You are a true motorcyclist by heart Mark!
Your enthusiasm over this unique baby v-twin proves it.
People ask me how can I get excited riding a Honda 110 scooter after riding big a adventure bike or liter sport bikes?
I always give the same answer:
If you’re a true motorcyclist by heart, you can!
    Cheers

It's a nice little bike if you get past that misconception that anything non-Japanese is trash, it's rather powerful compared to other A1 license motorcycles so people might enjoy it a little bit more than a standard single cylinder 10 HP motorcycle. I would much rather get something like this than a Honda 125.
Personally I had some experience with the A2 one, the GV300s that may be one of the better 300cc bikes out there, it's definitely one of the better A2 cruisers as it even beats the Honda Rebel 300 which has a single cylinder and just 25hp as opposed to GV300's 30HP and that is something not many bikes can say these days as manufacturers don't throw in a second cylinder on motorcycles anymore, especially ones that don't hit the upper limit of the A2 license. (both are enough for commuting, but 5 extra HP does put an even bigger smile on your face).
    Great review man!

That looks like a great bike and even though it has short service intervals everything looks easy to get at...even the valves/covers look easily accessible. If you're doing it yourself it'll be cheap to run I'd have thought. A vee twin 125👍...Nice one. Great review as always. Thanks for posting.

This is a very impressive bike, don't see two cylinders on a 125. I had a Honda CB 125 Twin in 1980 it produced 16.5 BHP, it was an amazing bike.
I watched many of your reviews, don't see one on the Honda SH125i.
Just over a year nearly done 20,000 miles. If you decide to review that bike I would be interested to hear your opinion! Mine seems to easily do 200 miles on its tiny tank.

Nice review Mark, not a style of bike I would normally buy but this one seems well made and is appealing . I do like some of the 125cc that are currently on the market and would be great to have in my shed alongside my bigger bike. You can have great fun on these little machines. The big issue is that dealers in my area don’t tend to run 125cc bikes as demonstrators so it’s difficult to compare makes and models.

2,500 mile service intervals. To me, that is one of the biggest problems with Chinese bikes, low service intervals. To someone that uses their bike every day, or most days, they could quite easily be servicing it every 2 months ( about 40 - 45 mile per day - 20 miles each way to work and back - which could easily happen ) I realise that might only mean changing the oil and filter, but still.
Not your fault, I realise, Mark, but a 125 Japanese bike would, more than likely have a much longer service interval, and wouldn't be that much more to buy than this bike.

@@markpulling12 Yes, I guess so. I just checked the service interval on a Honda CB125 ( different sort of bike, I know ) It was 8,000klms, just shy of 5,000 miles. Not as much as I thought it would be. I suppose, 125cc bikes get thrashed everywhere, have less oil in them than larger bikes and, therefore, need more regular oil changes.

Looks fine if that’s your cup of tea, but for that amount of money I personally would buy good second hand Japanese, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha. My main reason is depreciation, horrendous losses on any new bike but much worse on this, the quality of engineering, and materials used are not of the standard I require or expect, this is one of the better alternatives being Korean as they have made some effort to use better quality metals but it’s well overpriced for what it is. These are just my opinions but it’s founded on nearly 50 years of riding motorcycle’s, There are other brands I’ve had experience with such as BMW but whilst at risk of ruffling more feathers I would say BMW lost their high standards of engineering and finishing about 20 years ago. This would be ok second hand, much reduced but at the asking price it’s just not a good deal
