I have a g29 and i must say that this ffb file from Christiaan is a game changer ! Since i have found this ffb file i find myself playing only Project cars 2. The feeling is awesome and i believe it has better ffb than Assetto Corsa now.
What one you use should i use with or without fss

These FFB files are fantastic. I've tried several different custom FFB files and these are the best by far on my Thrustmaster T300.

I don’t know why no one talks about the fact that pCARS2 multiplayer is amazingly convenient and thorough. Why it’s not the online model for all sims is beyond me. Anybody can set up any race they want in a minute’s time!
Andrew Moseley I think that’s a very good point. Some people tend to “throw the baby out with the bath water” and ignore the good in PC2 because of a few bad features and bugs

Mike, this is huge for this game. From what I am reading on the forum the author used SMs tyre model to base these settings off of. This is making me a faster driver as I truly feel the loss of adhesion. Brilliant!

@@flyingphoenix113 because everything other than FFB and physics in rFactor 2 is shit..... and yet nothing comes close to driving a 962c/917k on the laserscanned nordschleife.. even drifting makes assetto corsa feel like an arcade
Thank you for pointing out this file. It has improved the force feedback in this game immensely. I was using the Jack Spade files, and this one beats it by a mile on my G27.
I honestly didn't notice too much of a difference in force feedback for myself unless I installed the file wrong. From this video though I did learn to change my FX which was way too high and didn't allow me to even touch a kerb without it pulling me off track. Thank you for the video though always learn something new.
Mate!!!!! I’ve been trying since I got this game 4 months ago and I just gave up. I had some settings I found on TH-cam that was better. Now this, wow what an improvement I can feel so much and drive the way I wanted its so much smoother and more accurate. I constantly got wheel snap and lightness. Now it feel more like when I play my other games Assetto Corsa, F1,Gran Turismo Sport, iRacing. Finally I can enjoy Project cars 2. Thank you for posting this and the guy who made the settings.

Thanks for the upload, I just bought PC2 Deluxe edition(90$) for 22$ on sale! Yesterday, along with rfactor 1 and 2 for 22$ as well. I wish the rfactor 2 dlc wasn't so expensive tho, even with the sale.

Just wanted to say thank you for the tip - these FFB settings improve PCars 2 immensely! I never realized how much the FFB compromised my enjoyment of the game. Suddenly it's way easier to read the car.

@@SimRacing604 yes, this is crazy when you know the amount of time and energy to develop a simracing game and to finally end up with a poor FFB settings file. If they were smart, they could have refreshed PC2 with some brand new cars and simply update their FFB Settings file and that would have done the trick for a brand new PC3😝 better than the current one anyway...

Thrustmaster TX checking in, these settings have made me come back to PC2 and take it seriously. I could never get a good setup dialed in and compared to iRacing, it felt so crappy, but now... so nice.
Thanks for reminding me of how much fun and beautiful this game is.
P.S. I have bound the 'knob' on my wheel to FFB Vol+ and FFB Vol- and it also has made a HUGE difference on being able to fine tune each car on the fly.
My TX was a great wheel. Upgraded to a TS-XW but TBH the TX is exactly the same, just with a little less max power (which can be fixed by dialing down the FFB). I feel kinda dumb for blowing $700 on a side-grade ;)
Just installed this....I'm an assetto fan boy and all I can say is....I played this 8 hours straight and loved every minute of it.... seriously get this installed if you haven't already.....cheers Mike.improved my assetto experience and now project cars

I've given PC2 so many chances. I tend to spin out a hell of a lot more in this game than any other. I juxtaposed the Radical SR-3 with the same car (or equivalent) in Assetto Corsa, RFactor 2, and AMS 2 (using the P4 cars) and those cars handled so much better. I hope this makes the game playable for me
this file made my Thrustmaster MTX feels good again in this game so great job

this brought me back and the hype for ams2 but my good i always thought pc2 ffb was pretty good with some cars but this has changed it totally and for the better!

hi mike,i had pc2 on ps4 and for me the ffb was meh...Now i have got a good gaming pc and use the ps4 csl elite wheel, i decided to get pc2 this days after your video and i have tried this new custom ffb and...WOW REALLY A GAME CHANGER. For 25 euros i got everything and i am happy with that(i just have AC,ACC and RRE). Thks for the tips,really another game

Thanks! This made pc 2 playable for me. I wonder if it's necessary to choose that Custom for the flavour? If it is, maybe some people is not noticing difference because of not choosing that. Also that step was not mentioned on the pc 2 forum post.

