AudioControl have always had decent quality products, amps look pretty good, would love to play with one. I have an old Overdrive line driver from the mid 90's and it still works great.
Alan is actually wrong. This isn't the only line of amps that Audiocontrol has made. they made a line of amps back in the early 90's or latte 80's. They didn't make them for long and they're really hard to come by. Great video, btw! 👌
you're correct they made the system 90 audio control model 25 model 50 few other models for the audio control system 90 made in the usa 90's era alan hasn't been around the old school era the times they were known for their rack mount eq's , processors and their legendary eqt epicenter came out later on during early 2000 on up til now even having the preamps like the clarion eqs6 or the holy grail pa-1 by Rockford corp..
Al, I saw a video where you had a Fluke 105B II, I happen to pick up the same one brand new in the box off some random person on offerup and I found out you can select the resistance and test for wattage right on the the ScopeMeter itself. How accurate is it? And do you simply not use it for these tests because there's not a 1ohm option?
That price though! My RF amp from Sonic cost me $150 and does the same power at 2ohms...sure it might not be as clean but at the end of the day it is a 600 watt class D sub amp
+Mosby Wood Works i disagree with that. AC has always made EXCELLENT gear. If this amp distorted, the test would stop immediately. "Certified" stops at 1%. The amp passed with flying colors. If you are getting distortion in your system, you might wana think about an SMD DD-1 or DD-1 PLUS. Set your gains properly and don't blame the equipment. :)
I own one of your dd-1 great product and i watchball your videos. Ive own two different items from them the first one did what it was supposed to but this last one did not live up to the price tag. I tested the line level ins and set my favtory deck to your dd-1 then checked after the ac and it was distorted had to turn the deck half way down and this is with the ac set as low as it goes.

Gotta spend the money if you want the right sound. Sonic Electronix is the only place I buy my equipment from.

Dont get me wrong the amp and brand did and is great but.... you can get more power for a much cheaper price like a zapco st850 for less

audiocontrol makes some shitty gear. epicenter does nothing but distort your signal and now its built into the amp.
