Since Truk is gonna be a thorn in your side in the Central Pacific why not get every Task Force available that can haul troops to do a massive invasion. I know it’s not on the objective list but if you can capture it 100% intact it’ll give you even more command points every week

@@ItsPaaat I had a flashback of being on a tugboat for thirty days and waiting in the galley for crew change.... Then freedom walking up the ramp smelling the sweet smell of tar on the wooden docks and adjusting to walking on solid ground....

Finally some B-24 love. My dad was a Liberator bombardier in the 8th AAF. He flew 25 missions in 1944 out of England. Luckily, he made it home. Thanks once again for the episode.

I knew two, one was a flight engineer on a b17 with the 8th, and he refused to talk about it. The other was a b25 pilot for Kenny, and he love to talk about it even tho he was shot down twice.

I try to remember to always rearm my ships, even before unloading cargo/gas/troops/etc. 🙂 It pays in the long run to make that a habit. It also serves as a reminder to resupply your FOB's. I have to say, from this point you might just concentrate on MS/AO/CVLs/DDs/CLs. With whats left of the IJN, they could handle it. Sadly, in your Pacific War, we might see all the Essex carriers go to the Atlantic because theres really no need for them.

To think that Pennsylvania was almost lost because of a lone unidentified Japanese torpedo bomber in the middle of the night of August 15th 1945 struck her in the aft section. If she sunk, that would've been really sad that the entire class of battleship would be plague by tragedy with having the first and last US battleship to be sunk in WW2. It was already ugly enough with the loss of Indy. On another note, what I'd like to see is for some of the destroyer escorts be put in charge of protecting the convoys purely because it's more fitting and beneficial to have them take over those roles rather than Fletchers, it would make the campaign feel more alive. Also, are you going to attempt to control the entire map or charge for the home islands?

If I recall, the difficulty doesnt change the AI, rather it just changes the points you get each week and the damage you give/take. I may be wrong about that, but I dont remember. I'd check the Discord if you want details on that. Best always!
If you just want to send a message let one ship go dead in the water hold fire from all BBs main guns and manually aim them all along the hull with narrow spread and pause the game and fire them all at the same time
@@ItsPaaat I’ve done it before but about 3 levels higher I had pretty much won a campaign in the vanilla game and only capital ship left was Yamato herself and I found her with 4 destroyers with 12 dive bombers and 5 battleships she was dead in the water with no operational guns then I bombed and shot her with all the BBs at the same time it was glorious

I guess I don't need to call my old chief...lol fyi he was 5 foot nothing, no teeth and native American and the stritist person I ever met and respected... Ohh he would always sharpen his knife with a big wet stone in the galley when he was in a good mood and tell sea stories....
Nope, nothing on the scope today. Maybe tomorrow or thurs. I worked with one Navy CPO years ago, he was a character. Former boxing champ, and he always told me the litttle guys were the most dangerous...lol!

Totally fair criticism. I wanted to keep control of the battle, and I felt that making radical changes was a bad idea, thus the minor correction to throw off their solution. It didnt work out that way, but that was my thinking. At least only one IJN element got torps off, I was afraid more would...

Hey pat, I think next time you build a convoy, you should try using escort destroyers. They are cheaper, and are very interesting overall