Very exciting... gave up a LONG time ago with PC2. Is this mod still relevant? (Then I will give it a go).

It's getting updated very frequently (in spite of AMS2's release), and it's well-worth trying. I, too gave up on PC2 shortly after release, but the game is transformed by this FFB mod into a true sim. The sounds still suck, but, like Assetto Corsa, the modding community is slowly polishing this would-be turd into a gem!

I think these FFB settings are best suited for belt-driven wheelbases. I tried them with my direct drive wheel, but the results weren't so good sadly. It made the wheel resistance feel really hard to turn. Turning down the strength then made the wheel feel too light during other situations, so I couldn't find a good balance.
Tried that, still terrible for me. Shame, I love this title and will still support it' hopping that eventually they will get it right. For now RF2 is the best ffb for me.
No more updates and maybe they are working on pC3 now. Shame because pC2 is excellent in everything except the driving experience and FFB.
Which wheel do you have? I doubt any FFB will ever surpass AMS or RF2. They're perfect, and I've never understood why other sims don't just license their code (vs eternally trying to reinvent the wheel).
I always felt that the racedepartment and jack spade felt a little too light compared to RF2 FFB so I'll try this one out

I recently ordered an Accuforce V2 and looking forward to trying out this FFB profile in PC2. Do you also use a Sim Commander profile along with it? Do you have a video for your optimal Assetto Corsa FFB settings with the Accuforce? Thanks!
That's right! RF2 has the best ffb. Even assetto Corsa feels much better than PC2. THE GAME IS BEAUTIFUL! I've just got the HP REVERB. It gets breathtaking! The only problem is the ffb. I use the Fanatec 2.5 and before I was using the T500rs. It makes this piece of art toyish.
Any FFB tips using Xbox? The variety of settings is considerably limited 😞
Hey Simracing604; could you do a review of the Silver FFB? Imo this one is the best; with Pure you still get that crazy amount of delay between losing the rear and regaining tension on the wheel. Silver is tighter in that regard wich allows for very refined feel for when the car starts to slide without completely losing tension on the wheel..
(After fiddling for ages with custom settings) I've always been alright with Project Cars 2's FFB 'out of the box'.
What settings would you reccomend for a T300?

I'd recommend setting the worldmovement to 100 in order to get rid of the stupid headbobbing. :D
Simracing604 why is your steering ratio not 1 to 1 you have to steer way less in that formula renault. You got me very excited about the ffb tho thx for the info.
This isnt at all a night and day difference, rather a refinement. Though the raw and informative settings did lack in certain areas I believe people with direct drive wheels will benefit most from these settings.
AMS has the best physics/FFB and PC2 has the best everything else (tied with R3E for Audio, of course). Therefore I think AMS2 will be the dream sim we've all wanted. PC2 *could've* been it, if they had bothered to finish it.
Erich Swafford I agree, that PC2 and AMS bases will compliment each other nicely. I don’t agree about PC2’s sounds being on the same level as R3E though. R3E, AMS, and ACC are my top 3 sims for sound
@@SimRacing604 Agreed in principle. But Good Lord the Panoz in PC2 has to be the best-sounding sim car of all time.
The madness engine is great. All they had to do was make a good default feedback and reliable default setups.
People would've loved the game and stuck around. It's crazy.

