Gah! I aspire to get on your level of packing skills! I’m going to try really hard to pack everything I need for an upcoming girlfriend’s trip into a backpack. Thanks for sharing. I love how you shared pics throughout showing us how you pack your bag.
lol thanks for watching, if down sizing to a backpack seems to hard to do then start with reducing the amount of bags you carry and narrow it down to one carryon luggage then once you mastered packing & carrying one luggage then on your next trip try down sizing to a backpack 🎒 I actually have a video on how I pack my carryon luggage as a solo traveler check it out if you wish!
I think it's great that you can manage to pack so light. However, I'd like to make a suggestion about the shoes: packing each pair separately would save you space in your backpack and it's also easier to fit. Flats would pack well in a zip lock bag and the heels could go in a shower cap. That large crumpled plastic bag with 2 pairs shifting around takes up space in your bag.
Hi Swakara1 I appreciate your suggestion I did consider packing the shoes separately, but packing the two together actually worked out best for the shaped & size bag that I have and sometimes it’s best to work with what you got then to force it. Thanks for watching 🙂
You got a thumbs up from me as soon as I saw that 'What to expect...' slide. Shows you care about your viewers' time. If only very video started like that!
Hi SunshineJoleen, it’s funny you mentioned that because normally I verbally do a brief mention of what to expect at the start of a video but that day I forgot and decided to have it written, so I’m happy you appreciate it and Thanks for watching 🙂
I scored a great last minute round trip flight Port-au-Prince Haiti to Miami Florida for $178 on Spirit when all other airlines were minimum $400. Was only going there for a week and packed a personal item bag. I even managed to bring back lots of little gifts for my family. Love packing light... That's my secret to afford several trips a year. 🙂
Hi Floreine, you really did score a good deal and Spirit airlines normally makeup for their low fares by charging more for luggage and everything else so the fact that you traveled light was a brilliant idea! Thanks for watching 🙂
You are the first that I found that truly travels light. I'm trying to go only carry on for a four month trip and in most of the videos they are trying to stuff 'one week' into a carry on. Great video, got yourself a new subscriber :)
Hi Mauve, a lot of people struggle with packing light but I love the freedom it brings carrying less stuff! Thanks Mauve for watching & subscribing I appreciate it! 🙂
I recommend using a shower cap to put your shoes in while packing. I collect the ones from hotel rooms & reuse them until they tear. They're thin, see-through, and wrap snuggly around the shoes.
Hi Evangelina Ferrero, that’s a great idea I’ve actually done this many times but on that trip I didn’t have any shower caps available so I just used the next best thing hanging around the house which was plastic bags lol. Thank you so much for watching & commenting your idea I appreciate it. 😊
Hi gina mills, I’m glad you appreciate the pictures my goal was to show that everything in my small backpack was exactly what I needed nothing more or less which allowed me to travel light and carefree and also to show that anyone can pack light for just about any occasion from casual to formal if you pack smart by only taking what you absolutely need. Thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment 😊
Love your bag! Have you tried using packing cubes? One medium Ebags packing cube would have contained & compressed every piece of clothing, and slid right done into your bag, giving you even more room to work with. I started using packing cubes a years ago, I love packing with them. Anyways, nicely done video, and that silver dress for the wedding looked gorgeous on you!
Hi Sierra, I’ve seen packing cubes online before but always wondered if it was worth all the hype but since you mention it I think I’ll give it a second look! Thanks Sierra for watching and your nice compliments I really appreciate it! 🙂
The other neat thing about packing cubes and one bag travel is that when you get to where you are staying, you just pull the packing cube out of your bag and use it as a drawer to keep your clothes organized, in one place, then you can use your bag as a purse/day bag.
This pack with me vlog will definitely become my packing inspiration! On another note, have you had a chance to check out the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane? It seems like a well-designed travel companion, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
Hi, thank you I had a few other people in the comments mentioned the compression bags as well so it’s something I definitely plan on checking out. Thanks for watching 🙂
Great job! I'm going on a cruise next year and determined to go as minimalist as possible. I plan on using a bag that's a bit bigger than yours but not much. After watching your video i know i can do it too!
Hi Tesa Silva, I love cruising and I think it’s great that you want to pack minimal and even if your bag is slightly bigger then mine I think it will still work out great for you because the less you have to carry the more you can focus on things that matter most! Thank you for watching 🙂
@@SheDynamic i've been tweeking my capsule wardrobe so everything is mix and match. I bought a really well fitting black one piece swimsuit and plan to wear it on both excursions with some cute shoes and capris. The reason i say well fitting is because i plan to wear the swimsuit off the boat and won't wear a bra. I've noticed that cheaper swimwear just doesn't have the support if you're going to try and wear it as an outfit while site seeing or shopping in port. I also found these amazing capris that are totally wrinkle free. They were rolled up in the bottom of my beach bag for two days and when i pulled them out for the drive home they looked fabulous. A bit pricy but so worth it for travel.
