It's wonderful to see someone who loves FEH for almost the same reasons I do, this game really is a melting pot of FE culture and heritage. It's wonderful to see our familiar faces in new situations, seeing new sides of them and it's great seeing glimpses into characters from FE games that I haven't had the chance to play. Personally I stick with my boi Lyon, always loved him as a villain and now I get to keep the illusion he’s trying to reform. Also I’m trying my best to decided on a good free defensive armor unit, either Gwen or the axe armor unit

magoichi75 Sheena? I hear she is decent. Also, go Lyon! Since FE 8, he is my fav villain, and boosted Raven Tome is nothing to sniff at. A little slow for my taste, but decent bulk and damage, so not bad. I personally invested more into Arvis, but Lyon is next.
Illialidur He is a mixed bag given that most red tome users that they push out are either mixed or have drastic slow speed. If they just give him the option to weapon enhance his time he’d be at least rank 2

This was a really good video! The only problem I had with it is that you only looked at base kits, when skill inheiritence has been in the game for a long time, and there are quite a number of good units with bad base kits. That's only a nitpick though, I still enjoyed it a lot and am looking forward to the next video about this topic.
And yet Gwendy is there while her default kit is complete garbage. With SI she's one of the best tank but without it she has the worst skills of all armors in the game.
Yeah, BK asked me between Nino, Lyn, and Neph who was the best and worst, and I said as a stand alone unit, Nino was the worst since most of her God level performance comes from specific team boosts.
Todd Nelling true, but the list takes no skill inheritance into account, so her speed actually helps, and Nino's blade tome only helps when she is taken into account with a honing team, which was not what this list was about. For this list, blade tomes are less than useless.
I don't think Nino should count. She is pretty strong if you go through the trouble of training her in FE7, it is just that it is way too much trouble to train her for it to be worth it.

21:36 I legit squee'd when she was first announced, no joke. I wasn't able to finish the game (my game got jacked/stolen) but made it far enough to get her and I loved her character. I heard that she could be a destructive force if you use her right.
Nephenee (in addition to having a fantastic design) fills a weird niche for me in Path of Radiance. I have never had an average Nephenee. I've had some terrible Nephenees, and I have had some outright AMAZING Nephenees. Never in between. Something about her growths tends to hit an all or nothing for me. And, more often than not, she'll be the second most powerful unit on my team, after Ike. Her magic can even grow enough to use the Flame Lance.
I'll add some of my opinions on stuff like inheritance or just general one liners Lyn is definitely better. She is one of the few swords that can ploy and her weapon synergizes with wrath. Nephneph is now a good anti-meta unit with Dauntless Lance. Probably the best infantry lance unit now. Regarding the low res, she can fix her res with Berkut's lancer or Tannenboom. Nowi. Good enemy phase performance, but like every enemy phase unit, allow them to initiate combat and they're dead Mia. What's up with sword waifus? You'll notice this trend with other sword ladies like Karla and Ayra. Boy were people pissed at those two Sanaki. Explosion. But Lilina is a better one shot nuke Dorcas is a pretty good mixed tank. One of the few units that actually uses a DC weapon well because of his good mixed bulk Gwendy. Aaa. She and Sheena are your AA starter waifus. Arden lit Ignis. Just slap on Ignis and Death Blow. Earth Boost or Fire Boost are also decent options. Magic match ups suck, but you can use deflect magic Amelia. Lolis get boosted BST. Nuff said Ayra. Where Karla at? But both are really good. You were probably making this video for a long time and her inclusion is rather recent so I'll give it a pass
red light honestly Karla should have been #1. She was one of the most outclassed units in her game and now she's a contender for the #1 sword unit in heroes (she falls short of Ayra but dethrones Mia)
red light Sanaki was always a magical nuke, and mages weren't really the best at taking physical attacks anyway. Nephenee was awesome as a sentinel, and Mia was always better than Zihark in my play throughs, never really cared about the guy.
Infantry in horse emblem, bad bulk, unreliable avoid, and can't reliably one round without a brave sword (which Sigurd, Alec, Noish, Erin, and Beo can all use at base on a mount to see more combat to build kill stars faster) or a proc which isn't reliable.
JamesBLonde0059 It's not an absolute death sentence, but it's a big issue. Road bonuses give horses 3 more move than infantry, and gen 1 enemies are terrible. So the mounts will clear them out fairly easily before Ayra can get there, making it difficult for he to see combat. But Ayra also can't one round reliably, she needs procs to do so. Her survivability is bad since her defensive stats are poor and her avoid rates aren't high enough to be reliable in a game with 1RN. There's a reason why Lewyn/Tailtiu is considered the most optimal Lewyn pairing, Arthur gets a horse and can see more combat than Sety can once he promotes. Sety's still good for his staffing capabilities and his reliable one rounding, but Ayra isn't a good comparison to him since she doesn't have the offensive power or utility of Sety.
JamesBLonde0059 Actually it is, but Ced at least has uses other than combat as a foot unit. Ayra has nothing. Combat foot units in genealogy are irrelevant at best, because horses will do just fine in combat, while being far ahead. By the time Ayra reaches the combat, all your horses can have it covered.
Karla is my pick for the unit that improved the most. She’s probably one of the worst units in Blazing Blade, but is considered one of the three best sword units in Heroes. Her or Amelia, whose usefulness varies in her base game, but can be a GOD in Heroes. Then there’s Grey, who’s surprisingly tanky with good attack to boot, Est can become a powerhouse, and don’t even get me started on Nino. Also *BEAST UNITS WHEN*