FFB fidelity comes down to wheel used end of day like Spade has to many sharp jerks an oscillation

WAIT, I am still not feeling anything when too much throttle oversteer (for rwd) and not feeling anything for the downshift tire lock oversteer.
One question, I use the G920 on Xbox One X with PC2 since a couple of days. Is it possible to get those settings with the "GUI only" or is it Windows only?

I absolutely don't agree with you Mike. I tried this ffb custom files since that other video where people were telling you about it and in my opinion it's not even close ti rf2 ffb!
It's better that the Jack Spades thou... at least there's no more wheel jerkiness anymore when the car gets sideways

As the one who made the file I can agree that Project CARS 2 is definitely different in terms of force feedback than rFactor 2.
Also I think there is still a lot lacking in Project CARS 2 that are present in rFactor 2. One thing I really miss is tyre scrub, which is really important to that understeer feel.
I am trying to see if there is a way I can mimic it with the Physics metrics that I have access at, but the FFB script is rather limited in its ability.
Also I noticed that if I use anything based on time it will impact the feel and is making it grainy, as if the some part of the effects are switching on and off.
So at times some things might not be beneficial to add but rather detrimental to the whole.
My big hope is that Reiza and Slightly Mad Studios with Automobilista 2 will have fixed a lot of Project CARS 2 issues and short comings. Some of these things really need to be fixed/added on a tyre modelling or even Physics engine level.
So sometimes you have to concede and say you can't work miracles. Which is frustrating me, you and the rest who see the potential present within the Madness engine. As frustrating as losing the lead in the final laps like what happened to Charles LeClerc in the F1 Austria GP this weekend.
These FFB files make the wheel very light indeed and not for me I am afraid, I am off back to Jack for now. Thanks though.
What settings were you running with? Because for the Belt/DD driven file I altered the volume controls range, in fact it was halved because anything higher would result in clipping the signal and DD users liked to have a little more precise control over volume.
So yeah a previous volume 50 setting is now volume 100.
@@LogiForce86 I tried going all the wat to 100 and no dice, maybe they do not play well with the TSPC I am running. I iRace usually so not to concerned, thanks though.
@@gonzo3915 You haven't lowered your Thrustmaster global strength per chance?
Also if you have set it to 1080 degrees of rotation and forgot to calibrate the wheel in-game with that setting, it will end up feeling weak. The reason is that the game default is calibrated with driver defaults, which at the time I had a T500 was 900 degrees.

Any suggestion to minimize the g29 wheel deadzone on project cars 2? The ffb feels good with this custom ffb, but the deadzone is extremely noticeable. I can "fix" it on assetto corsa, raceroom and rfactor, but I can't seem to find a way to do it on PC2. Thanks!

Hey Mike i'm thinking about getting the accuforce v2. Im currently using g29 and i was hoping to be able to still use these pedals and h-shifter, at least for a while. Do you know if there's an adapter that I need for this to work?
There is an adaptor you can by for the Logitech shifter that lets you use it as a standalone device. Think I got mine from ebay. There are a few upgrades for it floating around now too.

i has this ffb - it is superb!!! but when i play career (even it shows christiaans ffb is working) the car feel way different than in quick race where i test cars. I know that tyres are cold in career mode at the begining, but after i heat them i do not get such great feel as in quick race with this great ffb mod! - any tips welcome. Thanks.

How hard is it to make ffb that mad studios are not making any attempts at it to make the game better?
Correct me if i am wrong, but the game focuses only on forces that are felt through the wheel, and the wheel ONLY! Other sims/these custom FFB files add other "fake" forces to help the driver identify things which otherwise would be felt through your body in a real car(so not fake, rly, but forces that you could not feel through a wheel). That's why they are not trying to make it better. It is in fact realistic. I've looked into these files myself and made my own. I did not understand every single part of it but i could clearly see other things besides pure rack forces added to the output.

