I think Amber is officially hooked
I’m hoping for 3-4 episodes per week! 😂
She was officially hooked by episode 3 of season 1 tbh 😅
@@intendedexpression6609😂😂😂Amber was hooked after the first episode, by the third, she was addicted 🤣😭🤣....
And I think we love it! 🥴 #instigators 😂🖤
Oooh, she dropped another GoT episode ! 2 in a night.
bronn is one of my fave characters...i feel he's the closest to regular people and he's hilarious
The actress who plays Cersei refused to be in any scenes with him bc they used to date and apparently had a baaaaaad breakup lol
24:50 Shoutout to Lena Headey. The best written story would be boring without a despicable villain. She is marvelous in her profession and definitely didn't get enough credit for it.
She was Queen Gorgo in "300". Yes, big fan of her in everything she does.
@@eclectrickery8077 She was also my second favorite version of Sarah Connor, after Linda Hamilton, when she starred in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"
@@kharma7755another good show that covid submarined.
@@violetvalkyrie476 That show was way way way before COVID .
“Iron” is a reference to the sword (made of iron). Paying the “iron price” means killing someone with a sword and then taking what you want from them.
I always read it to mean blood, which is rich in iron. That said, the end result is the same, paying the iron price means taking what you want through violence rather than purchasing it.
That's how I win my no name brand macaroni and cheese.
@@xarkosDoubt they knew about iron in blood mate 😂
@woahblackbettybamalam George RR Martin certainly knows about it, and little things like whether or not such scientific concepts are known to the people of that fictional world is a matter only of what's convenient for the story. In the real world we've known it since 1713, it's easy enough to believe that in this pseudo Renaissance era they may already be aware of it as well.
@@colinwilson4609 you refuse to pay the Kraft price
Technically the rightful heir is Stannis Baratheon. Robert's oldest brother. Given that Robert has no trueborn children, all of his titles have to pass to the next legitimate male in his family, which is Stannis the eldest of his two brothers
You are flying through this show.
Mad respect.
Your quick updates keeps me checking in everyday.
❤
Keep them coming Amber.. you're killin it!!!
Everyone has a crush on jon snow. Lol
You know nothing.
The iron Islanders are like the Vikings, seafearers and raiders. They worship the Drowned God, a different religion from the mainland of Westeros. When they say they pay "the iron price" it means they stole something from someone they killed, as opposed to "the Gold price" which means the item was paid for.
Love the reactions Amber, keep them coming.
What Greeny said. The "iron" Balon speaks of is the iron in a sword.
Should have read further. Thank you I was trying to explain as well but you did it better 😊
Also gold is a soft metal for jewellery (and computers, but I don't think they have any of those in Westeros). Iron is the metal that is forged into steel for swords (and cars, but I don't think Westeros has those either). Balon removing Theon's chain is symbolic.
I can't believe how much I have been waiting this. 😂
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I needed this today. Happy Friday Amber & Fam!! 🙂🥰
The man who found Arya and saved her, disguising her as a boy, didn't hapoen to fund her in the crowd. Ned Stark saw her the second he entered the square sbd sent him to protect her. If you go back, you can see Ned see Arya.
Before the Targaryans each of the 7 kingdoms had their own king. They were systematically defeated. The King in the North took the knee to protect his people. So the Targaryans became the royal family by battle. Then Robert became the king the same way. If they went all the way back neither any of Roberts kids, nor Dany would sit the throne, but Rob Stark would be King in the North. Hope this helps lol.
"EEWW!" LMAO! Poor Amber. I'm so scared that she is going to be a changed woman by the end of this show😢😮😅
💯 lol
Stannis has the best claim to the throne. Joffrey is not Robert's son and none of Robert's bastards were recognized by the king let alone legitimized... so the crown should pass to his next oldest brother. Of course, it could be argued that since Robert usurped the throne, Dany is the true heir to the throne.
25:00 she was the queen in “300” also
The wolves the Stark children have bonded with are dire wolves which are just bigger, meaner, and more loyal than regular wolves. Thats the short and dirty version.
I can’t wait for you to see where this story goes!
I am so excited for you with what you are about to experience this season. Because of you I just binged the entire series again 😮😂
0:51 It wasn't luck. Last season Ned spotted Arya at the statue of Baelor I and a few moments later was next to Yoren while being dragged to the stage. He yelled "Baelor" at him, and Yoren found her from there.