My Ayra must've just been *really* lucky in my FE4 playthrough because for me she dodged everything like it was her goddamn birthright and spammed Astra like nobody's business (I did give her the Skill Ring tbf). I know objectively being on foot is definitely slower, but in some cases its not absolutely terrible like in Ch 3, where you can send your infantry up north for that castle and the subsequent pirates and then have your cavs run around to get rid of the squad at the east and EIdigan's cross knights to the west and Chagall. I wish more maps were designed that way in Genealogy to have split paths so you could have your infantry still be useable (and more circumstances where you actually NEED to defend the castle to give Arden love. The only time I felt pressured to build a defense was Chapter 9 with Arion's "3 headed dragon strike")
A very fun list Blazing Knight, your analysis of each unit that appeared on the list was unique and the jokes you included gave the video a sort of liveliness to it, well done. I don’t have anything to offer In terms of what unit in FE: Heroes are good or bad compared to their original game appearances but I will say this... addressing the over use of memes and the complaining about “certain” alts (Sanaki) among the fandoms was good move to make (in my eyes anyway). Memes can be fun but over using them drains the joy you got from them and it devalues important discussions. Sorry for ranting, keep up the good work.
This is one of the most unique lists, but this one I would argue is definitely one that is much more factual based than opinion based. 10. Lyn: Still haven't gotten her. 9. Nephenee: Still haven't used her that much, as I am really debating to sacrifice her for that Wrath skill. If anyone with Wrath is going to get the 4* treatment downgrade, I feel Nephenee might just be it. 8. Nowi: Oh man, Nowi is like a monster so many times. She's basically the top tier unit that you will always find in Arena matches. Thanks to refinery and Lightning Breath, she is a monster. One that I fear to ever take on. There are strategies to fight her, but man, even the counters have gotten to the point that she can take them on. Planning on trying to strengthen her more. I have a +DEF/-RES one, but I hear that -SPD or -HP would be better. 7. Mia: Thing about Mia that pissed me off is how she has Flashing Blade, which is actually Dancing Blade, Marth's attack from Super Smash Bros, and is meant to be Heavy Blade's opposite from Fates. Cause Marth's class, the Lodestar has this skill, in contrast to Ike's Vanguard's class. But you know, since Zihark is still not in Heroes, you get the feeling he'll power creeping Mia? 6. Sanaki: Was it too much to give her the role of bridesmaid or flower girl? I mean, come on! 5. Dorcas: I had no idea there was a meme of joke about the poisoned mutton until I saw the Askr Investigations. Was disappointing, to say the least, but anyway. Yeah, Dorcas in Heroes is a powerhouse, having a weapon with Distant Counter, which is already an automatic plus, but also having Quick Riposte and Fierce Stance, he basically nukes anyone that foolishly attacks him. Much better than FE7's counterpart. 4. Gwendolyn: Sorry, I have not used her. She's mainly for fodder for the Hone Armor skill. But I will say that she's been pretty dangerous as an enemy in my Arena playthroughs. 3: Arden: I've been wanting to use Arden, but I haven't had any chance to. Most of the time, his slot is filled with the Black Knight because of the Distant Counter, and DC is super rare thanks to Hector. :/ 2. Amelia: Haven't gotten her yet, but she has been a threat to me from Arena matches since she's tanky and powerful. 1. Ayra: You know my friend and I have a strong dislike for her because she was the first power creep Lucina ever. She completely outclasses Lucina in every way that it is annoying. Especially since I wanted to make Lucina stronger, but now Lucina is the one on the benchwarmer as there are better units than her. (I'm sorry Lucina, I still love you. ;-;)
If you giver her the bond refine, she should be able to fight back Ayras. Mine has Chill Spd, I love seeing Ayras on the defense list and imagine their faces when a Lucina suddenly debbuffs, doubles and kill them.
10 : I have her and I find her still quite weak, not like in the original game however since she can be a good anti-magic warrior 9 : Nephenie is quite powerful thanks to wrath and her unique spear but magic can easily kill her, she also has quite low HP. 8 : Nowi is a monster girl, I have an ATK+/SPD- one and only Julia and Deirdre can OHKO her, even Lucina with Falchion can't counter her. My first 5stars unit and still one of my mains today. 7 : Mia : I don't have her but she can do a lot of damages on unprepared teams ... As for me, she doesn't have any chance against my Nowi :3 6 : I don't use the original Sanaki but the bride version. She is very powerful but it's like Lute ... very weak to physical attacks but can OHKO almost non-magic resistant units. 5 : I don't use him but I don't really like to fight against him since he is quite resistant to magic. Fortunately, he is quite rare to be found. 4 : I don't find her that strong but maybe it's because I can OHKO her with Sanaki. 3 : I don't use him (I just don't like him :p) 2 : Amelia : A monster that can be only killed by non-blue and grey magic. A monstrous speed (maybe the best between all Armored units), a huge amount of HP and DEF and a really decent amount of ATK and a skillset composed of Threaten DEF both in C (-10 def every turn :3) and seal she is a huge wall. Just add Noontime as special and one turn of 2 she can heal by herself :3. And if you are a big sadistic people, just add poison strike as B :3 1 : I don't have her but I want her, even if I can kill easily with Nowi (again her :p) but she can do a lot of damages to my other team members.
It's funny. Mia always ends up outperforming Zihark for me in both Tellius Games. Or at least: she ends up killing more people. Both are always part of my teams.
If the newest Elibe banner counted, Karla would easily be #1. Also just a little thing about FE4, being swordlocked isn't a bad thing at all since swords are the best weapon type in FE4
I haven't played much, as I'm currently going through the game, but if the rest of the game has as many axe units as the first couple chapters of gen 1 then I can see why.
According to you: Dorcas had good HP and strength, was bulky with the speed to double. What was wrong with him then? You give him secret books and make him a monster. Also my Nephenee maxed pretty much all stats in Path of Radiance. The nice thing about Fire Emblem is that it is different each time you play it and you make different connections to characters each time as well
Ok for Nephenee it just because her base stats are terrible, same with her Strength growth and to make thing worse she get quickly outclassed by Oscar and Marcia who can do her job better. Also she foot lock and starts as E level lances.
Nephenee has better skill and defense growth rate, Marcia has better luck and res the rest of their growth rates are the same. I just checked and my Nephenee had max strength Skill and Speed at level 16 in my last play through. Nephenee has Wrath and Luna as a occult skill which is far far batter than Stun. Additionally I would argue that Nephenee has better max stats with Marcia's max 25 strength being pretty weak.
I specifically said "base set vanilla versions only", this includes no weapon refines, Nowi was the only exception I made because I felt with how hers worked it was a significant point of interest.
Ayra being one of the worst gen 1 units? Really? She has astra and high speed, also brave sword + astra is a thing. Also, How is Lachesis better than her? She is a staff bot with crappy magic growth
El Imperio de Lalo No, but in the context of 4 it kinda does, enemy quality in Genealogy is terrible, especially in gen 1. So it's not hard to do well in combat even with not the best stats, which is why Noish and Alec do well in FE4 tier lists. And when road bonuses give mounted units 4 more move than infantry, being an infantry unit fucking hurts. With enemies being easy to clear out and mounts reaching them so much faster, infantry units struggle to see combat.
of course having a horse does not guarantee being good, but in Genealogy NOT having one guarantees you're "ehh" at best, especially in efficient play. The best proof of this is Shanan. Thanks to Balmung, he can fuck over the final chapter at base... and yet, he's considered a "meh" unit because he lacks a horse. I think that says quite a lot.
An awesome, surprisingly informative video! Myrmidons are my favourite class type and I love using them, which does leave my with an abundance of swords sometimes Mia is my favourite FE character, and I agree that using her in PoR is rather painful, however I honestly think she's arguably the best trueblade in Radiant Dawn (Either her or Edward, another big favourite of mine, so I mmmmight be biased) and I'm so glad she's so amazing in Heroes, it's an absolute joy to use her I also actually said "Nooo!" out loud when you benched Mia and threw her in the trash lol

