Sometimes you might have static content in your document and you don't want employees or colleagues to change that content and its formatting. In this video, you will learn how to lock parts of a document to prevent editing. We are also going to look at how to use the locking function together with fillable fields, to make the form even more user-friendly.

What version of word are you using?
Typically the most recent one (Office 365) but some tutorials were made with Office 2019
Thank you sir.
You’re very welcome 😊❤️
Awesome ! Thanks body !
you're welcome
what can I do for avoiding font changing in different word version?
that's a tricky one. This is most likely not a Word version problem, but a "is the font installed on the other device" problem. There are a bunch of standard fonts (like Arial) which are installed on almost any device. So when you open your document on a different device, it will look the same. But if the document uses some sort of special font, then it's most likely not installed on the other device and then it'll look different on the other device.
@@LeonRenner thank you so much^^
Hey after locking the text, if someone opens the doc it shows highlighted to them and they are not able to fix it
After you've entered the password for locking, the next screen (still in the sidebar) has a checkbox which highlights the editable areas. Simply deactivate that box. I do think however, that your recipient will have to do this as well. So, it seems that this is not a setting that can be saved with the document.
