienna was such a lovely city. Thanks for watching and commenting 😘 Cheers, Sheena
We do 😍 it’s an AWESOME job! We’re stuck in lockdown back home in NZ at the moment and can’t wait for the moment when we can get back out there and film again! Thanks for watching Bill. Hope you’re having a great weekend. Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate You guys have a very nice channel and your videos are very entertaining, keep up the good work! I've already watched 5 of them. Also, I'm curious to know if you've gotten to Portugal yet, but it's a surprisingly awesome food culture and one of the best things to eat is called a Pastel de nata--if you haven't gotten there yet I can't wait to watch the videos of it.
Thanks so much Lisa! We loved our short visit to Vienna. I’m still dreaming about that apple strudel 🤤 Thanks for watching and commenting 🤗 Cheers, Sheena
Leo's Würstelstand is on the "Gürtel", which seperates the inner (1-9) from the outer districts (10-23), so I would hardly describe its location as the "suburbs of Vienna" :D From there, there's actually way more Vienna (population as well as area) going out of town than into town. Still, it was a great video (love your enthusiasm) and your choice of eateries was very good!
Awesome vid! Thanks for choosing not the classical Viennese (Schnitzel-) restaurants in the 1st district like the Figlmüller(s) or Puerstner, which are mostly overrun by tourists. Great Schnitzel there, but I prefer restaurants like the Am Nordpol 3 for the less stereotypical ambience. The Augarten nearby is great for some digestion walk afterwards. *lol* Greetings from Vienna!
Hi mate, thanks for watching! We had such a wonderful time exploring your city- although it wasn’t long enough! We love the more local restaurants and these spots were fantastic. Everyone was so friendly at the schnitzel restaurant. Hope we can return one day soon to beautiful Vienna! Cheers, Sheena
You could have joined us Christer Häll and there would have been more than enough to go around 😆 Thanks for watching this one mate, hope you enjoyed it. Cheers, Sheena
Really?! That’s cool! Bet it was great to get some food from the outside world 😝 Thanks for watching and commenting, hope you’re safe and healthy! Cheers, Sheena
All food favorites of mine! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😋 I literally wanted to jump into the screen and eat it all with you, especially the weiner schnitzel and potato salad! 😋😋
🤗🙌👊 mmmmm that schnitzel and potato salad- what a combo! A total comfort food type of day. Thanks for watching and commenting 5cats 2kids! Cheers, Sheena
I would say the most common Leberkäse the locals (including myself) like is: Käse-Leberkäsesemmel It adds cheese to it like the cheese sausage you ate at the Würstelstand. But with no sauce whatsoever. In fact I know not a single person who adds a sauce to a Leberkäsesemmel ^^ Oooh almost got an heart attack watching you squeeze that lemon over that lovely schnitzel. You are supposed to put it directly onto the schnitzel and slightly push it down. It has to keep the crispiness. Lovely video, greeting from Vienna
You mean put the slice of lemon onto the schnitzel?! Will make sure to do that next time! Thanks for watching and commenting Heichi and for the info about the Leberkäse! Wishing you a merry Christmas. Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate Thank you, same to you and a happy new year. Yes, put that lemon onto the schnitzel and "squeeze" it softly with your fork. The breading should not get soaking wet but it adds the flavor.
We loved filming this one. So much great food. That is so great you’re going. You’ll have a brilliant time and some really neat food. Thanks so much for watching. Cheers, Thomas 😀
Food glorious food!! My eyes are bigger than my belly just watching. The small intimate, cosy places are just a dream. Thanks for giving us the "full experience".💕
So happy you enjoyed this one Brilliant But Blue. We loved all the cosy cafes and neighbourhood restaurants in Vienna. Our kind of places! Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
Hi Daisy! Thanks so much for your lovely message 😍 We’re so happy to be back in Europe filming- it’s great to have a different pace of filming and the change in food is brilliant. And the winter! Loving being cold 😄 So happy this video brought back great memories of Austria for you 💕 I hope we can return to Germany to film more soon! Thanks for watching and commenting. Big love! Cheers, Sheena
Hi M Shetty, Thomas got viral gastro which stymied our trip a bit 😝 but we’re heading back to Poland to film more soon! Thanks for watching. Cheers, Sheena
So happy you liked this one Irene! It was such a fun city to explore- besides the food we especially loved the Hundterwasser buildings in Vienna 😍 Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
What a beautiful city! Everything you ate ranks high on my comfort food scale. Oddly. I was first introduced to wienerschnitzel in Uruguay, where it's known as milanesa, but it has the same flavors and thinly pounded meat as the Austrian classic. Perfect for a chilly, rainy day...thanks for taking me along!
Uruguay! When were you there MsKestrela? We have fond memories of that place. This was a total comfort food kind of a day 😄 Thanks for watching and commenting on this one. Cheers, Sheena
Wow...I really liked you guys...good delivery and wonderful descriptions of the food etc...I follow a lot of food travellers ...and you are pretty good...well done...cheers
That sausage platter with all those noises of pleasure is actual Food Porn right there, even made me lower the volume just in case someone gets confused LOL. Great content!
😂😂😂 Thanks for watching mate! That was a serious platter. Would love to get back to Austria one day to see more of the country. Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate My grandpa was Austrian, so I always wanted to visit. Austrian food is comfort food that my mother used to make for me when growing up. I really cannot wait to go! Cheers and thanks for the great work! Agustin
Thanks for watching mate. We loved our visit. It was the first time for both of us and we really enjoyed the city and the food. Well worth a visit. Cheers, Thomas 😀
A treat you guys aren't old enough to have experienced first hand- it was popular in the 60s and early 70s when I was a kid- is the Sachertorte, which was created in the Hotel Sacher in Wien. Basically a chocolate cake with a layer of jam in the middle, but describing it as that does not do it true justice. Unfortunately, the Sacher Hotel is closed temporarily due to COVID, and probably would have been when you were there last year. If you like creamy liqueurs, try Mozart. Rum cream and milk chocolate- and there's even a dark chocolate version. And Austrian.