Stanis has the most valid claim. Gentry was born out of wedlock and because of the king's adultery.
Yeah, I just came here to say this. Being that Gentry is a bastard, the rightful heir would be Stanis.
Yes but that doesn't mean that he would be a good king. He clearly makes questionable decisions. Blood does not ensure competency. Rob or Renly would have made a better king.
@violetvalkyrie476 I'm not going by what would be best. Stanis has the strongest claim. In a perfect world, Stanis would be king, and with no male heirs, Renley would be next in line. Homosexual men have fathered children, so hopefully he would have an heir and a spare
@23:56 I agree with Amber, it's Daenerys!
I just saw the actor that plays stainnis in another movie called the first Knight starring Richard gere and Sean Connery you should definitely react to that movie
Iron is a reference to steel, to swords and weapons. Paying for something with gold means buying it, with iron is a way of saying you fought and killed and looted the things you got. Lots of references to iron. Kind of a metaphor at times as well especially from them Viking-like Greyjoys
I'm loving your reactions, Lady Amber. Keep them coming!
The fan girl crush on Jon will only get worse 😂
Jon is definitely a likeable character but the only criticism I would have is that he bases all of his decisions on honor, not practicality. It serves him well most of the time, but not all the time. I love that aspect of his character arc. The way that you see him mature and realize that everything is not that simple.
"They're in such a dire...situation," One might even claim that they are in Dire Straits 😁 Loving the ride-along, Amber!
Amber wearing her Basgiath sweatshirt while watching GoT is giving me liiiiiiife
The Dire Wolves are real dog/wolf hybrids. Smokescreen channel had an interview of the owner several years ago. The made them look much bigger, but they’re real.
When Theon's father asked if he paid iron or gold, he was asking if Theon bought it (gold) or took it by force (iron).
Amber.. this series doesn’t take long to get into your bloodstream and become a part of you…enjoy it. And keep up the excellent work!!
Amber, the man found Arya at the statue because Ned Stark told him "Baelor". Ned's last act before climbing the platform to his death was to save Arya.
The most valid claim is Stannis' since gendry was born out of wedlock
the man didnt find her in the crowd , ned stark told him were to look before he got his head chped
Iron Price - they fought and killed and bled for it
Gold Price - they bought it
You will learn about the old gods and the new in Histories and lore ❤😊
I know it was in a past episode, but I wish J was in the room when Dany’s brother got his “crown”. 😂
Rakharo, Dany's bloodrider is still alive in the books. The actor was cast in World War Z and the shooting schedule conflicted with GoT... so they killed him off rather than recast.
Yay! I am here 20sec. in I am here for it ! I am looking forward to this very much .The blacksmith's name is Gendry the only living son left of Robert . I really like Arya's confidant with Gendry.... they both are solid good characters . Thank you for this reaction Amber I enjoyed this one and the questions it left you with
Video quality and sound so much better now 💜 love your reactions girl!
I will not give spoilers, I will not give spoilers, I will not give spoilers... :
Watching you made me rewatch it. I rewatch it on my own and then watch your vids when they drop lol keep em coming. Also the "Iron Price" is taking it by force. Killing and taking it. The Greyjoys are supposed to take whats theirs not buy it "Gold".
Favorite characters: Arya, Tyrion, Varys, Bronn.
Your reactions to this series have been great !
THANK YOU for watching 2 episodes! I love re-watching thr series with you. It's still so good! The story the actors, the costumes and the locations are all amazing
It's amazing how good Lena Headey is as an actress. Normaly I absolutely love the characters she plays. But even having a crush on her, she still managed to make me despise Cersie. That takes serious talent.
If it helps at all, you can think of the religions this way:
The Old Gods = the nature gods of the ancient Northern Europeans before they converted to Christianity.
The New Gods or The Seven = Christianity, or the new, more complex religion of the more "civilized" people of Westeros, which has mostly, but not completely replaced the Old Gods religion. The Seven can be seen as similar to the Trinity. Instead of three aspects of God they have seven.
The Lord Of Light = I've seen some people say this is like Zoroastrianism ... or another more "advanced" and complex religion, but with more intensity and mysticism compared to The Seven which has become very established, settled, and bureaucratic like the Medieval Catholic Church.