That update made us all fear the dragons in FE Heroes
I don't really care about any new forms of characters unless I find them appealing to me. But I got to say I agree with your choices. Gwendolyn (if I spelled it right.) is one of my favorite units just from what I've heard you say about her! Which is making it really difficult because I'm trying to figure out my army for when I eventually get binding blade on my wiiu/ switch.
Wait...wait...nephenee....really. She got me through Lunatic mode in path of radiance and radiant dawn.. To me she's like the villager unit of path and dawn. Nowi is lolli granny lol. She showed me to one of top two waifu's...ah Hilda, I love Stella Glow. Mia was another unit I used through the end game. For whatever reason she outperformed Zihark. The only encounter I've had with Lyn is warriors and even then I prefer Lucina, my lunatic slaughterer, my main in smash, my main in warriors, and the main waifu standing next to Hilda. Amelia! Ah the memories of you slaughtering everything as a General. Who needs to move when the enemy kills themselves.
To be fair you Lyn fans aren't the only ones that suffered since other fans of other most wanted characters like Bomberman Waluigi and Krystal for example feel the same pain as you Lyn fans did.
Payton Butler I don't care for Waluigi that much i'm just saying that they share the same pain as the ones that didn't have their character make it in as playable that's all, even though Waluigi fans kinda took it too far with the death threats and harassment and all which was not right but you know.
1, great video, glad I could help in some small way. 2, they may say he got worse, but while Seth can no longer solo the game, once you see my Seth, you will forget he was ever bad. 3, first time you have use FE 16 in a video, I say that clip. Unless you discount the Nintendo E3 Livestream of course. 4, if only you had seen Karla, dude. She surpasses everything so stupidly I think she would have gotten number one. 5, you should look up the hundred health Arden build. It is scary. Loses to my Arvis, sure, but scary.
Karla being better here than her original game I don't mind... what bother me however is the fact she got better to the point where she POWERCREPT AYRA! She has skills that surpass Ayra's along with the base kit that she gets just summoning her, no skill inheritance needed to buff her up even more than she already has and yet if you do give her more skills to inherit it is basically overkill
This list starts hard, Lyn and Nephenee were both units that I found to be strong units that can be paired up with another unit and clear one side of a map. I guess I had good RNG, but they are also both really strong in heroes.
Objectively he is... at least on hard mode, granted there are worse units but Aran's bases are poor and like Nephenee is lance locked in an axe dominant game, and though he is very bulky when leveled up, he has serious speed and res issues, despite this I do like using him.
Personally, I always found Lynn to be a bit overpowered. She could critical or dodge most things, and due to having multiple unique swords, she had higher crit than the other sword users. Also, her receiving a bow was quite the perk as sword masters tend to lack versatility, and this bow allowed her to fight at multiple ranges. (And this versatility is why hand axes and javelins remain useful throughout the whole game.)

Ayra one of the worst FE4 character? What? Did you play the same game? Myrmidons are OP in Jugdral. Other characters can carry the brave sword, but do you remember how garbage the trade system is in FE4? Sword lock? A good thing, sword are the best in FE4. Footlock? She is one of the best candidate for the leg ring. Only legendary weapon holders are better than Ayra (except Bridgid, since she can't retaliate, and Quan because he only have Gae bolg for one chapter... i mean, one third of a chapter.)
Except it's universally agreed upon that mounted/footlocked and Sylvia has priority on the Leg Ring before handing it to Sigurd. Ayra's great but fuck if she's overrated

TrabantTheDastard why should the leg ring go to ayra and not sigurd or sylvia? Leg ring comes late in chapter 3. There are many things that are easily accessible to a mounted unit there is also canto which is insane in genealogy.
10- I remember when the game just came out I got lucky and pulled Lyn as one of my first 5 stars, and she was invaluable during my early days. 9- Speaking as someone who still hasn’t played PoR it RD, Nephenee seems awesome. I love her personality and Wrath is amazing. 8- Nowi may not be my out right favorite dragon character, that’d be Tiki, but like Lyn she was essential in my early runs. Plus she’s easily likable. 7- Don’t have Mia yet, so I can’t really speak. 6- Don’t have Sanaki either, RNG can be cruel sometimes. 5- Steady Breath+Aether+Stout Tomahawk= The Undying. Love me this man. 4- Probably should invest the feathers in her, could always use another armored unit. 3- Someone I regrettably short changed on first impression, still hoping some TT characters get in the summoning pool just so I can make him even better. 2- Reasons to love her, 1) armor march 2) amazing speed for an armor unit 3) that smile. 1- That Regnal Astra has been my biggest blessing and curse, I swear it completely ignores the weapon triangle sometimes.
If you have Lillina with an atk boon, go for her. She is Sanaki but better, with an incredibly broken legendary tome that has chill res and death blow. Coupled with another death blow on her A and atk boon, she can reach 66 atk before buffs or seals. Add an atk+3 seal and tactics atk and she is at 75 atk. And if the chill res affected the unit you are targeting, 7 extra damage. I've seen her oneshot even some tanky blues!
Try not to get caught up in the community's weird hatred for Nephenee. I, alongside my friends who've gone through Tellius found her damn near overpowered. Like MANY RPG characters who gain Exp, she takes a little work early, early on, but by the midway point and on of both Path and Dawn, she just doesn't get hit hardly ever and when she does, it's for like 4 Dmg, so if Wrath even has a chance to activate, (which it will- -that Skill stat...) she'll stay in that state comfortably forever, critting everyone. I give her a Skill called 'Provoke' that actually draws enemy attention so she can act like a speedy, skillful, both Def AND Res wall, doing a waay better job than a Knight or General without the Speed and Movement penalties. She's like a perfect defensive Myrmidon. You'll wish she were in every game. Tellius is the best; get on it, giirrl! :::)))
Also, Number 0 goes to Nino... Utter late game trash in her game, she became the F2P queen in heroes... I couldn't imagine getting through early game without using Nino/Eirika/Tiki/Nowi

