I’ve owned Gv250 and Gv650 and when everything worked on the bikes they were pretty fun to ride , HOWEVER... the moment the bike have slightest tiny problem it takes enormous amount of time to fix it, or you may never find the part or the solution. In USA HYOSUNG offers ZERO customer support to the owners and it’s pretty much impossible to find a mechanic that would be willing to work on these bikes. So for someone who would rather not spend a lot of $$$ but want to get something that more or less reliable I would suggest to go with Royal Enfield that surprisingly well built and covered by the great warranty with extensive dealer network. Ride safe everyone!
They used to do a 250 years ago ,that got imported into the U.K. before the days of Sinnis .I like the 250 - 400 size bikes ,they are more useful than people give them credit for .If you were to listen to the U.K. motorcycle media ,you would be led to believe you need large ccs & masses of Horse power to enjoy motorcycling or tour the globe .If the bike is as well built as the 125 it should be a gooden & plenty powerful for everyday real world use .What’s not to like nice one Mr Fish 👍
Hello Mr. Fish. I'm a supporter from Korea. First time to see a review on Hyosung bike by the foreigner. FYI, it's called H+yo sung not Hy+o sung. Keep up the good work! Thank you!
Great review. Having owned a Virago 535 in the past I like the mid controls. It looks good and goes well. It's encouraging to see the growth of the smaller capacity bikes and given their affordability hopefully it might wake up the big four to build some similar machines that are equally priced
You must be use to the announcement 'Mind the gap' in your job. Just needs a sticker on the tank saying it. Bloody land rover was worthy of a handpump gesture. Nice little bike but the gap spoils it slightly. Great vlog as always Mr Fish. ✊🐟
I got warned off Hyosung because of electrical issues with them. So would not touch them with a forty foot barge pole. This was by our shop owner who has been in business for years and his father before him.
I'm a wee bit biased; Honda made a 500cc V twin for the Ascot and Shadow back in the 80's. Really nice little motor. So I'd prefer a 500. Now, I do like what they did with the grips and they get the gold medal for the radiator. They did a really nice job with that.
Greeting Fishey, what a nice little bike, it will be interesting to see the price. Remember, if you are up in Scotland, you and your bike are most welcome here. Joe.
I own a Hyosung GV250 from 2007, it was my first bike, the chrome work always sucked so I'm glad to see they gave up on that. I like the look of my bike more and its only 1hp less than this wee beast. My beast is still one of the favourite bikes I've ridden even though i have my DL650, these are just so light, flicky and fun!
I saw a TH-cam video showing a man riding the 125 version all across Europe during lockdown to see his girlfriend. The bike performed really well with regard to reliability.
I quite like it . Other than the " mind the gap" between the seat and tank . I run everything from a Honda Innova to a Honda 1520 Valkyrie and couple of odd ones in between . Sometimes a smaller bike is just the ticket . I quite often hack around on a Jawa 350. Perhaps being a v twin, it would be a worthy addition to my bike stable. Nice one Mr Fish 👍
not overly impressed but price wise if its way below the Honda 500 bobber it will have an audience I am sure. the hole between the tank and the saddle .... what where they thinking?? ;-)
We have those here in Hong Kong, about £4,300 here. How would you compare this to something like the RE Meteor 350 or the Honda CB350 H’Ness? Kind of see them all in the same bracket, but don’t know which market has all 3! The U.K. has the RE and now the Hyosung, not the H’Ness! Here we only have the Hyosung, holding out hope for the H’Ness coming here next year! I want a retro bike or a cruiser that I don’t have to pay through the nose for!
just been watching people doing the gv125 , and was impressed, but to have a bit more power , even better. the only thing i'd need to see is how light the clutch is. ( weak hands ), hence current bike being NC750 DCT. but have ridden the triumph street twin an really enjoyed that , very light clutch.
Would I be right in saying if you were actually buying a 300, you might spend a few extra pennies for the Honda CB300R you tested a couple of years ago, or has something else taken your fancy?
Hate to break the news to you, but you were beaten to the post by ' Views from the Mancave ' not that you're, probably, bothered by that. So, not quite an exclusive, but almost. Anyway, another enjoyable video from you. Looking forward to another Honda Cub adventure.
@@Mrfish2015 More important to go on holiday if the suntanned hands were anything to go by. And he only beat you by a day getting it the video out, anyway. I'd, probably, go for a S/H Honda 500 Rebel over this, if I were interested in this sort of bike, though, and wanted to keep the price down. And, being the Honda fan you are, I'd guess you'd do the same.
Hi, After watching your reviews I bought a Honda 750 Intergra (couldn't justify extra £'s for a Forza), and I love it, the DCT gearbox is a revelation. Since seen reviews about the Honda VFR1200 XA Crossover in dca, and am seriously considering this bike. Seems to have everything that my GS700 had in bucketfulls, with the auto box that I crave. I don't want to do serious off road riding on my bikes, but the ability to handle a muddy field or sandy track (or even a snow laden road) is always a benefit, and it sounds as if this bike could also give me the joy I used to have on my Bandit 1200. If I thought it would tick all my boxes, I'd happily sign a PCP deal. Would be nice if you could review one and give feedback.
Should it be as reliable as their cars , you won, t go wrong , not my type of bike , they should make a 300 version of the Akuma 125 . But a good video for those that like it . Well done Mr Fish and mind the GAP .
Honestly can’t think why someone would choose this over a Meteor, especially as even at base spec you’re getting more options and built in GPS. I reckon the Meteor will destroy this thing in the sales figures
you have to be a lover of concrete mixer engines to put up with the RE, i coped for 6 months and gone back to 2 purring cylinders now! GPS was a joke too, once your phone lost signal everything went down the plug hole, far better to pay for your own Beeline or whatever it is called!
Another great show i like it im thinking about buying a Honda forza 300 or 350 i can get a good buy on 2020 300 i tried a yamaha X Max 300 but the Yamaha Dealer sugjusted a Yamaha Tricity 300 Trick . For some one that wants to get back to rideing my last ride was a 1978 Honda 400 thats 30 years ago . He said a old guy like me should get a Tricity 300 i would loved to had tried one thay are all soled out here in Norway . Have you ever tried one did a report on i would have liked to hear what you thinked about it how you liked it OK Thank`s keep the show`s comeing
Bike very interesting, colour not so much. I like me a bit of shiny 'cos I'm a child. When's this 125 trip beyond the wall to the NC500 with Bruce and Dickie Vegas happening? The frozen north awaits you.
And there will more likely be aftermarket parts availability for the RE thanks to it's Indian following, I imagine you'll be stuck with stock everything on this, and cruiser owners do like to customise their bikes.
I did not realise that Hyosung was South Korean, I thought it was Chinese. It looks like a cross between a Kawasaki Vulcan and Honda Rebel. It looks a bit cheap and probably is. I don't like the looks of those mirrors. The gap between the seat and tank looks like something went wrong especially with that silver bolt in the middle.

