Some pretty amazing talent. I've been a fan of Gerry Rafferty since the 1970s. Mike & The Mechanics are a great supergroup. May these artists rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️🇨🇦
Forgive me, I have missed the previous series, but, firstly, particularly appreciate the shout-out for Fergie and Paul Young, and secondly, has the truly great James Dewar been included? Talk about and incredible singer who never got the fame and recognition he deserved. Thank you for helping keep all these great musician's name alive.
Billy Connolly was in The Humblebums with Gerry Rafferty. He did say too that Gerry couldn't go on stage without drinking a lot. I all these people rest in peace. They've left their music behind for us to enjoy.
Wow!!!!! I was unaware that Fergie Fredriksen was born in Grand Rapids, MI. Being from Detroit myself, I thought I'd have known that but nope. BTW; Grand Rapids, MI is also where RHCP's Anthony Kiedis was born.
I liked Brian’s voice on Holy Water and the other follow up albums after Paul Rogers left the band. I believe Brian struggled with alcohol, but would like to hear what happened. This is such a great channel. Well done.
Fergie is also remembered for two songs included in the "Can't Stop the Music" soundtrack: "The Sound of the City" and "Samantha". Maybe some people don't recall that because he used the moniker of David London.
My metal band VILE got to play with the Plasmatics at 1st Avenue in Mpls,Minnesota. Wendy-O is a hero of mine. My dogs name is Wendy-O....
Not much attention was given on their deaths, but their fans know them, and their music lives on.
Thank you for remembering Elliott Smith, a humble genius who thought like a poet. XO, dear Elliott. Miss you always, love you always.

I got a double CD of the Plasmatics' Metal Priestess and Beyond the Valley of 1984. A lot of great songs there.

Fergie didn’t sing lead on Stranger In Town (that was David Paich), but he had a big hit with Angel Don’t Cry.

Maybe you've already covered Brian Howe of Bad Company- it's a travesty the way his passing was treated by the band, especially Paul Rogers
I loved his work on Nugent's Penetrator album as well. It seemed like he disappeared after Bad Co, Like he couldn't capitalize on all those hits.
I know nothing about this but would love to learn what all happened..what went down...
@@Scott_From_Maine Likewise here. "Tied Up In Love" & "Go Down Fighting" r amongst my faves from "Uncle Ted" featuring Brian Howe on lead vocals.

Country singer Eddie Rabbit died around the same time as Wendy O. Williams to little fanfare. He was pretty big in the late 70's and early 80's.

Not to beliitle any of these artists, but the only true "Big" one would be Gerry Rafferty.
Its not amazing any more how many suffer w depression.