Another FEH vid from Blazing? Oh my! Some thoughts from my experience with it overall A shame some of the entries didn't get their full potential to show off just how monstrous they are. While Nowi is tiers above the rest in sheer power and reliability with breath skill/aether, I think many still underestimate the one punch power of Gwendy. Short version, on my team as a 4*+10 she gets up to 73 def under ideal conditions ignoring terrain. On her own I have her reaching 59 def with Vengeful fighter, Ignis and Harmonic(+10dmg) Lance when attacked. Both instances she swings over a hundred damage. Mia and Ayra I'll have salt against, due to Ayra's release and both of their stats and weapon. Also large thanks to Athena becoming worse than Mia in every stat and Ayra taking over speed demon with actual damage(and then some). Main one I've enjoyed is the alts on Lyn(along with others), still waiting on certain characters. Even an axe Charlotte kodsarnit! However at the end of the day, we do get to play with our favorite units and use them as we please...Most of them. I look forward to seeing the next entry and wonder if Mathilda is being considered. Broke my heart to see her balanced to the point of mediocrity
Was Ayra really that bad in fe4? She dodges most of the enemies in the chapter she joins, astra is absolutely insane and she’ll proc it all the time thanks to her high skill, she gets a free brave sword in chapter three which lets her hit 10 times with astra, her base attack and speed are great, and not having a mount isn’t that bad. She’s a better combat unit than Alec, Noish, Midayle, and Beowolf, and Cuan and Fin leave after chapter three. While she is certainly better in heroes, the difference isn’t as big as it is for Gwendolyn or Nino.
Rockstar Eddie9000 She is not really bad, but people needs to understand that Jugdral femyrms are quite mediocre. She is a sword-locked Infantry unit in the game where maps are ginormous as hell, her durability is on the low side while her avoid is 50/50. One is gonna said: "You could give her the Leg Ring!" but why you would give her that when Sylvia or Sigurd use it much better than she ever will. Like even Lewyn use it well since he has access to 1-2 range and his combat is the best among Gen 1's Infantry units.
mhm she isn't the best unit in the world like the godlike Seth and marcus or even hector. its just her lack of res def and str however everything else works like skill and speed are great. I feel like I would remember Lyn more than Eliwood in the story. I would always remember hector cause hector and Lyn with the mani katti is a great boost to help her clean sweep enemys in two hits. with the heaven seal in chapter 24 she could pretty much solo with the right supports. she was also my first lord since blazing sword was my first game even thought im not great with fire emblem games. I still play blazing sword to this day and even thought A LOT of peopl.e don't like her its there opinion and I have mine
@@BLAZINGKNIGHT50 Save a side story chapter with her level so she can just work fine and will catch up really fast. Her flow is Dragonstone usage through. You need chapter 12 or invoke Tiki by streetpass. (Last is cheating) She'll become a monstruous unit who can beat every map. She is a trainee after all. She is lv3 so she'll level up really quickly And with a +13 defense and +9 resistance she is probably bulkier than everything in your party, taking no damage even in the last chapter. And she can attack with 2 range. She was an one man army in my run, tanking in pair with Frederic (Movement and defense bonus are strong, and Frederic is probably one of the best pair who doesn't want xp at all) all the bottom part of final chapter. Just take some elexir because magic still hit her Solary Nah can just sit around with Dragon stone+ stacked, but you need to do genetics. She is useless in a lunatic+ run through, but lunatic+ is a run which Virion became usable... Proprely build is just level up x)

But this guy is really useless because you can't build him effectively in lunatic. 50% minimum everywhere... 120%hp and 65% in average. But you should give her a try and grind her in lunatic with the technic of keeping earmy side quest chapter for her. She'll finish with 50+ defense and 45+ magic resist, alongside middling++ speed and max hp (Without a pair up) which make her one of the best unit in the game. (Actually only gen 2 unit can beat her in pure tanking). I really think the Heroes version did it right It's over the topic but I want to promote bow in awakening There is the thing with bow being useless which is false. Lunatic+ is a strange meta which bow is the best weapon in the game for three major reason - Counter is everywhere and bow is the only weapon which don't counter attack in close range. Actually this sole reason make bow strong in lunatic+ - Flyer advantage (Well it's the same with wind magic but it's a plus) - Bow is the best way to kill lunatic+ Grima. (More like the only way) With a warrior of course. You should try to build a warrior with brave bow in lunatic, you can one shot Grima with one if you pair up with Lucina. Probably without lucina if you use hardcore genetics. Bow is indispensable in lunatic+. I never beat it without it. And so it's not useless, but not usefull in lower setting. (Exept lunatic for killing Grima)
I think legault is a good example of this. He can't promote until chapter 28x, and he overall doesn't have enough strength compared to Raven and Sain. His supports are with bench warmers or late recruits, and he himself is recruited in chapter 20! He's actually quite good in heroes though. Another example is the aforementioned Gwendolyn. Her red may seem low, but her status as a lance user patches it up SO WELL! Berkut's lance res forged, res boon, distant defense, and +10 merge results in *54 res!* Best girl, best unit.
Ayra definitely surprised me, I didn't even know she was considered a bad unit as astra always made her and her children my go to unit to put into the range of 10+ enemies and end my turn to go for a drink and see that no enemies were left by the time I returned.
I absolutely agree with all of these...except for Nowi. She was already incredible in Awakening, it doesn't take her long to be one of the best units in the army from my experience. But in Heroes? Damn...going up against a +10 Nowi is always terrifying
I know he's a Holiday unit but I think Valentine's Conrad is my favorite Unit in this entire game. Still. He's been the main tank on my team since his first banner, and he has the highest resistance of ANY of my units to this day. He's the only unit I go out of my way to try to get as many merges as I can. It's actually kinda hard for me to utilize tanks to begin with, but set up his skills right and he'll also have a pretty mean attack, too. As far as Echoes Conrad goes, though. . . He mostly falls by the wayside specifically because he's workign for the wrong army lol By the time Celica gets him, there's a huge number of maps that do not coincide peacefully with Paladin units.
How the heck was Roy not on the list? A foot locked, sword locked unit who doesn't promote until the end of the game and who's only redeeming factor is the most broken end-game weapon of all time! Just saying, he should be on the list.
Because he's actually better than Lyn objectively since being sword lock in BB isn't a problem as the game host many axe users, also he has perfect availability, Lyn doesn't and is sword locked in a lance focused game.
Man, the more I play FE, the more I hate the fact that most games don't have (common/buyable) ranged swords. So many sword-locked units would be better if IS allowed for that in more games. I'm surprised you only mention the weapon refine for Nowi and not Lyn, Nephenee Sanaki, etc. .Also, Honorable mention to Nino.
He mentions it for Lyn. He says that "Lyn has Desperation and Brash Assault on her Sol Katti", but that's only posible if you give Sol Katti its effect refinement, so he did mention it. Kinda. About Sanaki... her refinement is situational at best, and while when she is next to a flyer she becomes even more of a nuke, it's not on the same league as, say, Sol Katti or Forblaze. Ultimately, while Forblaze is only marginally weaker than Raudrblade but much more versatile and easy to use, Cymbeline is objetively worse than Raudrblade in almost every way, and Raudrblade doesn't have a refine. Nephenee's new weapon came after the scatered fangs banner, and Blazingknight said that he wouldn't cover Scattered FAngs or anything after that. That said, refining her old slaying lance made her even better, that much I agree. My Neph used to run a def+ slaying lance (as she is def+ atk-), so she was Lukas' level of physical tank, at 42 def with no merges.