So Ned Stark worshipped the Old Gods of his native North, while his wife Catlyn worshipped The Seven, the new gods. That's been mentioned in passing. Stannis has signed up with the Lord Of Light, (though he doesn't seem sincere about it), the religion of the witchy lady we've just recently met, also of the son of Stannis' right hand man Ser Davos, who was in the beach scene recruiting his friend the pirate.
"There is only one god ... and his name is Death" 😜🪦⚰💀
@@valbonney2575 Of course! How could I forget *that* religion?
@@apulrang I guess you were thinking "Not today!" 😜
There are other gods but mentioning them would be considered spoilers lol but, yeah…
The Greyjoys motto is we do not sow means they take what they want
Lol you are cruising through GOT! Knew you'd be instantly hooked and want to binge 😂
Little Finger aka Middle Finger aka.Snake is a good liar, that’s why most people think they can believe him.
Girl is hooked, lol. Trust your instincts
Has she noticed that Cersei was also Leonidas’s wife in 300 yet?
Un-aliving all of Robert's bastards is what anyone in Joffrey's position would have done. He knows they have better claim to the throne than him.
When Theon's father talks about "Iron" or the "Iron price" he's talking about the sword (I.E killing someone and taking what was his)
I’m waiting for you to start calling Lord Baelish Middle finger.
You’re doing great Amber.
Loving all of your reactions
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good Monday Amber
The blacksmith boy is named Gendry.
They value iron more because it is hard and hey can make swords, other weapons, and ships. Gold is soft, malleable, and more for 'fashion' than strength. Hence by his father, something 'shiny for a whore'. Theon Greyjoy had been taken by Ned Stark as a 'guarantee' that he (the father) would not rebel or cause any more trouble to the northern kingdoms.
Joffrey is somewhat sadistic. Probably because Cersei let him get away with much as a young boy. They also want to insinuate that it's because of the inbreeding of the parents.
Stop and think carefully, who is more likely to be out in the snow at night?
I love how much you’re into the show! Just a note - Robb Stark was sorta named after Ned’s bestie Robert Baratheon but he’s just Robb, not “Robert.”
At this point in the show Daenerys and Stannis have the most rightful claim to the throne.
2:47 YOU could beat Joffrey in hand-to-hand combat!
One note on the Greyjoys, yes they value iron more than gold, but not necessarily the iron wrought from the earth, though that too has value as the primary component of the steel used to forge weapons. But more often they mean blood, rich in iron. In other words, unlike the Lanisters and others who buy what they want through wealth and diplomacy, the Greyjoys take what they want. The iron price is the spilling of blood, yours or your foes.
Jaqen H'ghar is 1 of the best non-main characters in the series. I would love to see his character continue his storyline if they were ever to do a sequel to the series.
I'm glad you saw thru Little Finger, he's such a weasel.
All of the Greyjoy's are craptastic too eventhough I think Yara is kinda cute 😁
I don't know if anyone ever mentioned this before but going back to Ned Stark's death, the actor that played him, Sean Bean (his name should rhyme but doesn't) has often portrayed characters in movies & TV that end up dying, so much so that for a time the hashtag Save Sean Bean was actually a thing 😂
Well, I'm off to watch the next episode with you 💋
Hint: Watch the credits not all but some gives insight to some of your questions
In the book Ned didn't actually kill Theon's brothers, if i remember correctly... Theon's brother Maron died in the Siege of Pyke when a tower collapsed on him and his other brother Rodik was slain by Jason Mallister - a bannerman sworn to Catelyn's father Hoster Tully. This was all during Balon Greyjoy's rebellion after Robert became King.
Correct (or something like that) but Balon still blamed Eddard. Just being bitter about a fight *he* started.
Stannis's wife is Lady Selyse Baratheon nee Florent. Sadly, she's a religious zealot as well. But they have a daughter together, Shireen.
Yes, Amber is hooked 😂
This series has become my fav yt series by far.
it really doesn't matter who has the most valid claim to the throne. The throne belongs to whoever can take it and hold it. in the game of thrones, you win or you die.
That's not entirely true. The reason Robert took the throne instead of Ned was Robert had Targaryen blood.
