Anthony I have found the generative expand to also be a great tool. I recently had to do restorations on old photos that were not standard aspect ratios. Using the crop tool and generative expand seem to work really well to extend out edges to 5x7 or 8x10 ratios.

I do have one question, is there a way to change the coloe of the text to better match the background of the image?
Great video, thanks. I wonder if there's a limitation number of clicks when you use generative fill.
You could also blur the background slightly to pop out the subject.
I had a good experience using a reference image in Firefly, the results were much more realistic, than without. Trying to add people is not working very well yet. It’s seems that the entire image generated is low res.
personally I think had you selected the background layer when you used the lasso tool the generative fill whould have given you shadows..
Looks like the update now picks up the base layer. Other iterations failed if you had the last generated layer selected when you generated the new layer.

My challenge is that the penguins have soft shadows so it didn't take into account the sun
Anthony, Something to be aware of that impacted my being able to run this new beta version. After upgrading my previous beta version to 25.9.0 I discovered it would not initialize, would error out and then sends a crash report to Adobe. After trying numerous work arounds I finally used the Shift Click method of starting Photoshop and found that it would start normally but as you may know this means none of the Plug-ins work like Topaz. Since the Topaz products are integral to my workflow I am unable to use 25.9.0 until this is resolved. Have you had this problem?
6:51 How about in the Generate field typing "Remove object from man/person's left hand" after selecting him or just that disrracting object?
Can you do some tests about how slow it gets when you run out of credits?!
I think Adobe should spend more time on other improvements.

Agreed. Sadly, they have to chase the latest fad which is AI generated images. Hopefully, with time they'll become passe.
@@kencawley3121 Totally agree. They have to because other people are. I've never used Gen Fill, never will do.
IMO, Generative Fill should be used as a tool to enhance your workflow and not to create images from nothing. I often use as a shortcut for what would normally take me hours to achieve.
It would be nice if Adobe would allow users to remove the foreign language fonts.
The biggest problem I had with Gen fill is if I have a model in studio and I spend so much time making sure the selection is 100% then I invert selection generate the background, if the models hands are outside her body gen fill will really mess up the fingers even though it was not part of the gen fill selection it's on the inverse side that really annoys me as I have to always find images where models hands are inside her body so gen fill dose not mess with them it's like generative fill goes on the other side of the selection with hair and hands does not matter how good you made your selection 😂
A good test of the new features would be a side-by-side comparison against previous version using the same image, same prompts.
but now i can't have the generative fill interact with MY IMAGE by going the quick mask, filling with a percent of gray, leaving quick, put in my prompt and watch the generative fill INTERACT with MY IMAGE. I SHURE HOPE ADOBE DOES NOT TAKE AWAY THIS FEATURE as they have with the Beta version

I just wish that with every iteration, they don't change the UI; I just get used to how things work and then have to re-learn how to use it!

i suppose it is not cheating, but it is drawing not photography. but still part of the 'It's OK to LIe' culture
