Great review Pep. I have got compliments from this one, probably because it does perform like a beast on me. This may be my favourite patch frag, perhaps because the patch is not mixed with cocoa like the majority of patch frags, but rather takes a dry and leathery route. It's very carnal. If it was any sexier it would be illegal.
About time you got your hands on this one, top 3 from HdP for me. There's magic in the opening. BTW, thanks for turning me on to Patchouli Nobile, omg, this is so good. I actually teared up the first time I used it, just the perfect masculine patch for me, and a perfect counterpart to Noir Patchouli. Dirty vs dandy.
You mentioned you have tried a lot of Patch fragrances. What are some of the best green ones you have tried? My favorite is Givenchy Gentleman 1974 vintage. Green and animalic dressing. This Noir one gives me wafts that remind me of it, the green part. I'm looking for other ones.
I am desperately trying to replicate the Patchouli in Clinique Aromatics Elixir, it has been Reformu-murdered if you kwim, and I just want that smell back. does this give you the AE vibes anybody?
I wish i could tell you, but i haven't smelled AE enough, and definitely not any older versions. Are you somewhere that might stock thos brand so you can sample?
Great review, now I want to compare 1740 and NP for the similar patchouli accord. Never been on a patchouli bender before but I do reach for SL Borneo 1834 or L’artisan Patchouli Patch. Did you find that sample? PS. This lighting again - it’s like we’re underwater, I love it 😍
I’ve been on a HdP kick.....1740 is my fav from the house so far. Sounds like this one may be redundant since I already own 1740. How does this one compare to Patchouli Nobile?
Hey Maite, our tastes are in sync. I like Patch Nobile more because it's a little rounder and the labdanum gives that one a more rounded depth with the right amount of sweetness. The HdP is a colder beast
I’m crazy about this house. I have 3 back up bottles of Ambre 114 and I could only get one bottle of 1740, 2oz. I’ve been looking to buy two more 1740 bottles of 4oz, I am CRAZY about this one. But my favorite discounter is all out and they said they won’t restock until they can get it at the best price possible for their customers. And I’ve been patiently waiting, using my 15ml bottle of 1740. It looks like more ppl have discovered this masterpiece that is 1740.
I'm looking for something close to Aromatics Elixir by Clinique, before the Reformurner they did to it. does this or 1740 Marquis de Sade express Patchouli better?

Have you tried 1740 from this house. Even sexier😁
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day

I too got the nobile after watching this channel. I like it a lot.
Love you Pep. Don't ever stop reviewing.
I'll do my best. Thank you
Nice review as always mate. Sounds very interesting- I’ll definitely look to check this one out.
Thank you I’ve been thinking about H de parfums patchouli noir for a while. This review was helpful.

I’m having both of them PN and 1740 and I’m 100% agreed with the patchouli note,I was noticed that aspect from the very first spray.
Good to know i am not alone
Great indepth description of perfume, thank you.
I love it, been wearing a lot but as usual on me it doesn't last long and sillage is not great ..Thanks, Pep🙏🏻
Yeah, this isnt as strong as other parchoulis i have worn. Not just your skin i think
There's a limit? When? Where? 🤣 Completely agree that 1740 is a more embellished version. It was the reason I didn't pick it up either.

They are really quite different, I also prefer Noir Patchouli, perhaps the best opening of any fragrance in my collection.

It has been a long time love for me
Have it, like it - but love 1740

@@loneranger7573 1740 is more than just patchouli- but test both. The best patchouli for me is probably the one from Jovoy called Psychedelique
Another one I love