I remember stroking over the Sachertorte recipe in one of my Mum’s cookbooks as a kid. $903 we can get to Hotel Sacher one day! Thanks for watching and commenting- hope you enjoyed this video. Cheers, Sheena
Hi. the wiener schnitzel's meat look so pale. Are you sure it was veal? Veal is red meat, normally gets darker. I also prefer the veal wiener schnitzel. And the potato salad's amazing.
Thanks for coming along with us guys! 😍 Vienna was such a fun city to explore and mmm that apple strudel 🤤 Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
😍 what a city to live in Eric Forsberg. Thanks for watching this one- we’re glad it brought back good memories for you. What do you miss most about the city? Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate ,, - I loved "Cafe Central" because i felt like i went back in time when I was there - - I loved the Springtime Austrian wine garden Heurigens with their fresh 'Gruner Weltner" and their broomstick on the gate to say the wine was ready - I loved the many works of artistic architecture by Frederick Hundertwasser which was like a magical fairy land all across the city - I loved the snow on Stephan's Dome, the ice on the cobblestones nearby, and the Plague Pillars spread throughout the city. I loved the drunken nights in the Ratskellers and the KaseKrainer that followed at midnight on the cold cold street while we were going home - , and I loved the incredible museums of art holding the many works by Klimt and Bruegel that seemed to be everywhere else in the city as well. And I loved the small Hapsburg parchment menu for a 19th century banquet, displayed behind glass at the Hofburg (the building where Adolf Hitler gave his famous speech about how Austria was actually not its own country) . And I loved the cheep 'standing-room only' opera plats I got at the "Stats-oper and the Volkes oper' because all of the wonderful productions it brought to me for the price of a sandwich. And I loved the huge beer garden in "Praterstern" that had the best Eisbein I have ever tasted (cured pork hock), - and I fell magically in loved with the Vienna Woods that felt like a Strauss Waltz into my very soul (because the bus played his music the whole time). And most of all, I loved that i had to buy a hat and gloves before i could walk the streets as a respectable man, even in 1996. Yes - I loved living in Vienna, the heart of the civilized Western World.
Yea totally Alison! I feel like we were so overwhelmed by how big the platter was that we couldn’t even take it all in and function properly 🤣 thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed the video 😍 Cheers, Sheena
Meat loaf looked like somewhere between pate and terrine but then when you looked close it kinda looked like luncheon meat. That burnt end when the lady served your sandwich looked divine!
It was exactly like luncheon Selina! Thomas loved that sandwich- wolfed it down so quick I hardly got a look in 😆 Thanks for watching and commenting on this one 😄 Cheers, Sheena
😆😆😆 hope you had a snack on hand mate! Gosh we ate well in Vienna. Hope we can return to see more of the country! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
I am traveling to Vienna in a week’s time and now I’m so excited to try all these foods. Wish I were traveling with someone though, I’m not a huge fan of solo travel so I’m over here checking out tons of videos about Vienna hoping to have the real Vienna experience! Thanks for this!!
I reckon you’ll have an amazing time Phe- I loved how Vienna was filled with gorgeous coffee shops and more casual eateries where you’d feel totally comfortable as a solo traveller in between your sightseeing and wandering of the city. Enjoy every second! Thanks for watching! Hope this video gave you some ideas 😍 Cheers, Sheena
The apple strudel you got looked so amazing! Could almost smell the cinnamon coming from it. Hope you guys also had a chance to try the apple strudel from Aida. We loved their original shop with their iconic pink neon signage.
Chasing a Plate - Thomas & Sheena oh yes definitely save room for Aida’s strudel next time and see if you can have it warm as it tastes even better that way!
I know a lot of locals who can't stand Aida. Everything they sell is way sweeter than average and usually doesn't really represent the respective dish well.
I hope you had a Stigl beer with your Käsekrainer. I love your videos, you always make an effort to speak the native tongue and you avoid the Tourist traps, the perfect travellers in my eyes, keep it up! Diolch Yn Fawr!
Thanks so much for your lovely message Aeron Jones! We’re so happy to have like minded travellers as part of our community. Thanks for watching and commenting on this one- we’re so stoked you’re enjoying our content. We would love to get to Wales to film too- will save those pennies and hopefully get there soon! Is it bad to say I'd love to eat every single morsel of all these dishes???!!!! 😂 😂 This is way too mouthwatering to watch while I'm at work but I'll do my best 😂 😂
I have to say even though I am not a person for sweet items I have to say that Apple strudel looked yummy 😋and of course the schnitzel 😋 Nothing else to say only another awesome video love from 🇮🇪☘️😘
The Apple strudel was something else. So good 😋 loved filming this one and all the dishes we had. Really special. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Cheers, Thomas 😀
Jeeeez, you've obviously done some great research in advance because those are all very traditional meals - especially Leberkässemmel!! Btw a couple years back I lived like 50 feet away from Würstelstand Leo lmao. Much love from Vienna, happy you've had a great time!
😍 it would be torture for us living that close- we’d visit it waaaaay too often 😆 So happy you enjoyed this video mate! We loved out the in Vienna and can’t wait to return one day soon. Hey guys, enjoy Vienna the most beautiful of capital cities. Please check out SIEBEN STERNER BRAU. It’s a micro brewery and restaurant. It’s right next door to the British Consul.
Hi Stephen, thanks so much for watching and for that recommendation! Popping it on the list for next time as we had such a short visit this time round. We loved Vienna- it is truly stunning. Cheers, Sheena
😄😆😄😆 hope you have a snack on hand when watching mate! We are very happy to be back in Europe filming. Hope you enjoy what we have coming up. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
I once heard that the name leberkäse(livercheese) comes from the fact that it looks like a "laib käse" (loaf of cheese) due to it looking similiar. And from then on the name evolved to leberkäse.This is only the legend and we don't know if it's true.
Awesome! We love learning stuff like this whether it’s fact or fiction it’s neat to get some context about the names and stories behind the foods we eat. Thanks for watching this one, hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena

