I have to congratulate Microsoft for deciding to follow the right path and make these wonderful devices more repairable.
As a Surface Pro owner since the original Surface Pro, I am passionate about these devices, but I know how painful it was to perform any type of maintenance.
Good times are coming and Microsoft is on the right path!

Very cool. So glad you're making these repairable. Two notes; I think thermal paste should be re-applied when refitting the Thermal Module. Also, I'm sure the weights for display bonding should not be 32kg which is about 70lbs. Perhaps 3.2kg would be advisable. Thank you for this info.

I think the official heatsink replacement comes with preapplied thermal paste, but yes if you're disassembling to clean it for example and not replacing the heatsink then you need thermal paste 😅

Where can someone get the adhesive strips and speaker mesh? Microsoft doesn't offer them.

Finally moving slowly in a right direction with making repair steps available for public. I hope you won't start with some part serialization or similar crazy ideas others had

i'm just noticing the complete dominance iFixit has in these repair videos - I saw one in Valve's teardown of the Steam Deck, and I think they were also visible in one of Apple's keynotes.

Really cool that Microsoft does these things. I just invested all my Microsoft Rewards Points to buy 125 tickets for the Surface Pro 9 giveaway, I really hope I'll win. Great device!

All electrical devices such as iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Laptops should release "Repair: Assemble and Deassemble" video like this along with new product showcase. Also, the company should sell spare parts. In case of damage, some users can do it on their own.
I don't trust repairers as they may replace the original parts. Some even cause even worse.

We Want Surface pro 10 with Meteor lake processor and new Xbox with Intel Battlemage GPU, Microsoft Should Support Intel not AMD!
