I’ve been wondering that since this interview dropped. You can see Dafne panic a little, looking down and tapping her arm rest.
Charlie is really fast on the no lightsaber thing though, so I’m not 100% sure.
@@Flettwin yeah the reaction feels like it’s kind of telling… I really feel like there’s something really interesting going on with that character, he’s taking my interest the most in these first two episodes, especially when the character kind of puts it out that he’d kind of not too serious but then there’s this flicker of change when he realises she’s the other twin, then back to kind of bumbling when the others come in but at the end the way he’s able to manoeuvre around her moves so smoothly, those are some skills, and I can’t remember if it’s this interview or another one they said he was best at stunts (I’ve watched a bunch since last week) I think daphne and Charlie aren’t the best at keeping spoilers, whereas manny seems a pro (probably from all The Good Place surprises) I’m intrigued. Also knowing how the show runner wrote this character specifically for this actor… I’m really intrigued!

Freakin' Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett) is in Star Wars now? Wow. From being being a candidate at Firehouse 51, to making squad, to being in a galaxy far far away.
I remember Charlie from Chicago Fire. Saw him on a few seasons. Then he wasn't on the show anymore.
Only things I have seen Dafne Keen is Logan and His Dark materials! Great to see her in new shows especially Star Wars! ❤😆 Look forward to it!

Oh. After more than 20 years of being a Star Wars fan, I've finally learned that a work that takes the fight between good and evil to an almost religious level is "morally gray" and I can just look at things from the perspective of the Galactic Empire and Darth Vader if I want to. . Thanks Disney!

Dafne's at that age, raging hormones, and unfortunately poor judgement. I can only hope that being part of this terrible show will teach her to be more careful in the future before jumping aboard a new project. Don't take a job just for the money, because it may make finding future work more difficult.

@9:35 - Are you kidding me? "Star Wars" was always about good versus evil. The Empire basically enslaved an entire galaxy. They blew up a planet. But "it depends on your viewpoint". This is just another example of both the desecration of everything George Lucas created, and how much the people involved at Lucasfilm now have no clue about the IP.
But there where good people in the empire and bad people in the rebellion it depends on what a person believes don't forget saw

This whole "depends on how you view things" is just more needless Disney meddling, trying to diminish anything Lucas did in his OT.
Yeah, that line irked me, but considering someone young could've had a _very_ different introduction to _Star Wars,_ *especially* if entering via Disney's _Star Wars,_ it is a _little_ more understandable. (Just as an example with something even pre-Disney, imagine if someone first got into _Star Wars_ via the _Knights of the Old Republic_ games, especially the second one, haha. Whether or not they're canonical wouldn't matter when it comes to the impact.) The line's still something of a red flag, but as various productions in the Disney _Star Wars_ age introduce more nuanced and sympathetic portrayals of villains (which I personally love as I've grown older, by the way, while still loving the good ol' hero's journey and good vs. evil grand space opera), this is gonna be more and more understandable and true, despite the IP's original storytelling.

From a Sith’s point of view, which this show is based on, here it is.
How a joke? He’s absolutely right in terms of what he’s saying. No Sith, Separatist, Imperial etc actually saw themselves as evil. Very often the lines were blurred which we really saw in Andor

My favorite part was when they pretended this show was actually going to get made

@@Sam_T2000 incorrect, they just scrambled to put together a sizzle reel to try and get approval to film the show. Apparently they got it together just in time for celebration.
@@KinseiSensei - correction: not quite finished filming, but almost, having been in production since last October. there was a teaser trailer shown at Celebration, and that leaked online… it was obviously much more than a proof of concept.

I'm no fan of Kathleen Kennedy and am disappointed with lots of Disney _Star Wars_ productions, but I'm cautiously looking forward to this, being quite intrigued by the first storyline told from a Sith's point of view. I've actually wanted and vaguely imagined a Sith movie trilogy for some time.