Hi Lisa thanks for watching I actually brought that bag a few months back from a store called Ross the brand is called “UnderOneSky” I tried searching online to see if I can find the exact one for you but had no success. I did noticed on my search Amazon carries several bags by the same brand that looks similar, so I hope any of this information helps!🙂
Hi Victoria f, go for it definitely doable especially for small trips and the freedom you get from traveling light is so liberating! Thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment 😊
Hi MizAnn, I haven’t tried packing cubes yet but a few other people in the comments also mentioned how much they love it so it’s definitely something I plan on checking out. Thank you MizAnn for watching 🙂
I’m literally leaving today my problem is I have to bring a pair of heels for a wedding. I have on good walking shoes however I need my tennis shoes as well. Sadly I can’t choose what dress to wear for the event so I have 3 😩
Hi Christain thanks for watching, what I would do is wear the bulkiest shoe 👟 to the airport & pack the heels & walking shoes and narrow down your dress options by removing your lest favorites the one you love most is what you’ll pack remember the point of minimalism is to get rid of what you don’t want and only keeping what you love enjoy your trip!
Great job! Role model! Especially, "it looks like you have room for more clothes...NO, 5 outfits is enough." What dimensions for this bag? You are a Pro for sure.
Hi H K 😆 I noticed the more room you seem to have the more you feel the need to use up all the space so I thought it was definitely worth mentioning to avoid this from happening to others lol thank you for watching 🙂 I’m actually not sure about the dimensions 🤔
Wow! Well done! I aspire to that-but always seem to end up packing more. I do have things pared down to a small carryon roller bag, though. So, getting there!!
Hi Jeanne, I also use roller bags depending on the situation or how I feel so nothing wrong with that & narrowing down to just one carry on bag is definitely a big step in the right direction one comes to traveling light! Thank you for watching 🙂

Hi Victoria Caropreso, I actually haven’t had any issues with that but maybe the rules have tightened even more during the pandemic. Thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment 😊
Hi nuvoclassic, no I actually left it at the hotel and just took my cellphone & wallet with me. Thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment 😊
Hi Anne Ragnhild Oijord, yes but I kept it simple and I only packed a travel sized 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner and a small size comb all which would fit in the front or side pockets for easy access or you can place it in your toiletries bag. Hope that helped answer your question thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you found some inspiration from the video happy travels 😊
Who makes that 24 hr charger? The only few things I would change is.... Buy those cheap dollar store shower caps and put your shoes in there before you put them in your bag because you mentioned they were dirty so that's a way to keep them clean and all your toiletries I would've put in a baggie first. I'm flight attendant and you pack like I do!!! We just can't carry a backpack...which I HATE!!
Hi Melinda, the brand of the charger is called tech solutions I got it from a store called Ross a few years ago it’s not the fastest but it gets the job done, also it’s not actually labeled 24hr charger I just call it that because I’m able to get up to 4 extra full charges out of it. Thanks for the shower cap tip another person in the comments mentioned it as well but haven’t tried it yet and also thanks for watching. 🙂
Hi Arieanna Gomez, I hope this video gave you some helpful tips to reduce your packing stress. Packing smart is better then packing perfect so pack only what you need. Thank you so much for watching and best wishes on your travels 😊
Using a compression packing cube or large ziplock bag helps keep the clothes tightly rolled and compresses them,it also protects them, using a disposible shower cap is ideal to cover shoes ,you can get even smaller jars and bottles and tiny perfume bottles enough for a short trip like yours you can decant the liquids and creams into that take up even less room and help comply to TSA rules, you can get solid items instead too. If you are flying then remember you have to put the liquids in a quart sized bag .The dotty item you call a jumper is a jumpsuit, You are doing a great job and i enjoyed the video a lot xxx
@@SheDynamic I LOVE travel hacks and tips and your video was appealing to a woman like me that loves to take plenty but knows what to pack and how to pack, another good tip is to use a flatter bag a similar shape to a laptop bag as it is the best shape for minimal packing, i will post a link of one i got and then i will tell you what i could fit in it and you would be joyful LOL!!! i challenge myself to be able to take the most things in the smallest bag... little things please little minds ha ha !!