Can someone please share their speed and steering sensitivity settings I really struggle with getting a proper feel with this game. For those that are running these new ffb files please tell me you steering and speed sensitivity or anything else I may have set up wrong
Steering sensitivity 50, speed sens 0. These should be the values for a realistic feel with a wheel, they are not rly up for preference. Steering sens makes steering unlinear, speed sens limits slip angle as speed increases. These settings were designed for keyboard and controllers, or if one wants an "arcade" wheel.
Tried it on Porsche GT3 R, Caterham 620, Formel Renault and Audi LMS... nope, nothing can fix PCars2 (and I played it over 1000 hours!)... the physic model is just wrong (especially the tires). Back to iRacing, Automobilista and some inbetween R3E, ugly as fuck but at least decent FFB/physics.
PS: Just switched back to Formel Renault in iRacing on same track -> 10x times scarier, much more connection to the road, WAYS better, and, much more plausible behaviour of the car, when in oversteer or pushing too hard out of corners... Pcars2 never got that right (especially on GT3 cars)

@@SimRacing604 you should use authentic settings and definetely not the default ones because default ones of course always have TC and ABS enabled because it's made for gamepad in particular... But, you should disable this in ANY sim as one of the first settings, surprised that you didn't.

Isn't it interesting, a lot of people drop this game because of the dogshit feedback. But a simple game supported custom feedback saves the game completely for me.
Also makes you wonder how this company wasn't able to achieve this themselves, when a lone person was.

Marian I like the Hugo Vai settings as well, but I think I like the Cristiaan settings slightly better. It’s great that there’s multiple options so everyone can find what works for them.
I agree with you Marian, after a quick comparison with the Caterham and Porsche GT3R and GT3RS I slightly prefer the Hugo Vai settings. I noticed a stronger Spring effect on the Christiann's Pure but finally I have more FFB infos and fun with Hugo's, but both are the best so far I agree !!! Thxs anyway to Mike for the demo !! I'll try it later maybe with some cars I found they could perform better with my wheel (Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer)...
G. P. Hi, I also have the ts pc racer. I used the Hugo file and found a constant vibration through the wheel. Do you get that? If not, how did you get rid of it?
I can't understand how SMS abandoned PC2...just like they did PC1. I won't buy PC3, but they may get some money from me if I buy Automobilista 2.

He says there are different versions
There is a gear driven version and one for belt/DD driven wheels. The difference is the deadzone removal for gear driven wheels.
what is the difference between standard fx and jack spade fx and which one should i use?
WNTW try them both. The Jack Spade should feel more “informative” and give a bit more detail through the wheel

You need to use custom as a flavour and not immersive to activate the file.
Unless you meant others should try those settings of yours.

Would love someone to help me with drift tuning . i can get it sideways but i play hell on the snap return . It moves way to fast , I can't keep up with it.
When you get sideways start pulling back a bit against the force feedback right away, and keep pulling more as you loose angle.

I once tryed the game on an old laptop with: i5 3320M 2.4ghz Turbo Boost up to 3.1ghz| 4gb Ram| Intel HD 4000| Lowest settings at 800x600 it was actually playable! I mean, graphics wise not amazing for sure but it was stable 30 fps.

@@SimRacing604 Huh, that's weird. Done a lot of research on that car (watched on-boards, even chatted with drivers via DM. Is that the Porsche Cup car or the GT3?

@@SimRacing604 OK, my "knowledge" is confined to the Cup car. In iR, the steering of the cup car is way too slow. At least in PC2 it's adjustable :) The cup car is my go-to sim comparison car, since they just about all have some version of it. For me (and the real drivers), the one in AMS is the gold standard. Can you imagine that car's feel with PC2 graphics/weather? Heaven!

The responses I got were very positive so far on Thrustmaster wheels.
I'm on vacation, or otherwise I could tell you how it works with my TS-XW. Go over to the thread on the PC2 forums and let us know. If I could get the FFB in PC2 to be *nearly* as good as AMS or rF2, I'd be in sim-racing heaven.

Wargasm yikes! Don’t give up. I love my v2. There’s lots of great guides for setting up your AccuForce. For PC2, use the Direct Drive setting of this FFB file, then use your SimCommander software and search by game. My go to profile is by The Extra Mile
