The game models a galactic republic quite poorly. Sure they were not prepared for war, but they had millions of star systems and lots of money. Lots! As for construction of ships and other weapons, they had at least 1000 times the capacity of CIS. Game wise, this could be modeled in a far larger income and fast production for fighters, tanks and walkers. Clones should be expensive, maybe 10 times more than droids, yet 5 times for effective. However, republican planets did have local militias and other armies, see the gungans. Those could be matched with droids in cost and strength.
Ah, I see. The Republic did have a farther-reaching government, that's for sure. Moreover, it's highly likely its militaristic capabilities followed-suit. However, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't the Republic losing the war quite often? Anyway, yeah, would be nice to see a more nuanced take on the Republic At War mod. But, it is over, I believe, 10 years old now, maybe even more! So, these things weren't taken into consideration back then.
It takes months irl to set up a factory just to produce a rifle. IE the mosin nagants springfield made for russia then russia never bought cause the communists took power. Vehicles take even longer.
Well, that depends on where that money is going. You can look at the Russian-Ukraine War to see how even a major power can hamper itself through corruption and incompetence. It also depends on how much money is spent on things like patrols, infrastructure, social benefits, and other things. All things considered, the Republic may not have had as much money as one might assume.
@@SeeRoosterGaming Not so much as losing, as they were very often on the back foot. You can see that in war a lot; the flow of who is winning switching back and forth. As far as numbers, it seems that a single Jedi General was more or less in command of three venators and 1 acclamator. According to canon, generally 1 legion was under the command of a Jedi General (~9,000 troops), but a General might also command a corpse (x4 legions). Assuming it was the former, we're probably looking at around 960+ Venators and around 320 Acclamators using a lower-end estimate, but it looks as though there were 1,0000 Venators at the decisive Battle over Courscant, so we could be looking at closer to 1,920 to 3,840 ships. That would mean that the climatic battle drew in between 25-50% of the Republic's supply of Venators. Keep in mind that during the initial years of the war, the Republic would have probably had less ships than it did in the latter. So you could have gone from a Jedi General having say, 3 Venators under his command to 6 to even 9. Going with a fairly middle-the-road estimate, we can probably estimate about 2,880 Venators and probably 426 acclamators (they're transport ships and aren't meant to fight, but simply offload troops once a path has been cleared). Overall, you can probably expect that most Jedi Generals had 1 Acclamator, 9,000 troops, and 3 venators in the early parts of the war, which probably changed to 3 acclamators, 27,000 troops, and 9 venators as the Republic shifted to a war footing economy and pumped out more ships and purchased more clones. In other words, the Republic probably tripled its army size during the war, even with losses. Would also make it easier for Palpatine to assume control, since the Republic's army size grew, but the Jedi Order did not grow to accommodate it. Therefore, Palpatine could substitute the growing Jedi command chain with his own as it grew.

Wow nice video, what is the game called? ❤😅