You have good ideas. You must travel a lot. Please note in the Caribbean her 'jumper' is a jumper. Thankfully she was able to input pics so you were able to cross reference it to what you call a jumpsuit. 🙂

Hi Nicole H-H, I can totally understand where you are coming from it’s something about seeing organized spaces that brings a sense of calm. Happy you found the video helpful thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment ☺️
Hi MLTB thanks for watching, yes you should be putting them in ziplock bags but I’ve noticed in the last couple of years airports that I’ve been too haven’t really enforced it and I haven’t had any issues with not using them I don’t know if it’s because I’m carrying very little liquids or my bag is small enough to pass I don’t know 🤷🏾♀️ So sometimes I bag them if I remember but for the most part I don’t hope that answered your question!
My concern about the front pocket are there are quite a few things that could break or leak - I carry a leather bag and would be devastated if perfume roller broke and leaked or got squashed in the front pocket!!
Hi Marion, I can totally understand your concern and it has crossed my mind but everything I have in the front pockets are things I want quick access to without digging in my bag especially if it’s small so if your really concerned about something breaking place them in a ziplock bag as I sometimes do so liquids don’t spill everywhere and also consider putting it somewhere else in your bag that has a lower chance of breaking hope this info helps and thanks for watching 🙂
Hi Nicolette, I actually packed everything in that one bag including my undergarments I just choose not to show that part because I didn’t think it was necessary or maybe even appropriate but just a quick tip you can ways place your underwear in a zip lock bag or packing cube so it’s easier to reach. Thanks Nicolette for watching 🙂
Hi Connie Medeiros, I rolled up the underwear and place it in between the folded shirts up top with the rest of the clothes which I did off camera because at the last minute I didn’t think it was appropriate to leave all that detail in the video. Hope that answered your question and thank you so much for watching 😊
Yes thank you aside from the under garments everything I pack in the video is all I had & didn’t even carry a purse just throw my small wallet in at the bottom pocket and I was good to go & I was able to enjoy myself without the hassle of being weighed down by unnecessary extra bags & it all worked out great! You should definitely give traveling light a try it’s so freeing & stress free 😀
Hi lisa mallard, no you didn’t miss anything lol 😆 I actually had no intentions of going swimming therefore I didn’t pack a bathing suit and left me with room for more important things such as undergarments which I did pack but later decided to cut that part out of the video because I didn’t think it was appropriate or necessary to show that much detail but I did place it in a compact pouch and packed it up top in between the clothes. Hope that answered your question and thank you so much for watching I appreciate your time 😊
Hi Park Ave Princess, If your a fuller size you may not be able to pack as many clothes as I did use my method but there’s definitely other options you can use to pack minimal such as using packing cubes which a few people in the comments mentioned. I hope that’s helpful information and thank you for watching 🙂
I'm plus sz too - 2xl (20 - 22) - and it CAN be done - takes a lot of thinking and planning and practicing and culling - every item based on ACTUAL planned activities - NOT 'what if?' scenarios. Note: I only travel in summer, only for long weekends, and only eat out casual for brunch and lunch. If I MUST attend fancier supper I wear wide-leg, black palazzo pants w/ pockets over my comfy bermuda shorts w/ pockets on travel day - plus black ballet flats with thin dark socks. I'm experimenting with wearing many duplicates on travel day to reduce the # of packed items. So far, it's working! Happy travels.
Bjr .. je regarde cette vidéo.. depuis toujours je vais mes valises en roulant mes vêtements.. ainsi on peut mettre beaucoup.. et dans ma salle de bain je roule aussi mes serviettes 😊
Hi Chanchan, rolling the clothes is the best way for me to pack when I’m traveling with a backpack so it’s good that you already picked up the habit! Thank you so much for watching 😊
This literally only works in the summer time if ur skinny. As a sz 24/26, I couldn't get away with a bag like this and that makes me angry cuz I so love to! Backpack at minimum!! I'd love to go away for a weekend with a bag this size
Hi Courtney's Cockpit, I think you can do it too! Where there’s a will there’s a way I actually had someone else in the comments who said the same thing and I feel bad that it never crossed my mind that the size of the outfit can take up more space if you pack the way that I did in the video but their is hope a few people mentioned that packing cubes or compression cubes helps reduce the amount of space your clothes take up in your bag just google them I’m sure you can find them online! Also quick tips wear your bulkiest outfit on you the day of travel but pack lighter fabrics that are easier to fold like dresses, tops, skirts and have like 5 pieces of clothes that are interchangeable with each other so your not having to carry multiple outfits for each day. I really hope this information is helpful thank you for watching 🙂
@@SheDynamic only if I wore the same pants all weekend took two tops, undies and a night gown. Buuuut that would be for two days. Could maybe push for three but have to wear PJs down to the laundry room to do 3 days or 4
@@SheDynamic they actually take up more space. I've tried regular ones as well as the compression ones. Best method I've found is rolling. Also some type of military roll where you roll ur outfits together. Undies and all. And use ur socks to fill it all up into a bundle. It's great!! There's tutorials here on TH-cam if you've never seen it. Can get bulky but I love having outfits all together and ready to go
Thanks Courtney for sharing your thoughts on the packing cubes a few people mentioned it in the comments and I was wondering if it can sometimes take up more space then I would like, also I haven’t really seen the military method but will check it out!

