All these musicians are at the top of the game of course, but still...playing together like this creates a vibe it’s difficult to get otherwise and which, given all the differences in terms of equipment and musical history, is a true tribute to Robert Johnson. Clapton’s love of this music, and his long-term immersion in it, is evident in every detail of his singing and playing. Everyone else in the room responds and contributes to the total feel. Beautiful.

I play the acoustic version. Spent years thinking about nice ways to sing this and Clapton just captures it in the most authentic and convincing way.
