If you found this guide helpful, giving the video a thumbs up would be awesome.
Bypass may avoid the car, but you'll end up near the tree branches where there isn't a safe way through. Brake stops altogether. I'm a novice drone flyer so your videos are really informative for product info as well as general drone knowledge. Thanks Simon, epic old red car you've got!
If you get annoyed with obstacle avoidance beeps you can drag down the top of the screen to pull down the android style settings menu. You can lower or mute the master volume temporarily.
Nice review. Im interested to buy dji mini 4 pro. What is the minimum distance it will brake? Is it fixed or you can change the distance before the drone brakes?
Good video mate my first flight was yesterday Friday all my sensors had red errors on them and my drone is going back on Monday and getting a replacement hopefully the second one will be OK. Please let me know if anybody else has had the same issue. Thanks Mark 👍
Hi Simon I have a question you know right , I dont think i have EVER seen the obstacle avoidance lights on the controller any other colour than RED , and they are turned on on the new remote, the light today is overcast , yet its bright here, its not in sports mode and still that top right still reads red , any idea please ?? what would you do ??.. any idea what might be causing that ? thank you , appreciating any anwer I get always ans thanks in advance :)
Is there a way to turn off the beeping, but leave the OA enabled? It's really annoying if you know you are flying close to something, but like the safety net of it not letting you get too close.
yes, just swipe down the controller (like how you swipe down your phone to check the notifications) and select mute, it will stop the beeping noise for OA but you will not hear your drone if the battery gets low I think
@@AWESOME-ji9uc yeah, you are right. If you turn it down for OA then it turns it down for everything. Oh well, it would be nice to separate the volumes, but I still love the drone.
I just had the opposite problem (with DJI mini 4 pro). Just got a replacement drone and booted it up in my flat to check it is working/responding correctly. Was able to takeoff and move it to the right but then couldn’t move it back toward its original landing point because it was detecting the wall ~3m away as an obstacle. Ended up with *very* limited movement in any direction because it detected everything as an obstacle, even though it had plenty of space before it got near any of them. Couldn’t even land it on the clear table I was able to move it over because it detected that as an obstacle. When we got our first mini 4 pro and was testing it in the same room this wasn’t an issue at all and we were able to fly it around the room and land it on the table without issue. I feel like they have increased sensitivity of obstacle detection (perhaps with the latest firmware update?), which isn’t a bad thing but I can see it leading to some tricky situations (which hopefully can be resolved by turning obstacle detection off if you need to navigate carefully out of something or manually land it).
Obstacle avoidance is really just training wheels on your bicycle.. Just fly properly and sensibly... But if you're brand new I guess you would need to use it... Happy flying.

Very good demonstration. Thank you!😊

EXCELLENT JOB !

Hi.....maybe have you test...inside filming a wedding active track is it working? Thank you

Sorry ot hear, hopefully the replacement should be good! Please let me know.
@SimonsDrones will do mate keep up the good work 👍
Plenty of issues and steadily growing complaints.
@@SimonsDrones new drone is spot on and flies lovely 👍🍻
Omg I had the same thing happen to me and I returned it and got a brand new one for only 65 bucks
Good advice, Simon would you say the mini 4 is quieter than the mini 3 as you've got both. 😁👍👌🇬🇧
Honestly, I cannot notice the difference I think they sound the same!
Does it have above obstacle avoidance??
Great video!!! 🤜🤛👍🇵🇹
Will obstacle avoidance work at evenings around 6 pm where its not completely dark ?? My drone always says vision sensors available
So why didn't you try the nifty mode? This would be very interesting for me!
Good video footage but I have a question to ask ? Can a obstacle work at tonight?

Does obstacle avoidance works on quickshots?
No

I tried it indoors and it seems like it’s going to slam into the ceiling. I stopped it after it got about 1” from touching the ceiling.

obstical noise can be switched off
Turning off the obstacle avoidance is risky
So far real world test by TH-camrs have crashed it by using the obstacle avoidance. It will crash using the avoidance system. Fly manually 😮
Yep, I think I mentioned that in the video. It's great in a pinch, but don't get too reliant upon it!
is this learn to fly a drone,,,age,,,,12 to 14 year olds ????

He is testing dingdong
How to avoid the mini 4 pro DJI quick cash grab.. Keep your perfectly capable mini 3pro... 😉
I only had the Mini 2 though, so I think it was worth the upgrade.
I agree with you though, probably not worth the 3 to 4 change.
