It has been quite a while since I polished off my sample, but I recall it being light yet comforting - I've heard it referenced by a male reviewer as a "Coromandel d'Ete" on Parfumo, and felt a definite nod to White Patcholi to my recollection. Curious of your thoughts as I'm working off memory, and greatly respect your opinion. I am coming up on a year since ditching booze, and looking for a little treat to celebrate :)
Get your hands on 1828. It’s by far my favorite from the line. It’s the epitome of a barbershop/forest/classic/gentlemen fragrance but still smooth enough for a modern man.
My favorite from the house is 1899, Hemingway. There’s something about it that I can’t explain. I own 1969 and Amber 114, purchased based on your recommendation and I couldn’t be happier.
I walked by chance to their boutique in Paris in 2022 and sniffed everything and left with 15 mL bottles of 1889 Moulin Rouge and 1890. I also got 6 of their 12mL bottles from their sister brand Olibanum.
Love Histoires de Parfums! Moulin Rouge was also my first perfume from this house - then I quickly fell in love with the Tubereuse Animale one. I really want to check out Ambre 114 next!
I really liked this video as I only discovered this brand last year, I bought the Edition rare Veni from a German online shop. When the first spray hits my nose I immediately think of Christmas with oranges spiked with cloves. Unfortunately for me the longevity is short, But must now try your no 1 . Its a shame this brand is not found much in London Thank you for sharing .
I haven't tried them all but my favorite of those I've tried is 1740 Marquis De Sade. I got a free sample from my favorite fragrance boutique in Montreal, and the day I wore it, I went back to the shop to buy the bottle. It is by far, my favorite leather forward fragrance. Others from the house that I liked were 1725 Casanova and Ambre 114 but I haven't pulled the trigger on bottles. I have samples of 1876, 1804 George Sands and 1899 Hemingway but haven't worked them into my rotations yet.

I own Irreverent and 1740 and I love them both!! At the time when I smelled 1740 I went crazy over it that I bought a back up bottle not too long after I received the first one!! Patchuli, Leather and the Immortelle makes this like nothing I’ve ever smelled
In the same collection « En Aparté » I agree with your review of Irreverant. Outrecuidant I did not enjoy either . But PROLIXE. Oh my. It’s gorgeous. Deep oriental fruity gourmand, with a deep balsamic base. It is resinous, chocolaty (mostlty from the patch), and the labdanum comes alive in this perfume! Having watched most of your videos... i feel you would really enjoy it. Love what you do, have learned a lot! All the best.
I love Irrévérent although in general I do not enjoy smokiness in perfumes. It is very sweet on me. Amazing how differently we can perceive scents! I do not get any lilac in 1.2 or any other flowers, it gives sparkling, fruity vibe. My number one for now is 1.4. It was great to hear your stories about Histoires!
Great overview on a brand I don't know too much about. All sound great but 1725 is the first I'm going to check out. I like the sound of lavender with almonds.
Love 1740 and Ambre 114, but I'm also a big fan of 1899 Hemingway! There's something about it, that I can't really put my finger on, that really gets to me! It's kinda fresh but kinda dense! Really a great wear! 👍

Never sampled this house but you make some of the scents sound great. I'd like to try this isn't a blue bottle 1.6 and Marquis Des Sade. The amber sounds great too.
The only perfume I have from this house is Tubereuse 1 Capricieuse, which was hard to find but I love. I was always interested in Moulin Rouge and Marques de Sade, but they were hard to find in the states.

I'm pretty sure Ambrarem will make it into the top once you try it :) (I also love Petroleum for the ink smell and Marquise du Sade as I find myself partial to the immortelle note over the past few years)
I like 1804, it’s fresh, creamy, fruity and different with a good longevity, I really enjoy it. And I was looking for Tubereuse 3 for a long time, because I read that it was a exotic animalic tuberouse fragrance, and I love weird, animalist and a litte bit femenine, but it was none of those, except its more femenine, I don’t recomend you to blind buy it

I love when you do house overviews! I've known of this brand, but never had the chance to test their fragrances. From what I've seen on their website, the most that intrigued me were: 1725, 1828 and 1899. And from the blue bottles maybe 1.3 and 1.4 Maybe I'll try blind buying one if I find some good deal. I like 1969 too it's yummy indeed. But I can't wear it too often because of the rose. I can't wear rose fragrance too much because they makes me nauseous.

Fidelis would probably be my #1. Very confusing how HdP discontinued it last year (I called to confirm plus corresponded with a discounter who said the same) and now it's back on the website? Strange. A wonderful blend nonetheless. Hopefully they didn't change the formula in the new bottles. 1899 and 1740 round out my top 3.
He should carry his black caps with some sort of minimal logo in his merch store. That's one of his signatures, IMHO. I adore Sebastian, but am I right that his merch store needs help? He has so much more dynamism than the merch store. I think "Holy Neroli" is the only one I'd wear. Maybe it's just me. For example, though clever, I'm not sure I'd wear a tshirt featuring a whale pooping or one that says "Bring Back Oak Moss." This channel is brilliant; I wish the merch store were similarly scintillating--I have no doubt that Dana could help him out with making it world-class.

I just tried 1828 today and wondered if it was reviewed. It’s wonderful. Opens up with a fougere scent and dries down to a MFK grand soir scent.
I got the full discovery set to try out their fragrances for the first time and I was so pleased from packaging to fragrances!

1804 is George Sand and listed as a feminine amber floral. At first I was put off by the pineapple but now I like it.

Me to 1899 is great, also the 1828
1899 is great but it is generic at first sniff. The cinnamon makes the appearance in the heart notes and make the fragrance interesting.

My favorites are Ambre 114, N Patch, 1.4, and Veni. Veni smell like eating fresh tomato to me which is so bizarre and interesting at the same time!
Have you tried Fidelis ? I think you'll love it. Also Tuberose 3 Animale is a white flowers version of 1740.
Outrecuidant is another fantastic scent, gorgeous stuff.

I love the 1804 I tried the 1969 but I may have to give it another chance. I also think the 1969 smells like Marc Jacob's decadence.