They were great as well
Fabulous! We loved that restaurant 😍 Have a great time in that wonderful city. Eat all the things! Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate thank you. Are you making any new videos? I only see some a few months old. Hope to see more soon

Heading to Vienna tomorrow so this video couldn’t have come at a better time! Great video guys it all looks delicious 😍
😍😍😍 you lucky thing! Have a wonderful time and eat all the things 🤗 Thanks for watching and commenting on this one Jess Temby. Cheers, Sheena
@@Estenberg I get all the other things, but why should you wear a hat while being in Vienna? :D

James and Karla fabulous! Love when you just instantly connect with a city like that 🤗
What is the name of the restaurant please?
Nice video,come to Romania next✌️
Would love to get to Romania one day soon! Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena

I LOVE AUSTRIA .So very AWESOME video .Thank you .GOOD LUCK to you both🌹🌹
😍 we’re so glad you enjoyed this one! Thank you for watching and commenting 😄 Cheers, Sheena
We always serve Kartoffelsalat, sometimes even dip in it, some people eat it with jam or Ketchup.

Wonderful video and delicious food.
Thanks so much Lisa! We loved our short visit to Vienna. I’m still dreaming about that apple strudel 🤤 Thanks for watching and commenting 🤗 Cheers, Sheena
Leo's Würstelstand is on the "Gürtel", which seperates the inner (1-9) from the outer districts (10-23), so I would hardly describe its location as the "suburbs of Vienna" :D
From there, there's actually way more Vienna (population as well as area) going out of town than into town.
Still, it was a great video (love your enthusiasm) and your choice of eateries was very good!
So glad you enjoyed it mate. Wish we’d had longer to explore the city! Hope we can return one day. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
Haha, I noticed that, too. But they did find the right places to eat, you have to give them that :)
*lol*
Greetings from Vienna!

🤗🙌👊 mmmmm that schnitzel and potato salad- what a combo! A total comfort food type of day. Thanks for watching and commenting 5cats 2kids! Cheers, Sheena
I would say the most common Leberkäse the locals (including myself) like is: Käse-Leberkäsesemmel
It adds cheese to it like the cheese sausage you ate at the Würstelstand.
But with no sauce whatsoever. In fact I know not a single person who adds a sauce to a Leberkäsesemmel ^^
Oooh almost got an heart attack watching you squeeze that lemon over that lovely schnitzel.
Try the Leberkäse with cheese, there are several variations. There is a normal one, than the cheesy one and one that is a little spicy. 🥺
I want to try all the variations!! 😍 thanks for watching and for the recommendations!

Food porn! A very appropriate description. Watching delicious foods definitely floats my boat!