Swords can also hit ranged target, did you know you can have two magic swords ing Gen1 ? Thunder sword drop upon killing a boss on chapter 3, and you gain the Wind Sword when you bring Dew to the Blaggi tower. ( I assume you never see the Wind Sword, because Dew is a foot unit and you consider foot unit garbage, without looking to the stats or global utility -Astra : "luck based skill... not reliable" I already know you will say that but 16 base skill + 5 skill from the skill ring dropped by the boss following her recruitement + 5 skill from the promotion. That's a wonderfull 26% luck of launching Astra, without considerating the skill GR (60%). 26% of launching astra, and the fact she double (quad with the hero sword), she has a high chance of launching it in one battle -Nihil : Allow her to not fear the few, but dangerous killer weapon ennemies users. -Adept : When promoted, Ayra have adept, a speed based skill allowing to deal more blow And for your counter argument, I want do respond to them in advance : -Brave sword can be trade to one the garbage horse like Noish or Alec : The hero sword will cost them 8 000 Gold, if I remember correctly, but they only starts with 2 000 gold, and this is not enought to buy the Brave Sword. (And they have a lot of trouble to defeting more than the first ennemy in arena, so I don't see were they will find the gold necessary... -Horse can reach ennemy first : Please think about it, what is the best between reach the ennemy first, but not being able to defeat more than one of two because of a lack of speed and damage OR taking a few more turn to reach the ennemy but annihilate them ? The only problem I had with it is that you only looked at base kits, when skill inheiritence has been in the game for a long time, and there are quite a number of good units with bad base kits. That's only a nitpick though, I still enjoyed it a lot and am looking forward to the next video about this topic.

Yeah, BK asked me between Nino, Lyn, and Neph who was the best and worst, and I said as a stand alone unit, Nino was the worst since most of her God level performance comes from specific team boosts.
Todd Nelling true, but the list takes no skill inheritance into account, so her speed actually helps, and Nino's blade tome only helps when she is taken into account with a honing team, which was not what this list was about. For this list, blade tomes are less than useless.
I don't think Nino should count. She is pretty strong if you go through the trouble of training her in FE7, it is just that it is way too much trouble to train her for it to be worth it.

Nephenee (in addition to having a fantastic design) fills a weird niche for me in Path of Radiance. I have never had an average Nephenee. I've had some terrible Nephenees, and I have had some outright AMAZING Nephenees. Never in between. Something about her growths tends to hit an all or nothing for me. And, more often than not, she'll be the second most powerful unit on my team, after Ike. Her magic can even grow enough to use the Flame Lance.
She's only been a goddess to me.

Lyn is definitely better. She is one of the few swords that can ploy and her weapon synergizes with wrath.
Nephneph is now a good anti-meta unit with Dauntless Lance. Probably the best infantry lance unit now. Regarding the low res, she can fix her res with Berkut's lancer or Tannenboom.
Nowi. Good enemy phase performance, but like every enemy phase unit, allow them to initiate combat and they're dead
Mia. What's up with sword waifus? You'll notice this trend with other sword ladies like Karla and Ayra. Boy were people pissed at those two
Sanaki. Explosion. But Lilina is a better one shot nuke
Dorcas is a pretty good mixed tank. One of the few units that actually uses a DC weapon well because of his good mixed bulk
Gwendy. Aaa. She and Sheena are your AA starter waifus.
Arden lit Ignis. Just slap on Ignis and Death Blow. Earth Boost or Fire Boost are also decent options. Magic match ups suck, but you can use deflect magic
Amelia. Lolis get boosted BST. Nuff said
Ayra. Where Karla at? But both are really good. You were probably making this video for a long time and her inclusion is rather recent so I'll give it a pass
red light honestly Karla should have been #1. She was one of the most outclassed units in her game and now she's a contender for the #1 sword unit in heroes (she falls short of Ayra but dethrones Mia)
red light Sanaki was always a magical nuke, and mages weren't really the best at taking physical attacks anyway. Nephenee was awesome as a sentinel, and Mia was always better than Zihark in my play throughs, never really cared about the guy.

Infantry in horse emblem, bad bulk, unreliable avoid, and can't reliably one round without a brave sword (which Sigurd, Alec, Noish, Erin, and Beo can all use at base on a mount to see more combat to build kill stars faster) or a proc which isn't reliable.
JamesBLonde0059 It's not an absolute death sentence, but it's a big issue.
Road bonuses give horses 3 more move than infantry, and gen 1 enemies are terrible. So the mounts will clear them out fairly easily before Ayra can get there, making it difficult for he to see combat. But Ayra also can't one round reliably, she needs procs to do so. Her survivability is bad since her defensive stats are poor and her avoid rates aren't high enough to be reliable in a game with 1RN.
There's a reason why Lewyn/Tailtiu is considered the most optimal Lewyn pairing, Arthur gets a horse and can see more combat than Sety can once he promotes. Sety's still good for his staffing capabilities and his reliable one rounding, but Ayra isn't a good comparison to him since she doesn't have the offensive power or utility of Sety.
There is a reason why FE4/5 are called Horse Emblem for a very good reason.
JamesBLonde0059 Actually it is, but Ced at least has uses other than combat as a foot unit. Ayra has nothing. Combat foot units in genealogy are irrelevant at best, because horses will do just fine in combat, while being far ahead. By the time Ayra reaches the combat, all your horses can have it covered.

Karla is my pick for the unit that improved the most. She’s probably one of the worst units in Blazing Blade, but is considered one of the three best sword units in Heroes. Her or Amelia, whose usefulness varies in her base game, but can be a GOD in Heroes. Then there’s Grey, who’s surprisingly tanky with good attack to boot, Est can become a powerhouse, and don’t even get me started on Nino.

My Ayra must've just been *really* lucky in my FE4 playthrough because for me she dodged everything like it was her goddamn birthright and spammed Astra like nobody's business (I did give her the Skill Ring tbf). I know objectively being on foot is definitely slower, but in some cases its not absolutely terrible like in Ch 3, where you can send your infantry up north for that castle and the subsequent pirates and then have your cavs run around to get rid of the squad at the east and EIdigan's cross knights to the west and Chagall. I wish more maps were designed that way in Genealogy to have split paths so you could have your infantry still be useable (and more circumstances where you actually NEED to defend the castle to give Arden love. The only time I felt pressured to build a defense was Chapter 9 with Arion's "3 headed dragon strike")
A very fun list Blazing Knight, your analysis of each unit that appeared on the list was unique and the jokes you included gave the video a sort of liveliness to it, well done. I don’t have anything to offer In terms of what unit in FE: Heroes are good or bad compared to their original game appearances but I will say this... addressing the over use of memes and the complaining about “certain” alts (Sanaki) among the fandoms was good move to make (in my eyes anyway). Memes can be fun but over using them drains the joy you got from them and it devalues important discussions. Sorry for ranting, keep up the good work.

