A huge part of Personal Integrity is letting it show through what One does.
If One says they have integrity, but tries to cover things up/make things 'perfect' in their work or relationships, that's a HUGE RED FLAG. The reason folks like your Art Phil, aside from your takent of course, is because You shine through everything You do.
      You Phil. ¿Comprender?
      Blessings,
      Rev. Kevin 🙏🏼

Hi Phil this piece of wood is just so amazing, again you took an ugly duckling and made a swan out of it. You have a way of bringing out the awesome beauty of whatever piece of wood you are given. Fantastic.

You are just full of those little tricks of the trade(finding the center). If you don’t mind I’ll keep that little tip in my mind. The piece is just gorgeous Phil. And you’re right we can’t improve in Mother Nature. You don’t fool with Her either. That’s surely a keeper for the Master. Thanks for sharing!

Can't improve on nature but somehow you have. I think that's why God gave us Phil. To improve his creation. Wonderful work! I envy you the wood you are given to improve . I wanted to see the top edge rolled more but that wasn't possible or practical. Fantastic work Phil, thank you for sharing.

Just wanted to say thanks for always mentioning face shield and mask for any aspiring woodworkers who are watching. All it takes is a flying rock shard or wood splinter in the cheek to realize you need more than just eye cover. I speak from experience there.
And as far as a mask, I cut and carve semiprecious stones as a hobby and silicosis or other occupational lung damage is absolutely no joke -even hobby woodworking/stonecarving can cause permanent lung damage over time if you dont use a proper respirator. So thanks for that, its something I rarely see mentioned in other wood or stoneworking channels.
Im so glad I found this channel. I love your explanations of what you are doing and attention to natural beauty and form. You can see the beautiful shape hidden in the wood and have the skill to bring it out, but you arent cocky about it. Thats a rare gift.

Last week I had two Pileated Woodpeckers attack the side steps from the house and destroyed the top two steps. At first I was mad but then I saw that they were after dang carpenter bee larva that had bored their way into the steps. It turns out that the woodpeckers may have save someone's life by showing me the very weakened steps. It only took five minutes for the birds to do the amazing amount of wood removal. Someone needs to create a machine that can duplicate a woodpecker's handy work. Phil, you could add a ton more fun if you add a tool like that. Me, I measured twice, cut once and repaired the steps to like new and checked the rest of the steps which were all untouched by carpenter bees. I love your Cheer Burl Masterpiece !!!!!

I read a story many years ago about a famous sculpter (sorry I do not remember which one). He was asked if he was afraid when he came close to the end of the piece of work. He replied no, that he was not making a sculpture but he was just rel;easing what God had put into that piece of rock. He could not make a mistake because what came out was what God intended, he just releases the beauty. You do the same thing with the wonderful pieces you make, and this one is no exception. You do a fantastic job of letting the beauty inside shine out. Thanks for another wonderful piece!

I thought about that long and hard, Crystal. I figured the ink would dry out before I could make the mark. @@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop was anyone really surprised that the solution involved hitting something hard? We are human after all, we hit things with other things, thats our super power. Oh, and crayon will work, sticks to the bar and will transfer to the wood.

Just watched the video and all the challenges you encountered, turned out just beautiful, That was the right decisions you made. I used the centering method and it turned out spot on. I improved on it by sharpening a point on the end of an old rod, it made the divot easer to see. It turned out just Beautiful as always . I always learn something when i watch the Phil Anderson Magic Show. Thanks for teaching this Old Dog a new trick. KEEP ON TURNING

I am new to your channel, but I have done some wood turning to make fingerrings. I would love to buy a bigger machine to try out bigger pieces.
I like the way you comment your work. It helps to understand!

Bonsoir Phil !
Congratulation PHIL ! Jean-Luc
