Everything about this song and performance are great but for some reason I love Joachim's little laugh at the end and Par's (bassist) hands on his head. Like neither of them can believe how big they've gotten and how much the crowd loves and engages with their work
Told you it's an epic song and an even more epic performance. I was actually there, 10th row on the left. We sang, and the epic moment made a lot of us both cry and laugh. We hugged each other and sang our hearts out in unison. I will never forget!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful, life changing experience! What an incredible gift to have been able to be there, and see them Live! Amazing! Love & Light!
I can’t hear this song without getting goosebumps and/or tears in my eyes (especially not this live version from Gothenburg). As a Swede, every time I listen to it, it fills me with pride, resolve, and with appreciation for those who sacrificed their lives so that I could be where I am today.
Told you it'd give you goosebumps!🥰 And your reaction was beatiful and dignified . This one is about the 30-years war in present-day Germany, 1618-1648
Nice reaction, I was at this show (sitting somewhere in the middle of the platform to the left from this view of the stage) Just before this clip started Joakim (the singer) said, no one carries around a lighter anymore but you all have phones right? So turn on your lights for this one. Then at the start of the video, he said totally wonderful, my friends, let's sing together en livstid i krig (a lifetime of war) They had sold out the arena so we were 10 766 metalheads in the arena that night (going by facts online and in the newspaper after the show) Needless to say, the goosebumps were heavy that night, no pun intended.
I was not in the crowd in gothenburg but I was in the crowd in Stockholm. It was the same as this. I will never forget all the mobile phones I saw and the crowd singing. That was so awesome. Then when I came home, I got covid. Lol. Worth it.
The feeling when the crowd sing the song is amazing 💥 I was at a concert with a little smaller crowd but the feeling was the same 🤘 Thanks from Sweden 🇸🇪
The Tommy effect hits also here ❤ You look so sad through the whole song, except when Tommy is zoomed in during the solo. Then your eyes lit up and you smile. He always does that!
Angie, you made my day/night with this, your reaction (fantastic!), and the gorgeous SABATON song "En Livstid I Krig - LIVE": it always gets me; it makes my heart punch again!
Nightwish and Sabaton, two very connected bands, and two of the greatest to exist today who know how to stir emotions like few others could even dream of 🤘
The lyrics are very emotional in this version. It describes the 30 years war in Europe (1618-1648) from a young Swedish boys perspective, sent out to a war far from home in a small village to a country he dont even know where it is. One can say that this conflict actually was the first world war, because so many nations was involved.
Another lovely reaction! May i leave one thing, an incident thats so 50s B-Movie like, but it really happened? Sabatons - The Last Battle! its so weird and so .....it happened, but you wouldnt believe it! Check out the Animated story!
I hope you could react to the Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø singing "O Helga Natt"? She is considered one of the world's top crossover sopranos and she even did the vocals in the Titanic movie.
Sabaton are amazing. Another amazing band for you to react to is ghost. Check out the newer stuff first as it’s more accessible but once you get into them the older stuff is great too
As has been said, this song is about the Thirty Years War. Sabaton has an english version of this song called "Lifetime of War" it's not as good, but it is more educational than Livstid i Krig which is more the human and emotional side of the war, where Lifetime of War is more historical and contextual. Also, go ahead and stick that tongue out lol! It's a reaction, you're supposed to express yourself