This is one of the most unique lists, but this one I would argue is definitely one that is much more factual based than opinion based.
10. Lyn: Still haven't gotten her.
9. Nephenee: Still haven't used her that much, as I am really debating to sacrifice her for that Wrath skill. If anyone with Wrath is going to get the 4* treatment downgrade, I feel Nephenee might just be it.
8. Nowi: Oh man, Nowi is like a monster so many times. She's basically the top tier unit that you will always find in Arena matches. Thanks to refinery and Lightning Breath, she is a monster. One that I fear to ever take on. There are strategies to fight her, but man, even the counters have gotten to the point that she can take them on. Planning on trying to strengthen her more. I have a +DEF/-RES one, but I hear that -SPD or -HP would be better.
7. Mia: Thing about Mia that pissed me off is how she has Flashing Blade, which is actually Dancing Blade, Marth's attack from Super Smash Bros, and is meant to be Heavy Blade's opposite from Fates. Cause Marth's class, the Lodestar has this skill, in contrast to Ike's Vanguard's class. But you know, since Zihark is still not in Heroes, you get the feeling he'll power creeping Mia?
6. Sanaki: Was it too much to give her the role of bridesmaid or flower girl? I mean, come on!
5. Dorcas: I had no idea there was a meme of joke about the poisoned mutton until I saw the Askr Investigations. Was disappointing, to say the least, but anyway. Yeah, Dorcas in Heroes is a powerhouse, having a weapon with Distant Counter, which is already an automatic plus, but also having Quick Riposte and Fierce Stance, he basically nukes anyone that foolishly attacks him. Much better than FE7's counterpart.
4. Gwendolyn: Sorry, I have not used her. She's mainly for fodder for the Hone Armor skill. But I will say that she's been pretty dangerous as an enemy in my Arena playthroughs.
3: Arden: I've been wanting to use Arden, but I haven't had any chance to. Most of the time, his slot is filled with the Black Knight because of the Distant Counter, and DC is super rare thanks to Hector. :/
2. Amelia: Haven't gotten her yet, but she has been a threat to me from Arena matches since she's tanky and powerful.
1. Ayra: You know my friend and I have a strong dislike for her because she was the first power creep Lucina ever. She completely outclasses Lucina in every way that it is annoying. Especially since I wanted to make Lucina stronger, but now Lucina is the one on the benchwarmer as there are better units than her. (I'm sorry Lucina, I still love you. ;-;)
If you giver her the bond refine, she should be able to fight back Ayras. Mine has Chill Spd, I love seeing Ayras on the defense list and imagine their faces when a Lucina suddenly debbuffs, doubles and kill them.
Can't wait to +7 my Mask marth.

10 : I have her and I find her still quite weak, not like in the original game however since she can be a good anti-magic warrior
9 : Nephenie is quite powerful thanks to wrath and her unique spear but magic can easily kill her, she also has quite low HP.
8 : Nowi is a monster girl, I have an ATK+/SPD- one and only Julia and Deirdre can OHKO her, even Lucina with Falchion can't counter her. My first 5stars unit and still one of my mains today.
7 : Mia : I don't have her but she can do a lot of damages on unprepared teams ... As for me, she doesn't have any chance against my Nowi :3
6 : I don't use the original Sanaki but the bride version. She is very powerful but it's like Lute ... very weak to physical attacks but can OHKO almost non-magic resistant units.
5 : I don't use him but I don't really like to fight against him since he is quite resistant to magic. Fortunately, he is quite rare to be found.
4 : I don't find her that strong but maybe it's because I can OHKO her with Sanaki.
3 : I don't use him (I just don't like him :p)
2 : Amelia : A monster that can be only killed by non-blue and grey magic. A monstrous speed (maybe the best between all Armored units), a huge amount of HP and DEF and a really decent amount of ATK and a skillset composed of Threaten DEF both in C (-10 def every turn :3) and seal she is a huge wall. Just add Noontime as special and one turn of 2 she can heal by herself :3. And if you are a big sadistic people, just add poison strike as B :3
1 : I don't have her but I want her, even if I can kill easily with Nowi (again her :p) but she can do a lot of damages to my other team members.
It's funny. Mia always ends up outperforming Zihark for me in both Tellius Games. Or at least: she ends up killing more people. Both are always part of my teams.

I haven't played much, as I'm currently going through the game, but if the rest of the game has as many axe units as the first couple chapters of gen 1 then I can see why.

According to you: Dorcas had good HP and strength, was bulky with the speed to double. What was wrong with him then? You give him secret books and make him a monster. Also my Nephenee maxed pretty much all stats in Path of Radiance. The nice thing about Fire Emblem is that it is different each time you play it and you make different connections to characters each time as well
Ok for Nephenee it just because her base stats are terrible, same with her Strength growth and to make thing worse she get quickly outclassed by Oscar and Marcia who can do her job better. Also she foot lock and starts as E level lances.
Nephenee has better skill and defense growth rate, Marcia has better luck and res the rest of their growth rates are the same. I just checked and my Nephenee had max strength Skill and Speed at level 16 in my last play through. Nephenee has Wrath and Luna as a occult skill which is far far batter than Stun. Additionally I would argue that Nephenee has better max stats with Marcia's max 25 strength being pretty weak.
Also you forgot Sanaki’s Weapon upgrade where she gives 3 Atk within 2 spaces and she gets +5 Atk/Res when she within 2 spaces of flying units.
I specifically said "base set vanilla versions only", this includes no weapon refines, Nowi was the only exception I made because I felt with how hers worked it was a significant point of interest.

She doesn't have a horse. That's basically it. She's not TOO bad for a Genealogy footsie, but Genealogy is still Horse Emblem, so she's bad.

El Imperio de Lalo No, but in the context of 4 it kinda does, enemy quality in Genealogy is terrible, especially in gen 1. So it's not hard to do well in combat even with not the best stats, which is why Noish and Alec do well in FE4 tier lists. And when road bonuses give mounted units 4 more move than infantry, being an infantry unit fucking hurts. With enemies being easy to clear out and mounts reaching them so much faster, infantry units struggle to see combat.
of course having a horse does not guarantee being good, but in Genealogy NOT having one guarantees you're "ehh" at best, especially in efficient play.
The best proof of this is Shanan. Thanks to Balmung, he can fuck over the final chapter at base... and yet, he's considered a "meh" unit because he lacks a horse. I think that says quite a lot.

Mia is my favourite FE character, and I agree that using her in PoR is rather painful, however I honestly think she's arguably the best trueblade in Radiant Dawn (Either her or Edward, another big favourite of mine, so I mmmmight be biased) and I'm so glad she's so amazing in Heroes, it's an absolute joy to use her

I don't really care about any new forms of characters unless I find them appealing to me. But I got to say I agree with your choices. Gwendolyn (if I spelled it right.) is one of my favorite units just from what I've heard you say about her! Which is making it really difficult because I'm trying to figure out my army for when I eventually get binding blade on my wiiu/ switch.

Wait...wait...nephenee....really. She got me through Lunatic mode in path of radiance and radiant dawn.. To me she's like the villager unit of path and dawn. Nowi is lolli granny lol. She showed me to one of top two waifu's...ah Hilda, I love Stella Glow. Mia was another unit I used through the end game. For whatever reason she outperformed Zihark. The only encounter I've had with Lyn is warriors and even then I prefer Lucina, my lunatic slaughterer, my main in smash, my main in warriors, and the main waifu standing next to Hilda. Amelia! Ah the memories of you slaughtering everything as a General. Who needs to move when the enemy kills themselves.

