He's credited with saving 12 US soldiers by going alone into fire and bringing them back one-by-one. All 12 survived, and he never took a physical scratch. He would be recognized by the United States with a Silver Star, but he was never recognized, even today as far as I know, by the Australian government. Nice reaction, I was at this show (sitting somwhere in the middle of the platform to the left from this view of the stage) The album Carolus rex they had released during that time is about a part of Swedish history called the era of great power (stormaktstiden in Swedish) from when Sweden was a much bigger nation with ambitions of expanding. The album was released with both an Swedish and English version,the difference being that the Swedish one tells the story from our/a Swedish soldiers view while the English is more from an outsiders view of the war. They had sold out the arena for this show so there was around 10766 metalheads in the arena, needless to say, it was one hell of a show that night.
