This is called "wet brining" there is also a "dry brining" method depending on the type of meat you are preparing. The purpose of this method is that the salt that is combined with the warm/hot water helps the tissue to breakdown. See meat tissues when cooked contract, and in turn the "juice" are released causing the meat to be tough. But the wet brine when cooked the meat actually expands, and releases the sodium that has been absorbed during the brining process. This helps the meat(s) to be tender when cooked. I highly suggest adding spices to the brine this way the meat has more of a rich flavor. But yes, very good video. (The information I provided comes from my father who is a certified chef.) Bon appetite!
Thank you 🙂
Thanks for sharing 👍
Why would you have to to sift the flour ?
That looks so delicious, can you come to my house for a day 😂
H&
I found a recipe on youtube very close to this the only difference is they switched the hot water for simmering the chicken in hot milk or buttermilk and used the same seasonings until the chicken was half way cooked then use the same coating as this and it was the juiciest and yummiest fried chicken I have ever had! 😋😋
Sounds fantastic, I'll have to try the hot milk or buttermilk, probably the buttermilk though because I think it will give the chicken a more rich flavor compared to the milk. Thanks for sharing.
@@allanheinrich7184 I've only tried it with milk but I will do the buttermilk, I've heard its even better. I'm sure you will NOT be disappointed! Taste better than any Fried Chicken I every had my picky eating kids loved it. 😁😁
@@Breezy-bv9teyes try butter milk it will make the chicken more crispy.
@@allanheinrich7184Try it with butter milk. It will make the chicken more crispy.
I’ve marinated chicken in buttermilk but never simmered it in hot buttermilk. Not sure that would make a difference.
evenprod, comment vous avez pu nous donner tous ces palpitations dans un même épisode ☺☺☺ je ne regrette pas d'avoir visualiser cet film qui réunit les réalités de notre pays. Chapeau à vous🎉🎉
My favorite part is when you poured salt in the water! How did you do that so gracefully? It was amazing! My new favorite internet cook! So original and brave!
I've used every different cut of a chicken and it comes out juicy inside and crispy on the outside and I 100 percent attribute this to the marinade and not over frying the chicken. Fry to an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit and rest the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes before serving. Mmmmmm !
So much better and cheaper than kfc
@@notofthisworld7777yes kfc fell off. Very over priced. Home cooked chicken is better. Lol
Perfect recipe, thanks for sharing yummy
This recepe looks delicious. Good for a Sunday lunch with a glass of red wine.
This fried chicken recipe looks so delicious; it looks simple and easy to prepare. The paprika made a difference to give a vibrant color to the fried chicken. Well dine! 👍 😊
Will be giving this a try tonight for sure!

I make mine pretty much the same but I have to add onion powder to balance out the garlic powder and add more flavor. But great recipe. ❤
Yummy I am going to make this chicken looks sooooo good and easy tha.njs❤❤
Y'all youngins new to this, welcome to the club. Been taught to do this in the early 80s. However, we season the meat and flour
Amen. That's how we do it in Nashville too.
Good fried chicken doesn't need any sauces
While I agree, that sauce did look nice.
Exactly!
Actually so many views due to the title
Noticed how easily manipulated people are
Nothing new nothing special nothing only way I cook chicken
Thank goodness I hardly eat chicken but to brine the chicken or meat is just not something I would do
To marinade the chicken for a few hours maybe..depending on your taste you can marinade it with anything you like
The wet/dry coating technique can be done in many ways
The sauce is erm 😐
We LOVE fried chicken .I have been cooking for over 60 years and make very good fried chicken so you keep up the good work and know you are teaching young cooks your skill. 😊❤❤ OH I'm watching from California USA

Wow, looks really good, been looking for a good fried chicken recipe!
Thank you for sharing
Nice. Use buttermilk instead of water in your wet batter. Out of brine, go dry then wet then BACK to dry pressing hard on each piece. You'll have a much better result with this.
Milk straight in to grease burns. Just use buttermilk to marinate. Going back and forth from dry to wet batter just destroys the chicken. Waaaay too much crust. Get your temps right and you won’t have a problem. You’ll have better results that way
I think the real sound of cooking, like when you're chopping stuff, better than are listening music 😊
Thanks man..❤❤❤❤

I will surely try this recipe of yours..
Many thanks man....
Godblessu!!!!
Thank you I really love your recipe
Yummy..in the culinary world we call it brining the chicken , make sure the hot water cools by adding ice.. yummy 😋 it makes chicken moist..
First time seeing sugar used in a brine.?
Just a little it's amazing add thyme, garlic and anything you like 😋
It should cool during the 6 hour marinade without the ice if the 6 hours are spent in the refrigerator and not just sitting out on a counter or something and if the chicken did sit out, I'd be worried about salanoma.
that pesky salanoma
@@allanheinrich7184 you don't let it sit out it goes in the frig the hot water just dissolve. Your cooking the chicken in the hot water..
Exelente esa receta de pollo empanizado me a gustado muchisimo ..

SO DELICIOUS!
No wonder my ‘fried’ chicken never worked when I was young, (40 yrs ago) no one told me about the cornstarch! I gave up trying to make it.
I may have to give this recipe a try.

A must try recipe.
Liked. Shared, and Thank you.
Thank's for the recipe!
Wow yummy yummy 😋🤤
Instead of using the egg flour first coating you can use buttermilk or milk and it tastes great too. Your chicken looks fantastic!
Yummy

Cool

Wow I'll try it.
Awesome ❤
Very nice
I'm leaving this comment regarding one of the first video shots showing such a tiny pan of oil. I have found good deep frying techniques to include a very large heavy pot that can retain the temperature of the oil despite putting several pieces of chicken in.
less oil saves $$$ in these hard times

There aren't any... what's the point that comment? Because, honestly, your comment is the most negative that I've read here.

Good fried chicken don 't need sauce, especially that sauce, doesn 't go with it, just wasted time!
Great video! Please… Curl your fingers back when chopping/slicing or you’ll one day lose them!
❤ super
so it should be sitting in that hot boiling water for 6 hours on the counter or in the fridge?
