Hey, just a quick heads up for the Trixie mouse: my cat destroyed exactly 5 of these over the span of just a few months, especially the nose and eyes come off VERY easily! Be careful if you notice they are missing, because mine ate one of the parts and fortunately puked it back up. My cat loves these but also likes to eat them apparently, so just to warn you on advance. Same goes for the filling, it’s not the sturdiest mouse toy and rips pretty easily.

my cat LOVES those colorful springs, we play fetch with them: my cat brings the springs to me so I have to throw them and she runs like maniac to get them and soon brings one to me again :D

Just a small note about the last toy - laser toys can be quite bad for animals because they can get frustrated by not being able to actually 'catch' the thing they are chasing, which might make them become negatively 'obsessed' with light reflections from other things
Was about to comment the same. Hope PJ will notice it. He’s a good cat dad, I doubt he wants Fuji to feel like that
I remember hearing combining it with like a feather stick is a good combo, the lazer can get them interested, and they can the catch and chase the feather toy for the hunting stuff
@@stressedvulturejust to follow this up, absolutely yes!!!! Giving them a physical toy like a feather wand to chase and get their hunting energy out on is a must when using a laser pointer. I do this every time I (occasionally) use a laser pointer with my boys.

The flopping fish was a flop in our house too, until I put it in a large paper bag with catnip, and now it's the hot toy of the month for my cats!
Jackson Galaxy has extremely helpful videos on playing with your cat, it’a worth checking it out 😁 Cats need daily active play in their routine, preferably before their meal. Fuji can be like she was with the mouse, every day; and you get to enjoy the wholesome view 🥰

Omg same! Well, one of my cats. For some reason his sister doesn't give a slightest damn, but Kotfryd love them so much, that if I'm using one for make up and don't check on it every 5 seconds, he will steal it and will run around, jumping and rolling around with it XD

My cat is also an exclusively indoor cat, and the only thing she will ever play with is a yarn ball. She’s so uninterested in any toys I get her

My cat loves the springs, she hits them around and they bounce off things so she chases them. The puzzle is also a big hit and good for her to use her brain. Her other favourite thing is a pop up tent with tunnel 😅
My cats love these mint dental toys that I get from chewy or petco. Its so basic, but all four of them love it. So i always grab a few when I see them.
My cat fully enjoys the twist tie holding cat toys to the packaging more than any of the toys themselves lmao

Cats just love the most random cheap stuff lol...mine love plastic bottle caps, crunched up aluminium paper as balls, and paper bags...all the toys we actually bought them just lay in a corner 😂
My cat was scared of the flopping fish because it sounded mechanical. So we removed that bit and just filled it with catnip. Now she loves it 👍

Just a good intentioned psa: vets have warned that himalayan salt lamps to be very dangerous to cats. They lick it and get sodium poisoning.

Fuji is so sophisticated, my cats would've loved all those toys, except maybe the floppy fish, that one is too big to bat around and run after. Cleary, my cats are simple heathens.
The floppy fish are for grabbing and kicking with back legs, not really for batting around.
Fuji is one lucky girl, getting spoiled with all these toys!! ❤

th bug toy is suposed to be harder, what we do is you
cover the hole with the leif
place the treat under the bug away from the hole and the leif
then fuji will have to move the leafe out of the way, move the bug over to the hole and move it away from the hole to drop the treat in the hole

My cats will not use a puzzle feeder, but 1-2 x a week I hide treats around my place so that they have to “hunt” for them and they love it

Fuji reminds me of my late cate: too smart for her own good. She knows the toys aren't real and can't be bothered chasing them, but the moment there's a reward (food) she's all for it 😂😂
I avoid catnip toys for my cat, but her faves are toys that are light enough for her to bat around at with her paws

The spring toys were actually our fourth cat's favourite toys when she was a kitten. She doesn't really care for them now, but she went crazy for them then. We constantly had to buy more because they kept going missing from being batted around the house. Raises the question of where they're all hiding ...
My old cat had always seemed disinterested in most toys unless it involved catnip. After hearing about "mousers vs birders" I got a couple of toys with feathers (which I had avoided because of previous experience with cat-drooled feathers🤢) and it was night and day. I hear there are also "fishers" and "bug-gers", so it's more about what kind of movement attracts each cat than what we're told is popular. However, the most consistent hit through my life with cats has been a box on its side with some balls of wrapping paper.
My cat has one of the first mouse toys and she LOVES to play fetch with it. She's destroyed like 5 so far
My cat LOVES the ball gun. Well, not the gun so much as the puff balls it shoots. They're everywhere in my home. I find them under every doorway, on my bed when I wake up, wrapped in the bathmat after she has a wild chasing session. She's obsessed. She has a new favorite puff ball each day. Rosalind 75/10 would recommend.

Cat springs are my cats favourite thing in the whole world. You need a hard floor - they are for punting around and playing fetch with .. perfect size and weight for my l kitty (the fish terrified her … and yes check out Jackson Galaxy re: laser pointer toys and playing in general)

My youngest cat loves the door-hanging mouse. She tugs on it and launches it up...usually hitting me or my boyfriend as we're walking by lol.

Some cats just aren't toy cats. A lot of time cats work best in pairs. Even though knowledge on the animal may say otherwise. This is just my experience having two neutered adult male cats whom I've raised as kittens. One is extremely lazy and doesn't respond to toys and has to be in my presence all the time and cuddling me and I love him to death and he is like a son to me. The other is a bit younger and is a black panther who is very receptive to toys and quite playful. It's funny how some cats, all you have to do is give them cuddles and love when they want it and nothing else. The other may not necessarily be high maintenance, but loves to be played with. However both of my cats chase eachother and play with eachother in a non-malicious or territorial way as they cuddle together often. Hence why, if you I truly think cats work best in pairs.
My cat will get bored of store bought cat toys pretty quick but things he cant have like the laundry hamper (we need that) and balled up plastic bags (dangerous if swallowed) are his favorite 😭

My cat is a bug assassin I'm considering that ladybug. Not many toys really maintain her attention and she's immune to catnip but she's vicious whenever a bug appears.

cheapest toy: a Q-tip. Cats go balistic (with supervision ofc, I'm still scared of choking hazard)
+ tip for waning interest: any toy put aside for a while is suddenly new again when it reappears!
My cat's favourite toy is foam earplugs. She will open drawers to steal them hahaha. A close runner up though is anything she can bat around with her paw. Little scrunched up paper balls work amazingly