And as far as I know, KR Motors is the name now. Hyosung is long gone.
Thanks for that , I’ll try and remember next time

Hyosung should make a Himalayan-esque bike with that engine. Would sell really well.
I don't think so. The Himalayan ist underpowered as it is. A 300cc twin needs to be revved a lot more. As a 650cc twin, it will work though.
Hyosung did make a copy of the sv650. (The comet) Maybe they could use that engine?
@@knorke3642 RE is working on 650 Twin ADV bike though!!

Have a test on the Royal Enfield 350 Meteor if you get the opportunity, cracking bike for the money.👍
Hope you will do a review of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 one day :_:
Do they have of a innis Motorbike dealer in cornwall for the Hyosung Aquila GV 125 S ?? please Fish
sinnis dealer lol

Jawa 350? Great bike!
Thought given to a pillion which is good. Really put off the Rebel due to lack of.
ODO... I think not... it stands for Ooo... look how many miles I've done. Looks a lovely little bike but I agree about that gap.

looks good apart from the tank and that gap it seams like it was put on as an after thought
Does it have a centre stand?
As always, great review. At first glance, I thought the tyres were continentals?!

No longer import the CB300R into the UK due to poor sales.
‘Views from the Man Cave’ already has a review of this up?

The gap between the seat and tank shouldn’t be there. Maybe it was incorrectly installed.

They are a bit hit & miss with their products. If you get a good one it will be reliable but if you get one that is not that good you will be in hell.

hehe peel the stikker of the tank and stick some ape hangers on it..... instant mini HD
Ah if I had waited i would have seen you agree
Looks reasonably decent, but can't help but think it's trying to be a Rebel 500/1100 copy, in looks anyway..😉
The space between the tank and the seat and the exhaust puts me off :-(