Karla being better here than her original game I don't mind... what bother me however is the fact she got better to the point where she POWERCREPT AYRA! She has skills that surpass Ayra's along with the base kit that she gets just summoning her, no skill inheritance needed to buff her up even more than she already has and yet if you do give her more skills to inherit it is basically overkill

This list starts hard, Lyn and Nephenee were both units that I found to be strong units that can be paired up with another unit and clear one side of a map. I guess I had good RNG, but they are also both really strong in heroes.
That's more than likely the case since objectively they're both bad units, however I too tend to get good RNG with them.

Objectively he is... at least on hard mode, granted there are worse units but Aran's bases are poor and like Nephenee is lance locked in an axe dominant game, and though he is very bulky when leveled up, he has serious speed and res issues, despite this I do like using him.
Personally, I always found Lynn to be a bit overpowered. She could critical or dodge most things, and due to having multiple unique swords, she had higher crit than the other sword users. Also, her receiving a bow was quite the perk as sword masters tend to lack versatility, and this bow allowed her to fight at multiple ranges. (And this versatility is why hand axes and javelins remain useful throughout the whole game.)

You didn’t say about Nephenee’s Dauntless Lance which is a slaying lance mixed with slaying spear and gives her +4 Spd/Def when she is attacked.

Not having a mount makes her barely able to partake in any battles.
Genealogy has bigger maps than the rest of Fire Emblem, so eventually your mounted units will be far ahead of your non-mounted units.

TrabantTheDastard why should the leg ring go to ayra and not sigurd or sylvia? Leg ring comes late in chapter 3. There are many things that are easily accessible to a mounted unit there is also canto which is insane in genealogy.
10- I remember when the game just came out I got lucky and pulled Lyn as one of my first 5 stars, and she was invaluable during my early days.
9- Speaking as someone who still hasn’t played PoR it RD, Nephenee seems awesome. I love her personality and Wrath is amazing.
8- Nowi may not be my out right favorite dragon character, that’d be Tiki, but like Lyn she was essential in my early runs. Plus she’s easily likable.
7- Don’t have Mia yet, so I can’t really speak.
6- Don’t have Sanaki either, RNG can be cruel sometimes.
5- Steady Breath+Aether+Stout Tomahawk= The Undying. Love me this man.
4- Probably should invest the feathers in her, could always use another armored unit.
3- Someone I regrettably short changed on first impression, still hoping some TT characters get in the summoning pool just so I can make him even better.
2- Reasons to love her, 1) armor march 2) amazing speed for an armor unit 3) that smile.
1- That Regnal Astra has been my biggest blessing and curse, I swear it completely ignores the weapon triangle sometimes.
If you have Lillina with an atk boon, go for her. She is Sanaki but better, with an incredibly broken legendary tome that has chill res and death blow. Coupled with another death blow on her A and atk boon, she can reach 66 atk before buffs or seals. Add an atk+3 seal and tactics atk and she is at 75 atk. And if the chill res affected the unit you are targeting, 7 extra damage. I've seen her oneshot even some tanky blues!
Try not to get caught up in the community's weird hatred for Nephenee. I, alongside my friends who've gone through Tellius found her damn near overpowered. Like MANY RPG characters who gain Exp, she takes a little work early, early on, but by the midway point and on of both Path and Dawn, she just doesn't get hit hardly ever and when she does, it's for like 4 Dmg, so if Wrath even has a chance to activate, (which it will- -that Skill stat...) she'll stay in that state comfortably forever, critting everyone. I give her a Skill called 'Provoke' that actually draws enemy attention so she can act like a speedy, skillful, both Def AND Res wall, doing a waay better job than a Knight or General without the Speed and Movement penalties. She's like a perfect defensive Myrmidon. You'll wish she were in every game. Tellius is the best; get on it, giirrl! :::)))

Another FEH vid from Blazing? Oh my! Some thoughts from my experience with it overall
A shame some of the entries didn't get their full potential to show off just how monstrous they are. While Nowi is tiers above the rest in sheer power and reliability with breath skill/aether, I think many still underestimate the one punch power of Gwendy. Short version, on my team as a 4*+10 she gets up to 73 def under ideal conditions ignoring terrain. On her own I have her reaching 59 def with Vengeful fighter, Ignis and Harmonic(+10dmg) Lance when attacked. Both instances she swings over a hundred damage.
Mia and Ayra I'll have salt against, due to Ayra's release and both of their stats and weapon. Also large thanks to Athena becoming worse than Mia in every stat and Ayra taking over speed demon with actual damage(and then some).
Main one I've enjoyed is the alts on Lyn(along with others), still waiting on certain characters. Even an axe Charlotte kodsarnit! However at the end of the day, we do get to play with our favorite units and use them as we please...Most of them. I look forward to seeing the next entry and wonder if Mathilda is being considered. Broke my heart to see her balanced to the point of mediocrity
Was Ayra really that bad in fe4? She dodges most of the enemies in the chapter she joins, astra is absolutely insane and she’ll proc it all the time thanks to her high skill, she gets a free brave sword in chapter three which lets her hit 10 times with astra, her base attack and speed are great, and not having a mount isn’t that bad. She’s a better combat unit than Alec, Noish, Midayle, and Beowolf, and Cuan and Fin leave after chapter three. While she is certainly better in heroes, the difference isn’t as big as it is for Gwendolyn or Nino.

She is a sword-locked Infantry unit in the game where maps are ginormous as hell, her durability is on the low side while her avoid is 50/50.
One is gonna said: "You could give her the Leg Ring!" but why you would give her that when Sylvia or Sigurd use it much better than she ever will. Like even Lewyn use it well since he has access to 1-2 range and his combat is the best among Gen 1's Infantry units.

mhm she isn't the best unit in the world like the godlike Seth and marcus or even hector. its just her lack of res def and str however everything else works like skill and speed are great. I feel like I would remember Lyn more than Eliwood in the story. I would always remember hector cause hector and Lyn with the mani katti is a great boost to help her clean sweep enemys in two hits. with the heaven seal in chapter 24 she could pretty much solo with the right supports. she was also my first lord since blazing sword was my first game even thought im not great with fire emblem games. I still play blazing sword to this day and even thought A LOT of peopl.e don't like her its there opinion and I have mine

She'll become a monstruous unit who can beat every map. She is a trainee after all. She is lv3 so she'll level up really quickly
And with a +13 defense and +9 resistance she is probably bulkier than everything in your party, taking no damage even in the last chapter. And she can attack with 2 range.
She was an one man army in my run, tanking in pair with Frederic (Movement and defense bonus are strong, and Frederic is probably one of the best pair who doesn't want xp at all) all the bottom part of final chapter. Just take some elexir because magic still hit her
Solary Nah can just sit around with Dragon stone+ stacked, but you need to do genetics.
She is useless in a lunatic+ run through, but lunatic+ is a run which Virion became usable...

But you should give her a try and grind her in lunatic with the technic of keeping earmy side quest chapter for her.
She'll finish with 50+ defense and 45+ magic resist, alongside middling++ speed and max hp (Without a pair up) which make her one of the best unit in the game. (Actually only gen 2 unit can beat her in pure tanking).