Hi Amu, thanks the bag I’ve had it for a while now the brand that makes it is called UnderOneSky i searched online to see if I can find it and had no luck but the company do have similar bags to what I have so just google UnderOneSky see what you find I hope that helps and Thank you for watchig🙂
@@SheDynamic thanks so much replying and trying to find it for me! I will checke it out.
No problem Amu your welcome 🙂
Inspired
Hi Karen Henry, I’m glad you found the video inspiring thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment ☺️
Very nice job packing! Cool backpack, what kind is it? TFS ❤️
Hi Grayce Thank You for watching the brand to my backpack is called “UnderOneSky” 🙂
Watching minimalist travellers packing their backpacks really helps my anxiety. I really enjoyed watching this. You look perfect in all your outfits. I love the silver dress. ❤
Hi Nicole H-H, I can totally understand where you are coming from it’s something about seeing organized spaces that brings a sense of calm. Happy you found the video helpful thank you so much for watching I appreciate your kind comment ☺️
I didn’t see any underwear being packed.. was that put in another bag?
Shouldn’t most of the items in the front pocket be in a clear, quart size bag?
Where do you pack your underclothes?
Hi Nicolette, I actually packed everything in that one bag including my undergarments I just choose not to show that part because I didn’t think it was necessary or maybe even appropriate but just a quick tip you can ways place your underwear in a zip lock bag or packing cube so it’s easier to reach. Thanks Nicolette for watching 🙂
Shooketh 😱😱😱😱
lol 😆 Thanks Lethal Lulu for watching!
This is amazing. I hope you make more travel and packing videos!
Hi Dino I appreciate it and thank you for watching! 🙂
People requesting packing cubes, try compression cubes.
Hi Malazkm, I don’t think I’ve heard of compression cubes but I’ll look into it. Thank you for watching 🙂
@@SheDynamic no problem. They are like packing cubes, but they have another zipper which makes the cubes flatter
Great tips! Where did you pack your underwear?
Hi Connie Medeiros, I rolled up the underwear and place it in between the folded shirts up top with the rest of the clothes which I did off camera because at the last minute I didn’t think it was appropriate to leave all that detail in the video. Hope that answered your question and thank you so much for watching 😊
@@SheDynamic ok! I'm relieved to know you will have all you need on your trip! Thank you for your informative video! 😁
You should definitely give traveling light a try it’s so freeing & stress free 😀
did I miss where you put undergarments and a bathing suit?
Hi lisa mallard, no you didn’t miss anything lol 😆 I actually had no intentions of going swimming therefore I didn’t pack a bathing suit and left me with room for more important things such as undergarments which I did pack but later decided to cut that part out of the video because I didn’t think it was appropriate or necessary to show that much detail but I did place it in a compact pouch and packed it up top in between the clothes. Hope that answered your question and thank you so much for watching I appreciate your time 😊
That is great for you skinny girls but not for us big girls. Love your planning
Could maybe push for three but have to wear PJs down to the laundry room to do 3 days or 4
Hi Courtney, I haven’t tried these myself but check out packing cubes it may give you a little more room to add a few more stuff.
No hair brush??
Hi Jagruti, in the video you’ll notice that my hair is tightly coiled and had it down the whole trip so had no need for a brush. Thank you for watching 🙂
@@SheDynamic lucky you...
Where are you from? I can hear an accent. Is it African?
Hi MsIGetLotOfThat, I’m Haitian so, yes some people can pick up an accent when I talk I don’t notice it but it’s there lol thanks for watching 🙂
No bras and underpants
Hi Glwest I actually did pack both but I decided it wasn’t necessary to show that on camera so I cut that part out. Thanks for watching 🙂
You didn't pack any underwear
Hi Theresa Curran, yes I sure did but off camera I didn’t thank it was appropriate to show that much detail lol 😆 Thank you so much for watching 😊
Underwear?
Hi Juanetta Sherrill, I rolled up the underwear and place it in between the folded shirts up top with the rest of the clothes which I did off camera because at the last minute I didn’t think it was appropriate to leave all that detail in the video. Hope that answered your question and thank you so much for watching 😊
