I always love your reactions, Dennis! I'm pretty sure you're a VP Patreon member so you may already know this but this is one of the few songs that no one from VP arranged. It was done by Ben Bram. Also, you'll notice during the speaking part at the end they're standing in a church. They actually filmed two videos for this song. The first was done on the beach but they originally had issues with one of the cameras & filmed it again in the church. They were then able to fix the beach video & decided to release that one publicly. Both versions are on the Patreon site. I hope you & your family have a wonderful holiday season!
I love the way J, Geoff, and Layne lay such a steady foundation of lower notes to support the highs of Rachel, Eli, and Earl. Just gorgeous. If you have time this holiday season please check out VoicePlay's cover of "O Little Town of Bethlehem". It's really beautiful. I think it must have been between Tony and J None because Geoff is video doubled and singing both baritone and bass. th-cam.com/video/ltTciLbsT0Y/w-d-xo.html
For some groups it is difficult, if not impossible, for them to have a bad song. But even with these groups, though everyone's taste's are different, the more popular the suggestion is, it's a good way to find the best of the best. And for those groups that only have one or two exceptional songs it's the fastest and therefore the best way of finding them. And to generate greater interest the best way is to have greater veriuty, then more people will find you, while looking for other things. I know you have your favorites and you shouldn't stop doing them, since many of your followers are here for those, and some like Peter Hollens have so many you could spend months just on them and still not finish. Just don't forget to try new groups. That's how you find, and have already found new favorites.
VoicePlay did a livestream tonight on Patreon and I asked if they ever watch reactions to their videos and they all said yes. I wonder if they ever watch your videos haha I shouted y'all out in the chat though
That's awesome! Thank you so much :) I haven't been getting my Patreon email notifications like I used to. I'll have to check it out Edit: so I went back and watched, thank you very much for the shout out and I honestly think that Eli is talking about me because I say all the time but I don't understand music. He kind of described me perfectly lol