There is the thing with bow being useless which is false. Lunatic+ is a strange meta which bow is the best weapon in the game for three major reason
- Counter is everywhere and bow is the only weapon which don't counter attack in close range. Actually this sole reason make bow strong in lunatic+
- Flyer advantage (Well it's the same with wind magic but it's a plus)
- Bow is the best way to kill lunatic+ Grima. (More like the only way) With a warrior of course. You should try to build a warrior with brave bow in lunatic, you can one shot Grima with one if you pair up with Lucina. Probably without lucina if you use hardcore genetics.
Bow is indispensable in lunatic+. I never beat it without it. And so it's not useless, but not usefull in lower setting. (Exept lunatic for killing Grima)

Before this video starts, I'm fullt expecting to see Gwendolyn from FE6 on this list.
I think legault is a good example of this. He can't promote until chapter 28x, and he overall doesn't have enough strength compared to Raven and Sain. His supports are with bench warmers or late recruits, and he himself is recruited in chapter 20! He's actually quite good in heroes though.
Another example is the aforementioned Gwendolyn. Her red may seem low, but her status as a lance user patches it up SO WELL! Berkut's lance res forged, res boon, distant defense, and +10 merge results in *54 res!* Best girl, best unit.
Ayra definitely surprised me, I didn't even know she was considered a bad unit as astra always made her and her children my go to unit to put into the range of 10+ enemies and end my turn to go for a drink and see that no enemies were left by the time I returned.
I absolutely agree with all of these...except for Nowi. She was already incredible in Awakening, it doesn't take her long to be one of the best units in the army from my experience. But in Heroes? Damn...going up against a +10 Nowi is always terrifying
I know he's a Holiday unit but I think Valentine's Conrad is my favorite Unit in this entire game. Still. He's been the main tank on my team since his first banner, and he has the highest resistance of ANY of my units to this day. He's the only unit I go out of my way to try to get as many merges as I can. It's actually kinda hard for me to utilize tanks to begin with, but set up his skills right and he'll also have a pretty mean attack, too.
As far as Echoes Conrad goes, though. . . He mostly falls by the wayside specifically because he's workign for the wrong army lol
By the time Celica gets him, there's a huge number of maps that do not coincide peacefully with Paladin units.

In my playthrtough of PoR, Mia was my best swordmaster. Must've been lucky with those levels.
How the heck was Roy not on the list? A foot locked, sword locked unit who doesn't promote until the end of the game and who's only redeeming factor is the most broken end-game weapon of all time! Just saying, he should be on the list.
Because he's actually better than Lyn objectively since being sword lock in BB isn't a problem as the game host many axe users, also he has perfect availability, Lyn doesn't and is sword locked in a lance focused game.
Man, the more I play FE, the more I hate the fact that most games don't have (common/buyable) ranged swords. So many sword-locked units would be better if IS allowed for that in more games. I'm surprised you only mention the weapon refine for Nowi and not Lyn, Nephenee Sanaki, etc. .Also, Honorable mention to Nino.
He mentions it for Lyn. He says that "Lyn has Desperation and Brash Assault on her Sol Katti", but that's only posible if you give Sol Katti its effect refinement, so he did mention it. Kinda.
About Sanaki... her refinement is situational at best, and while when she is next to a flyer she becomes even more of a nuke, it's not on the same league as, say, Sol Katti or Forblaze. Ultimately, while Forblaze is only marginally weaker than Raudrblade but much more versatile and easy to use, Cymbeline is objetively worse than Raudrblade in almost every way, and Raudrblade doesn't have a refine.
Nephenee's new weapon came after the scatered fangs banner, and Blazingknight said that he wouldn't cover Scattered FAngs or anything after that. That said, refining her old slaying lance made her even better, that much I agree. My Neph used to run a def+ slaying lance (as she is def+ atk-), so she was Lukas' level of physical tank, at 42 def with no merges.

I think other member of the Ayra fanbase already said this but Ayra has :
-Brave sword which allow her to one round almost every ennemy unit in the game
-Sword locked isn't bad : Swords have lowest weight, allowing her to double a lot of ennemy.For example, without the speed ring, Finn can have difficulty to double the sword ARMORED knights of the chapter 2.
Swords can also hit ranged target, did you know you can have two magic swords ing Gen1 ? Thunder sword drop upon killing a boss on chapter 3, and you gain the Wind Sword when you bring Dew to the Blaggi tower. ( I assume you never see the Wind Sword, because Dew is a foot unit and you consider foot unit garbage, without looking to the stats or global utility
-Astra : "luck based skill... not reliable" I already know you will say that but 16 base skill + 5 skill from the skill ring dropped by the boss following her recruitement + 5 skill from the promotion. That's a wonderfull 26% luck of launching Astra, without considerating the skill GR (60%).
26% of launching astra, and the fact she double (quad with the hero sword), she has a high chance of launching it in one battle
-Nihil : Allow her to not fear the few, but dangerous killer weapon ennemies users.
-Adept : When promoted, Ayra have adept, a speed based skill allowing to deal more blow
And for your counter argument, I want do respond to them in advance :
-Brave sword can be trade to one the garbage horse like Noish or Alec :
The hero sword will cost them 8 000 Gold, if I remember correctly, but they only starts with 2 000 gold, and this is not enought to buy the Brave Sword. (And they have a lot of trouble to defeting more than the first ennemy in arena, so I don't see were they will find the gold necessary...
-Horse can reach ennemy first :
Please think about it, what is the best between reach the ennemy first, but not being able to defeat more than one of two because of a lack of speed and damage OR taking a few more turn to reach the ennemy but annihilate them ?
The few good horse in Gen1 are Sigurd, Lex, and Finn & Cuan but they leave your party in the middle of the Gen1

Remember early of chapter 4 ? Try to send sigurd with a javelin in the bunch of wind mage. He will have a few chances of survives because his evade will be lowered, so imagine one of the garbage knight with a javelin trying the same thing. Theirs surviving chances are around... zero. In most cases, the better way to kill a bunch of mage is not an 1-2 weapons, but a better mage.

-Only gen 1 unit with astra
-Can hit ennemies 4 to 8 times (20 if launch 4 astra, but the ennemy die before)
-Easily reach 50% critical
-Dodge almost every ennemies
-Second faster unit in gen 1 (lose it to Levin, but forseti is overpowered, +20 speed)
Ayra in FEH
-Only unit with regnal astra
-Only hit ennemies 2 times, only if they are slower, and they don't have wary fighter / SB
-No critical in FEH
-No dodge in FEH

September 2020: You're saying? (At that point, Jill was the last person in the lineup to have joined Heroes in any shape or form, and yes, Louise first showed up as an alt. Everyone has since showed up in the game.)
Yeah, that waiting line joke is kinda badly aged now that three of them are in Heroes now (Maribelle via Ylissian Travelers, Flora via Nohrian Dusk, and Kliff via Brave Redux).
I love hearing those tf2 voice lines, those are a nice lil' touch in my opinion. (Same goes for the other lines to be honest.)