Even ned stark said stannis is the king
The iron price is when u use your sword (made of iron) to take what you want
13:17
Of all of the Lannisters, Tierion is the most decent one of them
Iron means earned,gold means bought
love how jaqen talks
Hey Amber, I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned before, but you really should watch the history and lore videos for each season after you've completed them. So even right now while you're early in season 2 would be a great time to watch the season 1 history and lore video. They fill in a TON of background information about ancient and recent history of Westeros, the different houses, the religious beliefs of people in different regions, the political balance- stuff like that. And what's really cool is they're narrated by different characters from the show, from their perspective. You might choose not to react to those H&L videos, but definitely watch 'em- they will greatly enhance your understanding of the show.
Just be sure to complete each season before watching the corresponding history and lore, otherwise you'll run into spoilers.
I'm loving that you can't wait for the next episode 😂😂
Stanis is the rightful heir given that Robert Barathion didn't have any legitimate children. Gendry can only be an heir if the king legimized him. The present king won't.
Amber is my spirit animal.
Everybody loves Sam.
You mentioned you get pirate vibes from Baleon Greyjoy.
That’s not wrong. His people are a sort of cross between Vikings & pirates, I’d say more Vikings than pirate
They don't call the second book "A Clash of Kings" for nothing!
Hey Amber, just curious. Which one of these shows you're binging has you hooked the most?
Welcome to the legions of Jon Snow girlies! Gendry is the blacksmith’s apprentice, and he’s fun to watch. You’re still asking all the right questions, and most (but not all) answers are on the way soonish. Others will have to wait. I am so enjoying this with you! Peace …
Dire wolves r amazing and they were real until they became extinct from disease and climate change. They had hard time competing for food with the growing population of our now largest wolves the gary wolf. Love them. Fight to protect our gray wolves or soon they will be extinct due to humans. Thanx so much, take care, Peace
I can see you're enjoying all the storylines!
Arya'a adventure is just beginning and it's a Hell of a ride. Same with Jon Snow.
Shhh🤐🤐 no spoilers
@@rebelwithoutaclue5693 That wasn't any kind of spoiler, lol
@@brianmcmaster5112 I think I said something about taking notes but I don’t think she caught that
One of my close work friends had a big crush on John Snow and could not watch GoT on Sunday night when the new episodes were released. Every Monday morning I was forbidden from talking about the new episode. I did however tell her every week John Snow died. She was always so annoyed with me.
Iron means stolen by using iron to kill the former owner.
Just keeps getting better 30:15
Okay as far as rights to the throne, Gendry is a bastard. We don't even know if he's Robert's oldest son. I think he probably is, even in the books, but the total number of Robert's bastards was never definitively determined. So either way they'd have a difficult time putting him into the succession. A highborn man can acknowledge his bastards and provide for them, but that doesn't legitimize them, and I don't think Robert knew about Gendry anyway. Even if he had known, he didn't dare legitimize him because he thought Joffrey was his and even though he didn't really like Joff (this is more clear in the books), he couldn't risk angering the Lannisters.
So unless a bastard is legitimized, only trueborn heirs can inherit (and legitimizing a bastard makes him equivalent to trueborn, anyway). So if Robert's supposed kids weren't really his, then next in line are Robert's brothers. Stannis first, then Renly.
Iron price is taken by sword , made by iron
Both Renly and Loras were in season 1. You might remember Loras shaving his chest?
You said they weren't real. It is in our real history, a wolf is the children of a real DireWolf of 13,000 years a ago but a wolf is a wolf! Yes in this World! they were very real ask the Mastodons' oh what Mastodons' their all gone!
The others/white walkers were sleeping for over 9,000 years.
8:03 hint- check the eye color of most of the cast members have blue eyes
The iron price is to fight and take what you want.
Oh I see others have answered already. 😂
Finally I've been waiting for this.
Here we go!!❤❤
On the shelf with the vw bus is that Bobby Hill ???
Stannis is the true heir. His brother was king and had no children through marriage. Bastards don't count.
re: Cersei being a great actress but you hate the character - she's also the queen in the movie 300, don't know if y'all ever reacted to that on your movie channel, but she's a good queen there. ;) And the Gods, there are the Old Gods - the ones the Starks/northerners worship, with the Weirwood trees; the Seven, the ones that most Westerosi worship, with the sept and the high septon and when they talk about the Mother, the Stranger, etc.; the Drowned God that the Iron Islanders worship; Rhollor, the light/fire God that Melissandre (the Red Woman) and Stannis worship. There are probably others in other lands, but those are the main ones you'll encounter in the show.
Jora AKA Friend Zone.
